Today we are announcing the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller. I did a quick video (above) that shows a few of the features and laser etched details. I also posted more photos on my Flickr page as well.  The controller will be priced at US $59.99 (MSRP, check your local retailer for pricing) and be available world-wide when the game launches in March. Here is the official press release:

Experience Lara Croft’s First Adventure with the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDERLimited Edition Wireless Controller

At the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas today, Microsoft, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix unveiled the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDERLimited Edition Wireless Controller – the perfect commemorative companion marking Lara Croft’s return to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Developed in collaboration with artists at Crystal Dynamics, the design of the controller features a two-layer color finish with laser etching to create a realistic and tactile worn appearance inspired by Lara’s iconic climbing axe and the tourniquets that result from the adventure in her intense origin story, as told in this latest title. The controller also features a customizable D-pad that switches from a “plus” design to a “disc” pattern for better control, and a wireless range of up to 30-feet that allows for more freedom in your home environment as you explore and play the game.

In addition, those who purchase the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller will receive a download token for an Xbox 360 exclusive playable TOMB RAIDER character. The controller will be available timed to the launch of the game worldwide and is priced at $59.99 (U.S. ERP).

Tomb Raider Underworld is by far my favorite. This game put a Tomb Raider to a new level with the stunts they included for the xbox 360.

  • http://twitter.com/xDeadGhostx Miguel Vallés Susín

My favorite Tomb Raider is ‘The Last Revelation’. It had a perfect balance between action, adventure and exploration, and its graphics were the best back in he day. Plus, it had a compelling storyline that kept me completely hooked on it.

First Tomb Raider game I played was Tomb Raider Chronicles on my beloved Dreamcast. I fell in love with Lara Croft instantly and played that game several times.

  • http://twitter.com/stevieon3 Steven

The Angel of Darkness because it introduced stealth elements in the franchise for the very first time. Enjoyed every little bit of it.

  • Goosinurwife

i liked all the tomb raider games i even watched the movie but i forgot it now they were all great

  • http://twitter.com/ninjarturtle Jeremy

The original Tomb Raider game was my favorite game in the series. It’s what started my love and appreciation for the series and Lara Croft.

  • http://twitter.com/niklas_arnell Niklas Arnell

My favorite will be this new start of TOMB RAIDER. I have played the first hours of the game and it’s incredible. Think “Batman Begins” and what it did to the Batman franchise. This is Lara Croft re-born!

Honestly i love all the tomb raider games. Always been one of my favorite series. So i’ll just say the first one is my favorite, i remember me and my dad working together and taking turns solving all the puzzles.

  • JalenJade

Well Guardians of Light is the only one I’ve played…

  • http://twitter.com/MVGPedro MVG Pedro

My favourite Tomb Raider has to be the first one on the PS1 as it was the first game of it’s type I had ever played, for me it was hard but I finished it in the end. I then went on to get the other PS1 Tomb Raider games. Can’t wait for the release of the new one in March

  • LDawgNL

Tomb Raider II, it’s where it started for me. Still afraid of the butler :P

  • Daryl Huhn

Tomb Raider: Guardians of Light. I love cooperative games, and while it wasn’t a traditional tomb raider game per say, it was awesome.

  • Luke dolan

Tomb Raider – Legend….was the game that got my son into xbox, problem is i now cant get him off it and have been sidelined!! @dolalu

  • http://twitter.com/FrogDawg Shane Keogh

The first Tomb Raider was the best simply because of what it gave to the male gamer that had been lacking for so long, a 3D third person shooter with a female protagonist that was a joy to play and easy on the eye, the game that launched a 100 million dreams :D

    @FrogDawg

  • Juan

The first Tomb Raider because it introduced me to the franchise! twitter: @dodgerss27

  • http://twitter.com/jay_zahn Jay Zahn

The original Tomb Raider. Because that and Resident Evil are what drew me back into loving video games.

  • http://twitter.com/marioskar Marios Karagiannis

For me, it has to be Legend. I think they nailed this one.

  • http://twitter.com/hoodoo Roger Davis

The very first Tomb Raider is by far my favorite. Partly because my wife would sit and watch me play. It was a game we enjoyed together.

  • InCaudaVenenumz

My favorite is Tomb Raider: Underworld. Since I barely remember playing the original on my cousins console when I was younger. Underworld was fun though I am expecting much more from this reboot! Thanks, major.

  • Austin

Definitely the original. I mean come on there were raptors, need I say more?

  • http://twitter.com/SimonvanderPol Simon van der Pol

The best one was the first Tomb Raider, I’d never played this type of game before and was astonished.

  • Daniel_ThePinfall

The first Tomb Raider is still the best in my opinion. As it was so new and, for it’s time, looked amazing. The depth of play was also superior to any of the follow ups in that the levels were varied and there was a good balance between puzzles (most of which were original) and action.

  • http://twitter.com/BensLazy Ben Edwards

The original for me, it made me soil myself on a number of occasions. -_-

  • http://twitter.com/baboy1337 Győző Baki

Tomb Raider 3 I think. Huge, surprising, scary, difficult, had some of the best level design in any Tomb Raider. The boss fights were hardcore, but it was a truly impressive game.

  • http://twitter.com/Libara David S

Has to be Tomb Raider II, the first one I played round a friends house. Spent many hours there on that damnable Tibet level :D.

  • http://www.facebook.com/TweakX Tim Rutten

I’ve been playing the Tomb Raider series since the ps one. I have to say that my favorite game isnt just one game for the three newest games by Crystal Dynamics. I liked the over all story of the newer trilogy and the Norse mythology tie in

  • http://twitter.com/sergio_r92 Sergio Rosanova

Tomb Raider IV: one of the longest and most difficult Tomb Raider ever, with egyptian’s puzzles, playable jeep and bike with the side-car!

  • http://twitter.com/bob74online Robert Labrum

Original Tomb Raider. The first time I’d ever played something with that level of exploration and sense of discovery. Fondest memories I have of the series.

  • http://www.facebook.com/randy.schouten.1 Randy Schouten

    That’d be Tomb Raider: Legend.

I love the diversity in environments, both indoors and outdoors, modern and old. Puzzles and action were very nicely mixed together. Overall the game has a very nice phasing to it.

  • http://twitter.com/wayens Wayne Sung

Tomb Raider Legend for me. It has a fluidity I haven’t seen in a Tomb Raider since. Loads of action yet levels are still small enough to hold manageable time trials. One of the few games in my library I would gladly replay.

  • Alistair Cowan

The first Tomb raider, because Tyrannosaurus Rex

  • http://www.facebook.com/alessio.giorgetti.7 Alessio Giorgetti

Tomb Raider 1. Totally mind-blowing back in the day

  • http://twitter.com/MonsterMag David Sojka

Tomb Raider: Legend is my favorite game. I was my first time playing a TR game, and the exploration and combat was fun.

  • http://www.facebook.com/watagatapitsusberry Tony Tone

Major Nelson is such a love able guy. Anyways this controller is sick!

  • http://twitter.com/JDQuackers Jimmy Matthews

I’d say Tomb Raider III, as running around the mansion and trying to stay away from the butler was just too addicting.

  • http://www.facebook.com/PrInCeOfPeInAr Moises Rivera

I really liked Tomb Raider Anniversary. They remade the original game very well and I enjoyed it very much.

  • http://twitter.com/JohnKTBD John

Has to be Tomb Raider II. Many hours spent locking Winston in that freezer. :)

  • Joe Davis

Tough one, but if I was to decide it’ll have to be Tomb Raider II, it was the first title I played on my first owned PC, and it looked incredible back then! A close second has to be TR Anniversary on the 360, a great come-back for the series; and now looking forward to the reboot once more!

  • http://twitter.com/sk1z0fr3n1k sk1z0fr3n1k

I’m pretty sure nothing beats the T-Rex in the original Tomb Raider. That’s my favourite!

  • Pebertli Barata

    @pebertli
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, because i love top-view games.

  • http://www.facebook.com/mark.raynsford.3 Mark Raynsford

Have to agree, loved all the Tomb Raider games, extremely hyped for the new one (already pre-ordered the deluxe tinned package) but my favorite has to be the first one on Playstation 1, as people say the T-Rex is one of the most memorable moments in gaming, trying to take that thing down with pistols and a shotgun was one of my favorite memories.

  • http://twitter.com/SEV2Junkie Renee Irish

Definitely the original…it was Lauras coming out party of adventures to come and truly defined who Laura Croft was and forever was going to be

  • http://www.facebook.com/diogo.soares.123829 Diogo Soares

Tomb Raider Atlantean Scion, first time I saw those piramids on Lara’s chest I was sold and have played almost every game since.

  • http://www.facebook.com/andres.criado.90 Andres Criado

The first Tomb Raider because it introduced me to the franchise! twitter: @Torpedo36

  • http://twitter.com/JulianRagnus Julian Ragnus

Guardian of Light. Even if it is not a TombRaider in its classic way – but i had a lot of fun playing it in Coop, and collecting all challenges.

  • http://twitter.com/gamer_x81 Jonathan Quezada

the original still rules them all.

  • http://twitter.com/rikimini Richard Kimini

@rikimini Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, because looks realy nice!

  • http://edgargarcia.com Edgar Garcia

Tomb Raider 2’s controls were smooth. I’d go with 2.

  • Malik Abuelaileh

The original tomb raider. It was new and having a female character with her “features” was what everyone wanted to try out!

  • http://www.facebook.com/petar.todorovic Petar Todorovic

Tomb Raider the 10th Anniversary Edition seeing Crystal’s upgrade of the legend oh the nostalgia watching Lara come to life on XBOX and never forgetting the T-Rex face-off.
