Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller + how to win one

Today we are announcing the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller. I did a quick video (above) that shows a few of the features and laser etched details. I also posted more photos on my Flickr page as well.  The controller will be priced at US $59.99 (MSRP, check your local retailer for pricing) and be available world-wide when the game launches in March. At the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas today, Microsoft, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix unveiled the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER™ Limited Edition Wireless Controller – the perfect commemorative companion marking Lara Croft’s return to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Developed in collaboration with artists at Crystal Dynamics, the design of the controller features a two-layer color finish with laser etching to create a realistic and tactile worn appearance inspired by Lara’s iconic climbing axe and the tourniquets that result from the adventure in her intense origin story, as told in this latest title. The controller also features a customizable D-pad that switches from a “plus” design to a “disc” pattern for better control, and a wireless range of up to 30-feet that allows for more freedom in your home environment as you explore and play the game.

In addition, those who purchase the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller will receive a download token for an Xbox 360 exclusive playable TOMB RAIDER character. The controller will be available timed to the launch of the game worldwide and is priced at $59.99 (U.S. ERP).

    My favorite Tomb Raider game would have been ‘Chronicles’. That’s when I was first introduced to the series & I would play while I was stationed in Germany. It was one of the few games my wife didn’t mind watching me play & we would figure out the puzzles together.

    I have fond memories of Tomb Raider 2 when I was much younger. I thought the game was confusing and hard to control at first but once I got the hang of it I was cartwheeling and flipping and dispatching enemies with ease. I really wonder what the new Tomb Raider has to offer.

    Tomb Raider 1, because I first had it on the Sega Saturn, and just remember the graphics not being so bad at the time! I’ve owned it for nearly 20 years and only just finished it recently, so that’s some staying power. :) It’s funny how you can have so much fun just on the house level. Shame theres no butler to lock in the fridge on TR1.

      hiya. umm yeah. dont mean to burst your bubble, but tomb raider 1 is NOT part of the indiana jones series. TR and indiana jones games are 2 separate series. TR has a woman called lara croft and indiana jones games have himself in them. there you go. thank you

    Tomb Raider III was my favorite TR game. It came out at a time where I had so many games to play yet it was that game that took away most of my attention. I have a lot of neglected homework to blame on that game…

    It is extremely difficult to choose just a single game, but I guess for me the best “Tomb Raider” game was “Tomb Raider Anniversary.” Not only because of its graphics, variety of locations and gameplay, but also for all the good moments that this game made me remember. It brought my chilhood back, it made me recall all those days that I spent in front of my PC playing the original game, how I got stuck in certain stages and all the chanlenges that I was able to overcome. That is why, for me, this game was and still is priceless.

    My favorite game in Tomb raider series is Tomb Raider : Angle of Darkness as it was my very first game on PlayStation 2 and had an RPG element in it i.e we can choose the conversation.

    My favorite Tomb Raider game was probably the very first one. At the time it was unlike any other game I had ever seen. For the time, the graphics were awesome, and walking into a giant wide open tomb for the first time is a memory I will never forget in gaming.

    The original Tomb Raider. I had it for the Sega Saturn and it was the only game I owned. I had no clue to pull the plastic tab for the battery and because of that I was never able to save my game. I played that game so much that I was able to beat it in one sitting in a few hours. I finally called Sega to ask why I wasn’t able to save and they told me to pull the plastic tab. I felt like an idiot.
