Minecraft on the PC is $30. Since they’re basically the same exact game (without modding, texture packs and character skins right away) call them generous for pricing it at $20. They basically put the entire minecraft wiki in the game and the game has a full tutorial.

  • http://www.facebook.com/azombieriot Jerod Long

Definitely getting Minecraft. That’s hands down. My computer sucks and I have to run Minecraft at the lowest possible settings to try and get something out of it. Not fun.

Plus I can take it to a friends house and all of us can play together. That’s a plus! All of us don’t need to buy it to play together like we have to for PC.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_T7LOQAEEWPFE7UBMQGVCTNELQI huck

wha? this game has split screen or something?

      • http://www.facebook.com/azombieriot Jerod Long

        Yep. 4 Player split-screen.

  • http://twitter.com/Ganon255 Ganon255

Great promo video. I plan on getting all four titles.

    1600 for Minecraft? Jeez!

  • http://twitter.com/mathuthe Mathias Olivera

1600 for that BS? LOL, Microsoft. LOL. We should’ve figured it out. We should’ve known.

Everyone says it’s $ 20 on PC, but will the console version get all the mods and updates the PC version gets??

Thank god I don’t play kiddies games :)

    Trials <333

    • http://www.facebook.com/pwnmanexe Travis Maus

It won’t get mods, ya dummy.

      • http://twitter.com/mathuthe Mathias Olivera

        I know that… That’s why I said it.

    • Anonymous

I cant imagine what you say when you walk into a grocery store…

    • Anonymous

Mods, no, but they’ve said it will get constant updates.

      • Anonymous

I’m sure it will be updated on regular basis, they’ve shown us it’s been done before, they already did with Game Room didn’t they ? …wait.

  • http://twitter.com/mathuthe Mathias Olivera

I’d buy every Fallout NV DLC in a heart beat

Finally after all the rumors and speculation the official date of Trials Evolutions is upon us

I knew Minecraft would be at least 1600MSP.  I commend everyone involved in showing restraint – I suspected it would be the first to launch at 2000 because…well…they’d get it.   Puzzle Quest Galactrix was launched at 1600 as well, and that was a release-day purchase in this household.  If it bothers you that much, wait for sales that may never come… you obviously don’t want the game *THAT* bad if you won’t pony-up and support the developer.   I wait for sales for those titles that I’m “On the fence” about, but am the 1st to show support and I’m refreshing my dashboard in the morning of a new release for something I have been waiting for.   For example: if they ported X-wing vs. Tie Fighter to XBLA and it was 1600, I’d be cackling maniacally while waiting for it to populate in the marketplace.

Now if only the Major would be so kind to announce the 500GB hard drive upgrade.   I wont be able to get anything new until then – I’m out of room and I’ve already deleted everything I didn’t want to keep.    I’m probably going to lose my mind when the GoD sale happens if Crysis is in the list.

Well, I’m an xbla junkie and still stuck on a 20GB hard drive. I have to juggle around games/demos all the time. Problem is that the hard drives for the non-slim xboxes are very expensive and then you still don’t have a transfer cable, which you have to buy as well :/

I can’t imagine having to purge and re-download everything like that all the time.   I have been accused of having far too much patience, but I think I’ve just met my match.

whats really sad is we look forward to 500GB hard drives that will no doubt be a ridiculous expensive price. I felt like I was really ripped off on 360 Slim Launch Day, when i found out false advertising led me to believe I could swap the HDD with a larger, AFFORDABLE hard drive from any store like with my PS3. But NO, they have to make everything locked out and proprietary. Xbox Hard Drive scams make me feel like s MicroSlave.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_T7LOQAEEWPFE7UBMQGVCTNELQI huck

or u could just plugg in a usb hdd…. i know they dont do everything a retaill hdd does (backwards compatability, game caching) but they wont cost u much, and u can jam 16GB into each port…  kinda sad that they even still sell OFFICIAL hard drives…
on second thought maybe just go to your local  mod guys and ask them to make u a 500GB hdd… cheaper and easier…

Already looked into it… can’t be done unless you fully commit to going darkside.

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_T7LOQAEEWPFE7UBMQGVCTNELQI huck

most untrue, they pretty much work safely or they dont work…
thats all im gunna say about it here…

  • wwemusicvideos

It’s good to get the release dates finally. The prices are very fair I believe considering what you get. These games could easily sell for £40 like the usual retail games, so stop complaining.

Trials is a definite purchase the day it comes out… looking forward to it already!

I’ll pay 1600MSP for minecraft no problem, it’s a fun game that I’ll play with my kids. I just wish they’d stop charging for everything e.g. Themes and avatar clothing; the useless stuff. Just feels like I’m being shaken down for every nickle and dime.

Can’t wait for Trials.  Loved testing out multiplayer at PAX Prime.  Gonna be awesome!

  • http://twitter.com/Navarin Bennijin Turbo

Is there a pointsback incentive for buying them all? At those prices there better be.

You think you guys waiting until May for Minecraft have it bad? I’ve got to wait until the cost isn’t a joke!

  • http://www.facebook.com/Rulaz.Marduk Rulaz Rueda Franco

When does minecraft is coming out?

    • Anonymous

      Really?

      • Anonymous

if you look closely it was sarcasm… He actually would pay 4800 (that’s it, trice the official pricetag) And eager to get a season pass, of course.

  • http://twitter.com/therealyocow William

Guys, 1600 points is the equivalent of $20, which was as much as Minecraft Beta was before, And this is technically one of the Beta builds. Plus there are many updates to come, so I do not think its worth complaining about. But that’s only my opinion.

    • http://twitter.com/Navarin Bennijin Turbo

Nobody said those updates would be free.

    Bright side:
    Variety and Quality titles.

May 9th is a bad timing for Minecraft, it’s too late, and it’s too close to the Diablo 3 :(

  • Anonymous

Defiantly going to check out BloodForge and Fable.

  • mw3 ghost

i wonder will there be another microsoft points bonus for participating in ARCADE NEXT i participate in all  4 house party games and still have not gotten my 800 msp

  • Anonymous

Trials EVO for me – instant purchase, without even downloading the trial. :D

Not sure about Bloodforge tho. It looks ok…will see how will turns out.

  • http://twitter.com/Dorwrath Ω Jalil Purtow Ω

Minecraft 1600MSP ?  Not a huge issue, but I see this as the gradual push toward 1600MSP being the standard  instead of the 1200MSP.

  • http://www.facebook.com/TheRealDarthBrady Daniel Brady

Too bad Minecraft won’t let you use custom textures or any additional PC features. They could have at least made the Xbox 360’s version cross compatible with the online multiplayer on the PC version. If they do that. I will at least recommend my friend get the xbox version to play with them from my windows PC. Either way, no way I’m paying for the 32 bit Xbox 360 version too when I own the PC version.

I’m just saying: it would have been smarter to at least try to sell the game to PC minecraft gamers as well as xbox gamers who have not played it or don’t own the game yet. But PC Minecraft gamers don’t even really have a reason to be excited about this release. Call me when it hits the 3DS – That’s what i want to see.

Yeah, sorry about the extra posts… I was creating my account for the first time and all the verification business messed up my posts.  Mah bad.

     … price?

Why does minecraft have to come so late

  • http://twitter.com/Lucky13X Lucky13X

    Nice.

Your(MGS) choice to focus on small-form games may just pay off, but please don’t forget to still try at expanding beyond Halo, Fable and Forza & Kinect titles for our retail offerings.

I love how so many people complain about 1600 ms points… I mean seriously its just 20$, 1600 ms points is not bad at all honestly, I mean what would you expect for a game that’s highly demanded on a console. Besides if Microsoft really wanted to troll they could have priced at 2400

  • aStrangeDisease

Yeah baby! I can’t wait for new Trials!

Also sweet is Minecraft for only $20. That’s cheaper than the PC version!

  • Ryan Lovatt

Trials is going to be great! Not fussed at all about the rest, minecraft is old news.

  • Avikumar Patel

Why the hate for the 1600 price for minecraft??  It costs nearly $10 more on the pc.

    • http://twitter.com/cukins09 Hardijs

Because there are no mods (probably).

  • http://twitter.com/Byyys Byyys

My comments have to be approved first  ….. dafug?!

Trials Evolution is a definite buy, despite the prior release being incredibly rage-worthy, it still looks like so much fun. I’ll trial the rest.

  • http://www.facebook.com/whalesgomoo Hannah Louise Rogers

Looking forward to minecraft.. doubt it’ll be as good as pc though. Better live up to the price. :3

  • Anonymous

Will we be seeing all of these titles on a disc based media? The price does add up to a convenient $60 ;)

  • Anonymous

Another thing, I would have been more satisfied with the boost in price for Minecraft if they would have simply labeled it as a “on demand” title and gave us 1000 gamerscore just like Resident Evil 4, go big or go home.

    • http://twitter.com/SamboTaylor Sam Taylor

Why would an extra 600 potential gamerscore convince you to buy a game?

      • Anonymous

…cause there’s people that actually care about gamerscore. Being it the reason why arcades will have 400G. To BOOST sales (pun intended?).

  • Anonymous

Bloodforge kind of reminds me of God of War from the PS3. Might be interesting to try out.

I’ve never played Minecraft before, I guess now’s a good time to try.

  • Zacchary Townsend

Why May 9th?! First off Diablo is comming out less than a week after that and also the game is already done and ready launch already on the Xbox. (is what
Mojang said) Now we are just waiting on XBLA to release and they pick the worst and longest possible waiting time. >_> Not cool.

  • Anonymous

me wants MUNCH ODYSEE / ODDWORLD STRANGERS @ XBOX marketplace.

  • http://twitter.com/Kyle_Groulx311 Kyle Groulx

Is there any incentive to purchase all four games ?
