        Your comments are abrasive and without reason. the DEDICATED fans who support Halo who spent the extra money to get the map packs have to wait while the late bloomers and the people that weren’t on the ball are playing the maps we planned on playing in the first place. Why should we be penilized for paying early (with the reward of a 33% discount)? I’m not saying we should get it early but we should get it ON THE DAY and the time that it was announced. Your sad sob story of “I payed full price” is lame and without merit but since you are on the internet you can act all tough. The point it, people who reserved their copy, stood in line for the midnight release, people who played Halo for the last 10 years are not getting what was promised.         What does standing in line at midnight on release or playing halo for the last 10 years have to do with DL a map pack. Who knows maybe they had an issue with the season pass making the map pack sync with it saying you already paid sometimes there is issues with passes you and everyone else will get it today. I don’t see why someone who played for 10 years is more important than someone who bought it today and didn’t have issues.

if you have the LE or map pass you dont have access to this yet. for some reason if you paid in advance you´ll have to wait.. never buying a map pass or LE whit map pass again.. this “you have to wait” thing is just stupid..

Are you aware that everyone that got the map pack are still unable to even get the maps? While everyone that didn’t “preorder” are doing just fine. This is like punishing the people that gave them money sooner. It’s not done on purpose, but they do have the right to be annoyed. I woke up early to try and get the maps and for naught. It’s a bummer.

      Is this not the same thing as always with it rolling out slowly across regions? Whenever they say “X is out now” half the people respond that they can’t get it until a few hours pass and it’s rolled out to everyone.
      Also: people could be a little more eloquent explaining the situation. It’s not like there’s a short character limit here.

  Clear system cache
  run Halo 4 and there will be a star next to the ‘Marketplace’ option.
  Hit that and it will bring up the map pack SORTED!?!?!

I understand issues arise, but why don’t you learn from previous mistakes? Why is there constantly issues with season passes.

Why can’t you learn from previous issues, for example GOW3 Season Pass and fix the issues that arose then so they didn’t happen this time.

i think people who bought the limited edition or war games pass for 2000 msp should have been able to download the map packs already. I bought the map pack for 2000 and the only way i can play the map pack now is if i pay another 800 msp points. i was on customer support for 2 hrs. i asked if i could buy the 800 msp crimson map pack and then can i get a refund for the 800 just so i can play it now and not have to wait until my war pass code lets me play it. either way they did not give me 800 msp. i have been a member for over 8 years, the samne thing happened with battlefield 3 premium, i bought the 50 dollar permium pass and the first day the first map pack came out it said i have to pay 1200 msp for it. and i bought it, so i paid for it twice,

anyways, my friend just recovered my account and bought the 800 crimson map pack even though i already have the war games pass for 2000. i did this because i have over 3000 msp and he doesnt have any, and if he recovers my account on his xbox he gets the license on his xbox so every account on his xbox can play the maps, and when i re-recover my account i can still play the maps.

If you got the map pass you should have access to it the same time as everyone else, it’s not fair that the people who gave Microsoft and 343 their money early don’t get the maps just because they got a discount. That makes no sense whatsoever, if anything map pass owners should get it first because they were the ones to give their money with nothing in return at the time.

Since this “Season Pass” practice in the gaming biz took off, DLC packs never work well for Season Pass holders on the first go around. I’ve had this same experience across multiple games and platforms. Not really a shock.

You don’t have to pay. Season pass owners will get a free download once they work the bugs out.

The problem is that the season pass download isn’t happening at the moment. Don’t buy it if you own the season pass. You’ll get it free soon.

I am a bystander that paid for the season pass. At first, I was just confused on why I couldn’t play the maps as I’m new to the pass thing. But reading your comments I understand. There are bugs with everything technological when it comes out.. how you handle it can decide how your day or experience goes.. I think I’ll just go play the game. Because that’s better than getting on a soap box about how terrible everything is…

Hey guys, apparently we’re supposed to be able to download the map packs from within the game’s Xbox Live marketplace. But for some reason the map pack didn’t load to the in game marketplace. Microsoft said they are addressing the issue. but as far as I can tell, and I’m from the east coast USA.. it’s still unavailable for pass holders. I pre-ordered the LE version so I’m a pass holder. Still nothing…

This is extremely unfair. People spend their money ahead of time so we can get the maps as soon as they come out, not to be the only people who can’t access the DLC. And on top of not being able to access the maps, they are taking their sweet time to fix the issue (8 hours later). This is the last time I am ever spending my money on a season pass or anything type of deal that is similar. Great job 343/Xbox, you yet again find ways to screw over the people who put their hard earned money into your corporations. Way to take over the Halo brand in style.

ReDL your Map Pass, and then clear your system cache, when you run Halo 4 there will be a star on ‘xbox maketplace’
Click on that and it will bring up crimson for nothing IF you have the map pass

1st redownload the season pass.
2nd clear system cache
3rd start halo 4 back up
5th should be a star next to Xbox live marketplace
6th download the maps
