I love it when Sega brings out classics! I’m going to try out Monster World today. Please port Ristar Sega!

  • Hugoku

    These collections look very interesting.
Will download the trials and see if they are worth it. Don’t look like they were put together hastily to make a quick buck.

  • Khufu23

Oh my God!! Super Hang-on!!… Revenge of Shinobi!!! Yes! This is just the best day ever.

  • mando6599

I played Alex Kidd for so long as a kid, so many fond memories of that game! I’m gonna DL the trial and see if it’s only nostalgia or if my memories were spot on!

  • Fernando Foga├ža

Y U NO include Wonder Boy 3: Dragon’s Trap, SEGA? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY???

  • gamereviewgod

Why would the trials be limited to the first game in each set? It’s even more baffling when the selling point of Monster World is MWIV, but you can’t play it in the trial. I love these titles and I’m probably buying the collection anyway (since MWIV never got a US release), but in terms of marketing, that’s a huge fail.

    • Hugoku

Agh! What a bummer. I was so looking forward to try MWIV and Super Hang-on.
Who made this decision? Makes no sense.

  • ElektroDragon

I’ll wait for the inevitable boxed retail collection at reduced prices.

  • Ganon255

Both of these titles should have came out as a single package for $10.

How about on the Wii where they are $9 per game? (SHO, WBML, MWIV) And they will sell there. This is better.

  • t0o cRaZe3

too bad you cant try hang-on and shinobi in the trial

What in the world… oh man I forgot the original Alex Kidd box art was taken from somebody’s kindergarten fridge art.
It is a crying shame they don’t trust the franchise enough to bundle 3 of the Kidd games together. But having played all of them, they certainly picked the best game. Just the worst art. ;)

And technically Wii Virtual Console two weeks ago was the first time release of MWIV, but this is a much much better value for all these games, even if your Wii is hooked up.

  • MacUser1986

Weak trials, can’t play all three games. Sega has been doing this lately with their trial games.

  • Paulo Roberto L. S

At the same PS3 games are being sold for $ 4.99 each, which means that to buy a package with Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Super Hang-On, and The Revenge of Shinobi! it is costing U $ 14.97

Someone get Major off Twitter and tell him some demos were released. Do they just wake him up for the unimportant stuff?

    • Bradley

Watch it. Major takes negative comments & criticism very seriously. He’ll threaten to stop updating his blog full stop, If you carry on like that.

      • Russell Gorall

I’m not even sure if he does his own blog. He doesn’t post or update it for a few weeks, reads like MS press releases. He will probably post ten seconds after I write this so I think he isn’t a seven foot robot. Meh.

  • EndrzGame

I really wish that they had included Wonder Boy 3. That’s one of my all time favorite games. If WB3 was offered it’d be instabuy time.

  • Jim E. Rustler

You can select which region’s version to play. This means we’re FINALLY getting Bare Knuckle 3!

Okay so when Sega of America ported Streets of Rage 3 they’d butchered it from the original, making it worse than the original Japanese release in every way. The original release is up there with Streets or Rage 2. Trust me, when SoR Collection comes out next week switch SoR3 to Japanese. You won’t regret it.

Back on-topic, the Japanese version of Monster World on this collection is actually easier. Good luck reading anything though.

These games are way too expensive, all six games for $10 would be reasonable. Miracle World is awesome, no doubt.
