Had the demo from Dragon Dogma, it was okay fromw hat i played it didnt feel like other Res games but ive already paid for the pre order so guess im getting it

    • Hugoku

This is supposed to be a different demo though.

      • Lee Rayson

Wont make much difference, graphics game play will be the same, if it is different all id be doing is knowing more of the story without the full game

  • Frank Wienziers

    Not in Germany Major???

    • ElektroDragon

Blame your government for being scared of a little violence and blood.

  • Residentsteve

Great demo re has changed a lot, I keep forgetting that you can move and shoot.

  • BostonSup

Good to see. I know RE:ORC were made by different developers and was a different type of game within the RE universe, but even still I wanted to try this demo before I bought it. RE (the core games) changed a lot over the years, and not always for the best, so I am glad to demo it before buying.

There’s only one thing better than killing Chinese…. and that’s killing Chinese zombies

    Ohhhh yeahhhhh

    • Martin van den Broek

That’s one of the most racist comment I’ve read in a long time…

      • Russell Gorall

You think it is racist because he is Asian? THAT is extremely racist.

  • achmetha

I’ve never been a Resident Evil Super Fan myself, but I played the demo as Leon and I found it to be a lot of fun.

  • Colin Powers

Just a tip, don’t just try the Leon campaign. The others play very differently, they weren’t to my taste at all.

    • BostonSup

I played just Leon and Chris so far and you are right, the difference between the two are huge. Almost different genres in fact. Im still on the fence about this game. It comes down to how long each character’s story is, if it is 2 hours each, not worth it for me.

  • Din Taylor

This game just doesn’t do it for me and I know this demo is different that the Dragon’s Dogma one. Its a renter for me that’s for sure.

  • Z4M0

Call Blade, Vamps are back in town!

oh wait… those desintegrating gangstas were zombies…

  • Russell Gorall

I played in the Leon as Helena, or something?, and had some major problems aiming. As in, why am I using that stick to move my character around and the other to aim when I was just doing the opposite.

The character models look great, though, I will give them that. Just seemed a bit silly running around in the dark in such an action orientated title, if they want to do an action game just turn the lights up and put some decent control scheme in. Might help if I go into Resident Evil Control Mode in my gaming, can’t do that just to play a demo.

  • Socal71

I played as Leon too and liked the game play. It has it’s issues, I thought it took way too many head shots to kill the zombies and the aiming was a little off. More recent non RE games don’t require so many shots to the head before it blows off. I don’t think it will be a first day purchase @ $60.00 that much I know. I never played RE 5 except the demo. So my last go through was RE 4 on the Wii which to me seemed like more of a leap visually than this. I know it’s only a demo, but the graphics were kind of last generation looking. Very bland textures and the characters aren’t up to today’s standards.

I’ll wait for the review and in the meantime I was thinking of getting RE 4 & 5 On Demand or via Amazon. Is RE5 worth it?

    • The Dukenator

RE5 does have a demo last I checked, but I think many were against the game. Don’t recall what though, but I remember never finishing the game.

    • BostonSup

RE5 became an action game and not a survival game and that was a main complaint of it. RE4 was the transitional game, and RE0-RE:CVX were the horror/survival games that old schoolers wanted so badly.

RE6 has all three aspects, Leon (Horror/Survival), Jake (Little Horror/Survival and a little Action/Adventure), and Chris (pure Action/Adventure).

If you are not a die hard fan of the original RE games and liked RE4, then you might like RE5.
RE5 does not have zombies or atmosphere, so it is just a standard action game set within the Resident Evil universe. It isn’t a bad game, but they moved to an entirely different genre, but kept the original tank controls. Capcom couldn’t keep old fans because of the shift and couldn’t bring in new fans because of the controls. At least that is what it seems like to me.

anyone else having issues downloading this demo? tried to download through my system and it wont let me. then i went to the xbox site and tried to download it by forwarding it to my system through the site. that gave me a glitch messege.

  • Rick Payne

Gold members only. Seems like the stupidest move a developer could make. A demo is supposed to drive sales. Now what’s the point in narrowing your audience and therefore narrowing your sales?
