    「including: “Halo 4,” “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,”」,that’s order of X360 sales?i mean…is Halo 4 outsold BO2(360 version)?

    • Tylerh1701

I’m not sure what Major meant with that last bullet, but here’s the top 10 selling games from last month, in order:

Call of Duty: Black Ops II (360, PS3, PC, Wii U)**

      Halo 4 (360)**

      Assassin’s Creed III (360, PS3, Wii U, PC)**

      Just Dance 4 (Wii, 360, Wii U, PS3)

      Madden NFL 13 (360, PS3, Wii, PSV, Wii U)

      Skylander Giants (Wii, 360, PS3, 3DS, Wii U)**

Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2012 (PS3, 360, PSV, PC)

      NBA 2K13 (360, PS3, Wii, PSP, Wii U, PC)**

      WWE 13 (360, PS3, Wii)

      FIFA Soccer 13 (360, PS3, Wii, PSV, 3DS, Wii U, PSP)

There’s no way to know if Halo 4 outsold Black Ops 2 on the 360.

      • N2O

        That’s why i said BO2(360 version),because BO2 360+PS3 100% sure>Halo 4

Humm are teh numbers tilt in the favor of xbox to make them look good? last time i checked some of those games are also sold on PS3 so the real question is WICH GAME SOLD MORE GAMES OF THE SAME TITLE??? not wich brand sold more consoles

      • srarian7

more important that wich sold more is wich games is being played more becuase I can buy a game because I think its gona be good but then realize its not and keep playing my old games…. Play time > game sold

      • Adam Thompson

It’s just sad that all of them are sequels, no new IPs – unfortunately they are less likely to sell as well.

      • Karl Cramer

I miss when the NPDs broke it down by title and platform. Thanks, Sony! (< scarcasm for the sarcasm impaired.)

        • Tylerh1701

I agree, it was far more useful when they did that.

Well done – Xbox really is the jewel in MS crown… Shame all other departments aren’t as successful as you!

    • aStrangeDisease

You know that nearly every PC in the world uses Windows, right?

  • Willy McBurgle

..and a partridge in a pear tree – but only for Gold subscribers

  • Kyle Austin

See that’s y Xbox 360 is better then play station 3 at lease Xbox don’t get hacked almost 24/7 like pay station 3 lol

    • Willy McBurgle

ironic that you call the PS3 a ‘Pay Station’ – deeply ironic

      • Rich Unsworth

he just miss-spelled it – he spelled it right at the beginning of the sentence :)

        • Willy McBurgle

considering ‘PlayStation’ ™ is one word – no he didn’t ;)

    • Curtis Isabell

it’s funny because the xbox has been hacked a few times now, funny no one remembers the first/second year 360 was out and live was down xmas till like feb.

      • Major Nelson

I believe you are referring to the Christmas of 2007 when we had a rough month (late November to Late December.) That was as a result of back end issues. It had nothing to do with the service being hacked or any type of malicious activity.
Also, LIVE was not down until February. That was a one time issue that we consider unfortunate.
Let me recap: That was one major outage. As as result of internal issues.

Millions and millions of RROD + DVD failures = new consoles

  • Promethean Knight

ya all that friggin money and you cant even make gold cheaper….

    • Karl Cramer

Plenty of sales if you keep your eyes open. Newegg was just selling 1-years for $40.

      • Curtis Isabell

PSN is free, or you can pay $50 and get free games for a year… yep I know which one is better.

        • QuixoticRocket

The one that didn’t release my credit card details in a giant hack on their network?

          • fantomena

You do know everything can be hacked, right?

          • QuixoticRocket

Yeah, but only one has been so far.
I’ll reevaluate when the other one is too, but until then…

          • Curtis Isabell

you are a complete idiot if you think the xbox network wasn’t hacked before, it was hacked like the year 360 released, the media just never made a big deal out of it.

          • QuixoticRocket

Interesting. Got a link for that?
Was the hack as bad as the PS hack? did they get right down to the payment details?
Also: PSN did have my creditcard details when they got hacked. Xbox hasn’t been hacked (afaik) since it’s had my details. That makes me a bit biased I’ll freely admit.

          • fantomena

The Xbox 360 was hacked just months before it was released so people could play pirated games on it.

          • QuixoticRocket

That’s not the network though is it?

    • fsdfg dsfds

Next gen if they still charging for online play im gone

  • Yi Xu

Still waiting for the stat on XBLA DLC sales. I wonder what those wonderful Deal of the Week, Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales were. :)
