    And Costa Rica?!?!

  • Juan Carlos Soto

Is there going to be an app of the NFL for the XBOX Live?, if so, when?, and when it will be available in Mexico?

    • mcmax3000

I’m not aware that the NFL has an online subscription service like MLB does so until they do, I doubt you’ll see an app for it on Xbox Live.

      • MetzlerAndy

Yes, there is an NFL online pass, but man, it’s expensive. And I agree, I doubt that we will be able to watch it on XBox.

      • Russell Gorall

They do. They have a couple, just for fun.

  • MetzlerAndy

Well, THAT is good news in my opinion. Germany, there may be hope. Now bring the Lovefilm app that was originally intended to launch with the new dashboard.

  • uss_liberty

Wow! Baseball! That’s soooo big outside of USA and Cuba.
    Or wait a minute…

    • MetzlerAndy

Sure, but it is a start. Way better than always US only

  • Rafal Napora

Hilarious, a baseball channel comes to Polish Xbox Live despite the fact that no one here gives two sh*ts about baseball. I like how this is the third channel that we get in Poland (first two being only YouTube and DailyMotion – yep, that’s all we had so far) and it’s absolutely not adjusted to the culture of the country that it’s being released in.

Ideas for the future: give us an American Football channel and a Cricket channel as well – we care about them just about as much as we care about baseball… -_-

    • uss_liberty

      I hear you brother.
And all the while, hey MS, restrain yourselves from your urge to enable the Kinect voice commands on the dashboard for us non-americans. We wouldn’t want to have one of Kinects main selling points when it’s something you can enable worldwide in 2 seconds.
The fact that it works flawlessly in Forza 4 and Skyrim for us is probably a bug that you guys will fix soon by turning it off for us without the right localization? :)

      • Rafal Napora

True, I also like how they charge us full price for a product that doesn’t provide 100% functionality (compared to e.g. US). Cause last time I checked Kinect wasn’t cheaper in Poland just because some of the advertised features did not work.

        • J.

STOP complaining, Poland. I and everyone else on here is getting tired seeing you whine in each and every post.

          WE. DONT. CARE.

If you dont like it then get a ps3 or something.

    • ungeheier

Trust me, you’re not missing out on anything. The only one i use is Youtube, and that’s SUPER laggy.

    • O Malley

Well if you don’t like it, make your own console!

  • dfjdejulio

Please clarify: when you report that CinemaNow works “with no subscription required”, do you really mean that it’s available to Silver accounts? Gold isn’t required?

    • ungeheier

It probably means that you dont have to give you CC info over to CinemaNow, and can just rent/purchase movies/TV shows using MS points?

      • dfjdejulio

Hm, if content costs MS points, then there’s no reason to deny it to Silver accounts. Zune purchase/rent works for Silver accounts, does this? (If not, I’ll probably stick with iTunes; if so, I’ll strongly consider trying it if the prices are comparable.)

  • ungeheier

Also too, no matter how many times I read ” will be offer ” it doesn’t make sense… Anyone?

  • skycorgan

Here is the funny thing about this whole thing… the only places where baseball is really popular (US/Canada), there are massive blackout restrictions. Meanwhile, people who don’t care about baseball get no restrictions.

MLB’s blackout restrictions for this service are ridiculous. I am blacked out from 3 different teams, so I refuse to buy in. As soon as they remove all blackout restrictions and let me watch the games I want to watch when they are on, they will get my money fairly instantly.

    • mcmax3000

I agree completely. I live in Canada and the one Canadian team is blacked out in the entire country. Why on earth would I want to pay for the service when I can’t watch my country’s only team?

  • Boyd Hadouken Mccoy

America and the UK get all the good things.
How about introducing indie games or HBO GO in the Netherlands?

    • mcmax3000

Indie Games are one thing, but you really expect Microsoft to introduce HBO’s service in another country?

If you want HBO Go in your country (and I understand completely, I don’t have access to it here in Canada either), go talk to HBO. It’s their service, not Microsoft’s.

      • J.

HBO is offered via several tv providers over here already.

        • mcmax3000

So? That’s not the point. I have HBO here in Canada too. However, HBO Go isn’t available outside the US on any platform to the best of my knowledge.

The point is, if you want HBO Go in your country, talk to HBO, not Microsoft. It’s up
to HBO to offer the service in your country before Microsoft can offer
          the 360 app for it.

    • Inaba-kun

We don’t get that much in the UK, not when compared to the US. And you should see our Netflix, it’s like the world’s worst charity shop DVD bargain bin

  • Silent Killer01

    Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol
    CinemaNow: $3.99

    • Iamdanight90

Yet again I don’t think everyone has a redbox in walking distance. It sure beats dish ppv

  • Zak O’Neill

  • medveten

I agree that baseball might not be that interesting to people outside US, not at all imo, but still it’s a step in the right direction. I rather have Baseball, American football, Boul and chess on available on my xbox, then nothing at all.
It’s a small step, but at least it’s a step in the right direction. One of the few times we Europeans (outside UK) get something too.

  • Russell Gorall

Any word on when you guys are going to fix youtube? For a blog like this, you could… I don’t know, address it.

  • Achilleas G

Well that’s intresting, again not Greece (not that we care about baseball) but we care about youtube, so bring it here when you remember. We pay gold too you know.

    • fsdfg dsfds

Exactly , U.S cant compete with the rest of the world in sports so it plays its own BS lol, BasketBall is all good tho

  • Inaba-kun

Such an odd move to release something which only Americans care about internationally. Would be interesting to see what the uptake is. I’d be surprised if the non US subscribers were even 0.01%.

Personally I’d sooner have a Crunchyroll (anime provider) app, and I’d like to see the live TV offering expanded. In the UK the only live TV options we have are Murdoch paywall tabloid junk. Bizarrely none of the BBC channels are available live, just on demand on iPlayer, despite being available live on other versions of iPlayer. (such as iOS) Obviously it’s not that important, but it would be nice to be able to get the HD BBC channels for those of us without HD over the air tuners in our HDTVs.

Oh and HBO Go would be nice too. It’s too bad HBO are so reluctant to offer decent legal alternatives to piracy.

  • Chris

I want an NHL app :( You can’t really rewatch most sports on ESPN app, it’s really a drag.

  • Armand van Knippenberg

France, Netherlands, UK and Germany. And the one land that lies right in the middle of them? Belgium??? They always shut us out of everything. We also pay for Live but dont get any services. We only got that stupid dailymotion which by the way is in French!!! The most of us speak Dutch. And the most gamers understand English, so make those services available for the whole world. I dont even need voice recognition in Dutch here, English is much better. But no, they rather give us nothing. I even give up sending mails to Xbox and MS about this, they’re probably too stupid to answer

    • Boe2

Because you absolutely LOVE watching US baseball matches, right?
I’m the first to agree that the xbox live service in Belgium is lacking (PLEASE, at least give us the REASON why you refuse to release indie games in Belgium), but this channel really is nothing to complain about.

  • Zizics Fanta László

    Hungary: Still no Youtube. wtf….

    • Jim E. Rustler

So you could say you’re STARVED for apps? Dohoho…

  • metallicorphan

    ESPN App for UK please

  • Jim E. Rustler

A World Series of a sport only one country plays.

  • O Malley

I hear baseball is all the rage in India.

  • Paul Gardiner

Sat here (in the UK) watching the Yankees/ Rays in glorious HD. Awesome job, MS, fantastic work, brilliant technical achievement. Keep moving the platform forward.

  • gerblanski

    Give us NHL already! [UK]

  • fried_egg

Xbox makes a really bad tv platform, if the price doenst come down and these useless additions get erased then xbox live will no longer be a “do I need a games machine sub” but a “do i need to pay for a 2nd tv service that isnt as good as the one I already have” – and the answer to that one is, oh look, I have a really good android phone having dumped my windows one…

  • Liam

When NBA League Pass and NFL Game Pass integration finally arrive, both services shall receive my top Aussie dollar.

  • BigHurt360

Why no love for us Norwegian gamers? You just take away our previously bought Xbox Classics, and don’t even give us access to INDIE games. So weak.. Why do you hate us Microsoft?

  • Fernando Coli Viotto

I would like to see CinemaNow working in Brazil as well since here in my country Netflix still lacks in up to date movies.

  • Bubbles4444

I bet in Poland they don’t have four blacked out teams like I do in Charlotte, NC.
