      Yah if you can afford to buy a laptop every year. Mine is a year and a half and I paid about that for it. Acer Aspire 4gb ram p6000 processor with a dated integrated graphics chip. Definitly isn’t goning to run Skyrim.

    point is, some of the stuff is over priced, this just in, if you saved $20 on 10 game purchases you saved $200, then assuming you payed for gold membership for 5 years, that is another $300 bought a 250gb xbox hard drive to upgrade your small 4gb or 20gb one? another $100. oh yea, the console itself, giving you the benefit of the doubt, $200.
    
    the skyrim+ dlc prices on the marketplace aren’t bad, but oblivion DLC should be $1 at this point in time, you can get the GOTY edition in store for about $20, and you can reuse the disks!

  What does steam’s prices have to do with xbox 360s prices nothing. Not everyone likes to play games on their pc. I for one don’t never had a good experience with it. I know their are arguments that you can use a controller well if that’s so why don’t i just stick with my xbox makes more sense.

  A laptop can’t run Skryim correctly at 60 FPS. Sure, you may can turn off AA, run the game at 1024×768 and get playable frames. IMO, if you’re going to play Skyrim on the PC you need a 2GB graphics card, ATI 6950/7950, this is so you can use the 4k texture packs. Bare minimum you need to run the game on Ultra High settings at 1920×1080, with no mods, is 4GB RAM, fast quad core “i5 or AMD overclocked”, and a 6850/560 ti graphics card.

  I’d agree Dawnguard is/was overpriced, and possibly Dragonborn as well. However, I also feel Dragonborn is FAR more worth it for the price than Dawnguard was.
  
  Fair bit of content in it. I finished up the achievements for it the other week – one of the last achievements I got was for exploring 30 places on the map. I still seem to have a number of places coming up on the compass I haven’t explored yet, as well as unfinished quests.

    I presume the different language versions only include that one language, to reduce the file size – no idea if there’s any compatibility issues running a French file on a console/game set to English…

  for those that don’t know, the GOTY edition of oblivion has all the DLC on a disk, you put it in and install it, you can share with all your friends as well. also, the GOTY edition disk has some mild changes and bug fixes that iirc are not available to the normal disk. Oblivion GOTY was one of the best games I ever played and anyone who likes skyrim and can handle the lesser graphics should buy it.

I say potentially because the last time something like this happened, I had purchased some Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit DLC day one, but the price was 800 MSP by mistake instead of 560 or whatever it was supposed to be at the time. They auto-refunded me the overpaid amount weeks later. Won’t assume that happens again though.

Dragonborn is still 1600 points. That’s 35USD for an EXTENSION of a great game! I sold my copy of Fallout: New Vegas, and bought the Collectors Edition (with ALL DLC’s) for the same price as I got for the standard game DVD. -How stupid can you get, as they sing in the movie “Top secret”? And I’m referring to Bethesda&Microsoft collaboration…. TIME TO LOWER ALL PRICES BY A ZERO. I bet you’d sell thirty times more content with a tenfold rediction. Do the math, please.

    Nope, that’s IF you have a credit card. Not everyone have, or want as credit card these days. If you buy scratch cards, these are the directly converted prices from norwegian NOK to USD. That’s what bothers me, Microsoft set up a cooperation with Paypal. Yeah, I thought, and tried to register, as I’m an active user of Paypal.. But even then Microsoft had to have my credit details! I thought the point with Paypal is that one shouldn’t neeed any?

Well, I won’t buy into the Skyrim deal as I prefer Elder Scrolls games on PC but I wanted to say that overall this has been a great sale. I picked up nine Arcade games, three Games on Demand plus the entire Walking Dead series. Well done, Microsoft!

      The items in the end-of-year sale are discounted in advance of when Larry announces them (half a day or so I think?).
      From what I can gather (from people’s complaints), when Dawnguard went up for sale yesterday it was incorrectly discounted (at 1200 points). Since been corrected.

  Oblivion’s trade on value is about $4. With cheap points via eBay, I spent about $14 on the game and both dlc. And happy not to deal with a disc.

    And I bought Fallout : New Vegas Collector’s Edition (With ALL DLC’s) for around 36USD NEW! If I had bought the DLC’s, it would cost me 5×800=4 000 points+the game (90USD for DLC’s + game DVD at 44USD, a total of 134 US dollars! A hundred and thirty four! Tha’s pure crazy, Bethesda, Microsoft! So I paid around 9USD for thee DVD-version (so I can save HDD-space which apparently is very expensive when buying GoD) (Irony). The problem is, not anyone can get these deals (Collector’s edition on DVD) etc, and Bethesda/MS shouldn’t capitalize that much on it, in my mind. Then it get’s too unfair. Equal deals to equal people….. Happy new year!

Thanks for the great GoD deal on Skyrim! Sure, people could wait months from now for a cheaper all-inclusive GotY edition, but for those of us like me looking to play it now, this is the best deal on the 360 version right now. Even Amazon and the big box stores like GameStop and Best Buy don’t have it on sale for any less than $40 now (missed out on the Black Friday deals). Here’s to more great GoD deals in 2013!
