I think I might finally pull the trigger on Toy Soldiers: Cold War at half price. I really liked the original, but I’ve never gotten to playing the sequel.

  that way they wont be able to sell it later for another dotw. wow, microsoft have really surprised me in the last couple of years with below average deals MOST of the time. now while i have a ps3 which i use for playing blurays im not the type to get all angry and start yelling that im gonna leave my 360 and go to the ps3 for games ( or the wii u when it arrives) but i gotta say GODDAMN I CANT WAIT FOR THE WII U. Im not saying it will be better, but just the whole xbox360 feel has almost left me. sure i could put on any of the 8 cod games, 3 gow games, all the halo games and 102 xbla titles i have and get stuck into them and have an absolute blast while doing it, but some excitement has gone. now it makes me feel ill whenever i go back to dash for a whole number of reasons. having said that rest assured im gonna be all over black ops 2, halo 4 and gears judgement when they come out, but i think for the first time since i had my 360 that i feel i need another games machine. one that makes me excited when i turn it on. obviously in a certain way i cant even think about comparing the wii u with the 360,and im not, but if nintendo do something like release it at a fair price , provide 720p and 1080p 1st party games, and get their marketplace right, i guess ill be all over it as well.
  And just for the record for those that dont understand the above, i really, really do love my 360. cmon microsoft, tidy up ur act a little and give us gold members good deals every week, instead of just the jotw (joke of the week ).

I’m grabbing Toy Soldiers Cold War (if you like tower defense this one is amazing) and The Splatters (seems very fun!). Also I do recommend Hydro Thunder Hurricane if you like arcade racing games and some nostalgia

The deals from Might & Magic and Scott Pilgrim are cheap… I will take a look if they really deserve my MSpoints thou.

And Fallout 3 promotion AGAIN is just ridiculous when this game should get price dropped for ever when the GOTY including all DLCs can be found for less than US $ 19,00!

It is impossible that MS couldnt find anything else to put on a weekly promotion with so many games out there. Also with so many complains about the same subjects over and over (repeated promotions) I really wonder if we do have a Community Manager or if Major Nelson is just a big poser saying “Hey we really listen to you… we simply don’t care”

Now as we all know the next week promotion will be Red Dead Redemption (once again) them followed by COD maps (again) and them Fallout 3! How lucky we are!

I’m glad the marketing team have got it covered over there, in fact, give ‘em a raise. I’m sure they work hard. I mean it’s not like they just copy and paste is it? Lol, that’d be stupid, why would you pay people to do that? Nah, that’s not the MS I know. They actually work hard during their work week in order to seal us some top notch deals.       …despite of that, I find it’s a superb idea and a punch in the face to people saying MS never cares about the customer. Some people really needs to take care of how much exercise they do daily, some may need to achieve a certain goal but other might not trespass a limit due to their current health situation. This is a real issue certain people have so that hub may improve kinect funcionality in certain cases.

These deals of the week are making me question why I keep Gold, exclusive gold discounts they said.. I’d rather give my £5 a month to PS+

As a customer I feel like I’m being fobbed off just for my money. There’s no GAIN for me, just a fiver a month for what? Party chat? If I want to play online I’d use a PS3, it’s free. I’m not slamming Major Nelson, I’m saying those in charge of the ‘exclusive gold discounts’ suck. We get the same thing over and over, nothing for free, just regurgitated games which were outdated by 2010.

I don’t know if anyone here feels the same, but I really think Microsoft are decaying to a point where the customers that got them where they are in the console market have been long forgotten, stomped on by SOCIAL NETWORKING and ITS A FAMILY HUB jargon. Gold membership isn’t something worth having. I don’t want to sync a tablet to a kinect to a console to a phone, I want to play games.

Games, Microsoft. Games. When will you realise?

    The issue is that the premium Sony service (PS+) gets full retail games like Far Cry 2 and Infamous for no additional charge plus full game rentals. As Gold subscribers MS should be given us more at least what is on par with what their competitors are offering their members.     Every day it’s the same thing – people complaining that games (or anything for that matter) aren’t free or cheap. You have great games for $5 – $10 and people still complain. I’m sick of hearing it.
    
    People are so self involved and full of self entitlement. You want everything your way. Heck I’d like it too if everything were free or cheap. But it’s not.
    
    BTW, you might find this hard to believe but people want to get paid for their work. When you work, do people roll up on you and say, “hey, I think you should do your job for half the amount,” – probably not. You’d lose it.
    
    I repeat to the same complainers, if you don’t like a service don’t pay for it. No one is forcing you to buy it. It clearly lists what you are paying for, so if you expect something else you’re not being realistic. Cancel it. That’s what I do. That’s the way to make a real statement.

  I own a PS3 and an Xbox 360, and let me tell you: it’s worth it for Gold, though I’ll stipulate: IF you find memberships cheaper. I never pay more than $30 a year for Gold, and thanks to sharing a family pack with 4 people, which I can renew easily via these cheap gold cards, and split the cost with those people, I really don’t pay more than $10-15 a year. It’s well worth it.
  
  But with that said, I DO believe that Sony is doing something right by giving gamers free access to full titles while they’re PS+ members, and I believe Microsoft should start offering some similar incentives.

Too bad it doesn’t come with the amazing original GOTY edition stuff like a comprehensible booklet guide. Quantum Conundrum at 1200 MSP isn’t much of a surprise since the PC version on Steam is $14.99. That said, I’m not entirely sure it’s worth that much. Anyone who has played Portal 1 and 2, especially the challenge maps in Portal 1 and Portal 1: Still Alive, will blow through the game – for obvious reasons. The art style is different, but the puzzles are pretty much the same. The biggest difference is we exchange Ellen McLain’s GLaDOS snark for John de Lancie’s Professor Quadwrangle snark.

You know, Games on Demand would be a great avenue for bringing games across from regions where publishing at retail might not have been financially viable. You already did that with DEATHSMILES 2X

I know I wouldn’t say no to Otomedius Excellent releasing in EMEA. Or Raiden Fighters Aces (which almost did). Or Raiden IV. Or Deathsmiles 2X. Or Virtual-On whatever the retail one’s called.

Whhy not release Fallout: New Vegas DLC’s at half the price? Fallout 3 with ALL DLC’s (Collector’s Edition) sells for USD16 in the shops, so what’s the point? I’m so tired of the studios thinking gamers are stupid!
