            Look into the indie title “Hidden in Plain Sight”. It’s one of the best local multiplayer games I’ve played this year. You’ll have a blast playing with with your son or friends.

            it’s actually one of the easiest forza games to jump into, the sorta open world is fun to drive around in too, worst case scenario he can trade it in, in fact bestbuy and gamestop right now have trade in value above $15, so i would advise giving him the gift early, if he hates it trade in and get $20~$35 credit.

      I love the Forza series, but I found Horizon to have an awful short singleplayer and extremely annoying pop story.

        how is the multiplayer though? i love forza series, but for me the circuit racing stuff is kinda getting old, played the demo and impressed by the change of scenery.
        it is weird how Forza 4 is higher than Horizon considering that it is just been released.
        is the multiplayer that bad?

      Average multiplayer games, like Brink and Gears 3, aren’t going to have a long shelf life, no matter how much Microsoft pushes them.

        They did it during November, as part of Xbox Live Rewards. They were giving out points based on number of hours played (you had to play A LOT to get any).

      even with the free points I couldn’t do it, halo 4 is better then ODST but other then that the worst halo game ever to ever disgrace the series. I sincerely hope they either make a whole new halo game in a different genre and style to try and bring back the series to something people care about. halo 1 and 2 were amazing and loved by all, everything since has been mediocre.

      halo wars was a good push into another genre it is the best RTS on consoles, They should have a halo game that is bigger, and you play as a soldier instead of a super soldier. make it more like battlefield with halo content. the 2 teams would be different but balanced, covenant players would have to start small with grunts and use point they earn throughout the match to use bigger covenant. humans could upgrade weapons, and have better vehicles they can purchase

        I agree, Halo 4 was a real step down from the Halo series, It doesn’t feel like Halo anymore. Won’t be picking up 5 or 6, heck I didn’t plan on getting Halo 4, it was only when I found out I would be getting it for £3 that I even considered it.

          same, I got a $20 gift card with mine from best buy, an since the trade in value was $40 I figured couldn’t hurt to play it for pretty much free, it is worse then black ops 2, farcry 3 is so much better then both though

      i agree with curtis. loved all the halos myself but 4 is just flat out meh, turned it on last night for the first time since launch week could only play 3 rounds and was bored of it.

      its CoD with a halo skin over it. battlefield 3 is the best online shooter on consoles but it must be too hard for the CoD/halo heads. still good to see its hanging around at number 8.the average online on bf3 peak time is 50,000 and halo 4 is about 120’000 incase anyone wanted some sort of numbers for these lists

          i never said it was “fun” i said it is the best online shooter on consoles, which it is. no other fps comes close to it, just the sound alone in bf3 proves my point.

        there is a difference between diversifying and ignoring. remove halo, gears, forza, and fable and you have 0 exclusives on 360 worth mentioning you can also argue easily that fable sucks and forza gets boring. they need new high end IPs which should have been easy since they own Rare.

          Rare unfortunately was not the same since leaving Nintendo. I wished MS got BioWare and had the ME series locked down for them along with their other projects like Dragon Age. MS picked up a studio that was going down and gave up on a studio that still has many great games.

    GTA4 was, and still is, absolutely phenomenal. Until GTAV comes along, I will still consider it to be the best game I have ever played. The game attracted a massive amount of attention and playability from gamers – just not as much as San Andreas.

    So far, I have been very disappointed with SmartGlass. I really do not see any purpose or use for it. Yes, it is great that I can use my phone or PC as a remote for my Xbox and learn more about characters in videos and plays in sports but I want more. I think SmartGlass should offer an Apple AirPlay and Intel Widi like feature. Yes, I know that with DLNA I can access my media on my PC from my Xbox. But that takes a lot of step. For one, I have to access the content from the Xbox not my PC. I should be able to click on the content directly from my PC and it will just play on my Xbox. Second, I should be able to mirror my PC screen on my Xbox. But not only PC but with phones. You should be able to mirror your phone screen and stream content from your phone to your Xbox. Come on Microsoft, be creative.

    Hey Major Nelson! Is there or will there ever be a way to see live feeds of how many people are on a specific game? I mean, its obvious people are playing COD games, but for games like Ghost Recon Future Perfect or older games like Battlefield 2, it would be nice to see a graph or something of activity per game so I don’t have to sit in a game lobby for 4hrs waiting for someone else to play. At the very least for now, can you expand your Top 10 Xbox Live list to top 50 or 100? There’s a ton of games out there that millions of people are playing. You can’t expect us all to fall into line playing only the top 10 cause that’s all that you’ll show us.
