What happened to Kung Fu Strike: The Warrior’s Rise?

Aren’t there like 3 games coming out today (one is pinball I think)?  And then South Park on Friday?

    Also, on topic: Overpriced.

  • Anonymous

    Wow, day-1 DLC?  Yikes.

  • http://twitter.com/Ganon255 Ganon255

Terrible trial. Too cumbersome to get to the actual gameplay. Found myself not caring after about one minute. Where’s my pinball?

  • Anonymous

Pricing like this makes me yearn for Steam. Crazy.

I have to shake my head and demos that don’t offer a solid single player representation of what their game is.  Why only multiplayer?   Or am I just not seeing the option to do a single player race?  Anyways, The only thing I was able to do was either get into an online match or use two controllers.  Either way, not a purchase for me, just wasn’t that exciting.

played the demo and I have to say it sucks!

  • Anonymous

I was thinking about buying the game — well, I was going to download the demo — and I noticed it is 1200 points ($15) with a release day DLC for 400 points ($5) — WTF!!!  Anyway, seeing the release day DLC I wont even try the demo.  Companies need to stop being greedy when it comes to DLC.

    • http://twitter.com/mistic192 Johan Van Loon

you don’t need the DLC at all, the best track ever is already in the base-game ( Ice Bridge ), just play that in MP with Chaos-rules and you’ll never get tired of it :-D ( I’ve been playing Mashed for ever since it came out, one of the best local-mp-games ever! And this is just “fresh” enough to keep me going :-) )

      • Anonymous

That’s all very nice — But I refuse to support a company that shows this type of greed.  It’s a principle thing.

I really hope most people pass on Wrecked, if not to send a message to microsoft that we aren’t stupid enough to pay premium for bad games that sell based on greedy tactics of unclear release dates.
I guess microsoft figures that by holding back games people actually wanted to play (like maybe Pinball Arcade) they’ll get more impulse buys on titles they know no one really wants, like Wrecked.

In the end this is only going to lose the interest of more focused gamers, who will just shrug off the fact that Microsoft NEVER has their dates right and just move on to a different console.

I’m extremely lucky my friend works at Gamestop so I was able to return my unused MS Points card (second time i’ve had to do this) and exchange it for a Nintendo or Sony one, at least they have solid release dates and don’t need to over-hype titles by lying about when a game actually comes out.

wow at first i was like YESSSSS!!…. then i read ur guys comments…   :( 1200+dlc….NOOOOOO!!!

  • Armi Naka

     Just to stay on
topic about the game. I’ve played and loved all the Micro Machines
top-down racers as well as the Super Sprint and Badlands arcade
    classics, and
I have to say this is hands down the worst  top-down
racing game probably ever made, the fact that it’s 12000 points crowns
this as the biggest joke on the marketplace. You can get racers twice
this good for 80 points on the Indie game marketplace. It really is that
    bad.

DO. NOT. WANT. (and lol @ 1200)

  • http://twitter.com/Navarin Bennijin Turbo

Hahaha, why did they even bother?

  • Armi Naka

Never heard of Mashed, and after trying this steaming pile, I can see why I’ve never seen the game mentioned before. Honestly, this IS a nothing game, it honestly wouldn’t even hold it’s own against most of the 80 point top-down indie marketplace racers.
Being made by a company you know shouldn’t excuse a game from being downright terrible.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_T7LOQAEEWPFE7UBMQGVCTNELQI huck

u probly never heard of it coz its like 7 or so years old, on the old xbox,
it was pretty fun back then…

I think he also forgot what fun is… Playing this with three friends is some of the best multiplayer gaming I know!

      • http://twitter.com/mistic192 Johan Van Loon

trust me, this one is still a hell of a lot of fun, just played MP for an hour with the same 3 guys ( that I didn’t know ), just playing Ice Bridge with Chaos Rules, repeat repeat repeat!

    • http://twitter.com/mistic192 Johan Van Loon

If you think this is a “nothing game” then you haven’t played it enough. The physics as in Mashed are really deep, and though it’s a simple game to get, it is a very hard game to master!

I’ve been hosting game-evenings for over 10 years now, and there is not a single game that comes even close to a 5th of the gametime spent on Mashed. You can pick it up and learn how to play in 1 minute, but mastering it is a whole other thing.

Actually most of the game is completely unnecessary, there should only be one track: Ice Bridge ( Polar Wharf in Mashed ) and it would’ve been enough for me and everybody that has ever visited one of our gameparties will agree :-)

played the trial last night…..mmmmm. leaves a little to be desired. would have been nice to be able to hear the cars more and maybe a single player level with a couple of tracks would entice people. at the moment definitely not worth 1200 points.

  • http://twitter.com/CAMELofVIPERs BOB Sarge

haven’t played it yet,DLing the demo now.
EA has once again proved they don’t care about their costumers,by removing BURNOUT:REVENGE(Which XBL is STILL selling for about $20.00 cash, knowing full well it is being removed from online play on 4/13/2012 by EA,there are other titles on the list as well; YET XBL is still selling online(ONLY) DLC  for these titles)
from online play;i was thinking this title maybe a replacement, but reading others comments here seems NOT.
1200pts. is crazy for almost every arcade title put out.
after all these years, rarly does one find a title that supports 4 player local co-op(this one offers 4 player local;but it’s a racing title) Feeling that XBL is going to be losing alot of gold members with-in the next 2 yrs.;solely on the greediness and lack of making games for local 4 player co-op,(AS THE SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED FOR)

  • Oscar Ventura

This is way over priced, but besides that, what the hell ever happened to WARLORDS anyways? It has Avatar shirts and “how to play” videos but no demo or game….

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=641683172 Benjamin Davis

Don’t know what game you guys were playing, but this holds it’s sway against Mashed – played the one level of the trial a lot this afternoon, and very much plan to buy the full game.

same here, i was all ready to be disapointed by this game and then i wasnt…

played the trial with a mate last nite and would have bought it straight away if
      a) it was 800
      b) ms let me buy more points without a credit card

send me an invite if u like…

Played the full game today, it’s great! You have full customisation of the game setup, including a bunch of post death air strike options – lots of new and funky weapons, and once again – with 3 others who are getting right into it, this is a guarenteed laugh, cheer and jostle multiplayer game!

I will say that given the low count of tracks available it feels like 1200 is a bit over doing it – but the reality is half of these girls whining about points have spent more money on stuff way less awesome. So they just need to stop whining, get 3 friends and buy this game!

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_T7LOQAEEWPFE7UBMQGVCTNELQI huck

          bought it….  expensive but good…

  • Anonymous

well im totally amazed that people find this game good, and worth 1200 ms points. they must have one hell of a loyal fan base, maybe they’ll thank you with a day 1 DLC for an extra 400 points, those guys ;)
