Today we are announcing the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller. I did a quick video (above) that shows a few of the features and laser etched details. I also posted more photos on my Flickr page as well.  The controller will be priced at US $59.99 (MSRP, check your local retailer for pricing) and be available world-wide when the game launches in March. Here is the official press release:

Experience Lara Croft’s First Adventure with the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDERLimited Edition Wireless Controller

At the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas today, Microsoft, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix unveiled the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDERLimited Edition Wireless Controller – the perfect commemorative companion marking Lara Croft’s return to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Developed in collaboration with artists at Crystal Dynamics, the design of the controller features a two-layer color finish with laser etching to create a realistic and tactile worn appearance inspired by Lara’s iconic climbing axe and the tourniquets that result from the adventure in her intense origin story, as told in this latest title. The controller also features a customizable D-pad that switches from a “plus” design to a “disc” pattern for better control, and a wireless range of up to 30-feet that allows for more freedom in your home environment as you explore and play the game.

In addition, those who purchase the Xbox 360 TOMB RAIDER Limited Edition Wireless Controller will receive a download token for an Xbox 360 exclusive playable TOMB RAIDER character. The controller will be available timed to the launch of the game worldwide and is priced at $59.99 (U.S. ERP).

Available beginning March 5, 2013, built from the ground up for the Xbox 360 and featuring add-on content which will be available first on the platform, TOMB RAIDER explores the intense and gritty origin story of Lara Croft and her ascent from a frightened young woman to a hardened survivor. Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold. In the all-new TOMB RAIDER a survivor is born.

  • Ian Davison

Tomb Raider2 was my favorite as I got my first graphic card at the same time! The game suddenly looked gorgeous.

  • Nathan S. Dean

My favorite Tomb Raider game would have been ‘Chronicles’. That’s when I was first introduced to the series & I would play while I was stationed in Germany. It was one of the few games my wife didn’t mind watching me play & we would figure out the puzzles together.

  • Noah G. Rodriguez

I have fond memories of Tomb Raider 2 when I was much younger. I thought the game was confusing and hard to control at first but once I got the hang of it I was cartwheeling and flipping and dispatching enemies with ease. I really wonder what the new Tomb Raider has to offer.

  • Phil Lawson

The first was the most memorable. I loved the style of the animations and attention to detail.

  • David O'Malley

Has to be the original TR I’ll always remember visiting my friends house 30 minutes watching the pass the controller and 30 minutes playing

  • D3ath From Abov3

The first Tomb Raider. To play as a female Indiana Jones was totally epic.

  • Weed Lova

I really cant decide since I like them all.. thats like asking my which game of COD I like.. dont make me choose.. but to follow the rules Ill just say the first one because it was great lol

  • No One

Mine has to be the orginal TombRaider on PS1 because it was one of my first games I played and was amazing to me.

  • Alan Pendleton

The first Tomb Raider, because of the sense of adventure and wonder that came along with it. It felt like a new era in gaming had begun.

  • Chris Bautista

Guardian of light for thr co-op!

  • Jason C. Horsman

My favorite Tomb Raider game is the original back on the Sega Saturn. At the time it was a great adventure game with a female protagonist.

  • Ian Grønlund

The first game! It was new and brilliant! Lara Croft was the Pitfall Harry – and she is the for the 21th century too now ;) @IanGroenlund

  • Marc Uydess

Nothing beats the original. The game that started it all. Without it there were be no series or this awesome controller.

  • Ben Kerry

Has to be Tomb Raider 4. Memories of being stuck on that tutorial level as a kid will haunt me forever. (Twitter = @iShotgunBlues )

  • Kurtis Halley

    Original Tomb Raider

  • Ben watson

Nothing beats the original TR. where it all started.

  • Eldubbing

The original will always be my favourite…one of the first games I played with an actual story (and the requirement for some skill!)…it started me on my gaming journey! – eldubbing

  • Ahmed Alsubaie

First Tomb Raider because it’s so classic!

  • Tim Hennessey

Tomb Raider: Legend. It was a solid revival for what had become a stale/directionless franchise. Good graphics at the time as well.

  • Felipe Cosentine

Tomb Raider: Underworld, my first on XBOX!!

  • Ellena Parsons

Tomb Raider 1, because I first had it on the Sega Saturn, and just remember the graphics not being so bad at the time! I’ve owned it for nearly 20 years and only just finished it recently, so that’s some staying power. :) It’s funny how you can have so much fun just on the house level. Shame theres no butler to lock in the fridge on TR1.

  • Andrew Stephens

Tomb Raider II, simply for the freedom of exploring the secrets of Croft Manor. Locking the butler in the fridge, the obstacle course or quad bike track.

  • Ryan Blanchard

Tomb Raider III is great. It was the first one I played back on my pentium 3 – 133mhz and is still fun even today.

  • Casey Bates

Hands down, tomb raider 1. From entering the game and bring attacked by wolves all the way to t Rex! Great game with good replay value.

  • lucystew

For me, it’s the first Tomb Raider game, because it is the first “3-D” video game I ever played.

  • Jeremy Jones

The 1st Tomb Raider. It’s the best Indiana Jones game I’ve ever played!

    • josh williams

hiya. umm yeah. dont mean to burst your bubble, but tomb raider 1 is NOT part of the indiana jones series. TR and indiana jones games are 2 separate series. TR has a woman called lara croft and indiana jones games have himself in them. there you go. thank you

  • Kyle Smith

I’d have to go with the first Tomb Raider. I still remember it quite vividly while I was growing up as a kid. The environment was fantastic throughout most of the game.

  • Denny Hilliard

Tomb Raider III was my favorite TR game. It came out at a time where I had so many games to play yet it was that game that took away most of my attention. I have a lot of neglected homework to blame on that game…

  • Ryan McFadden

The first Tomb Raider probably! I played that so much, such a great game!

  • Jonathan

It is extremely difficult to choose just a single game, but I guess for me the best “Tomb Raider” game was “Tomb Raider Anniversary.” Not only because of its graphics, variety of locations and gameplay, but also for all the good moments that this game made me remember. It brought my chilhood back, it made me recall all those days that I spent in front of my PC playing the original game, how I got stuck in certain stages and all the chanlenges that I was able to overcome. That is why, for me, this game was and still is priceless.

  • Greg Palmer

The original TR is my favorite, along with Resident Evil it really took gaming to another level and I have many fond memories of playing these on the original Play Station.

  • Barry Johnson

My favorite Tomb Raider was the original. The thrill of the first movie ws still fresh, Angela was still fresh, and the next level of video game graphics had not hit to upstage this version.

  • dwalins

El primero porque no hay nada como el original! ^^

  • JevonG

The first was my favorite. Nice intro to the series.

  • shriyansh kothari

My favorite game in Tomb raider series is Tomb Raider : Angle of Darkness as it was my very first game on PlayStation 2 and had an RPG element in it i.e we can choose the conversation.

  • Keith Neufeld

Mine would have to be Guardian of Light just for the co-op element it brought to the series but really all of them were entertaining. New one is definetly looking like it will be a new favorite though lol.

  • Antonio Pérez

for me the first one was the best. Just because was the original one.

  • Bill Shutler

My favorite Tomb Raider game was probably the very first one. At the time it was unlike any other game I had ever seen. For the time, the graphics were awesome, and walking into a giant wide open tomb for the first time is a memory I will never forget in gaming.

  • Ian Whittingham

Tomb Raider 1, because I still remember playing it over christmas when it first came out & then playing it again on every system it was available for.

  • Chuck Underwood

The Original Tomb Raider. The first time experiencing Tomb Raider and Lara Croft can never be recreated.

  • J

The Original Tomb Raider was my favorite because it was new, different and fun to play

  • RIHaleh

My favorite Tomb Raider video game is TOMB RAIDER REBORN because is the newest…

  • Trey Archer

Guardian of light. It was a load of fun.

  • john adkins

I actually like them all i love the game play and style

  • Ville-Waltteri Herrala

Tomb Radier II – the first one I ever played. Mind you I did later play the first one as well, but this one has the most memories attached to it :D

  • Joshua Morgan

The original Tomb Raider. I had it for the Sega Saturn and it was the only game I owned. I had no clue to pull the plastic tab for the battery and because of that I was never able to save my game. I played that game so much that I was able to beat it in one sitting in a few hours. I finally called Sega to ask why I wasn’t able to save and they told me to pull the plastic tab. I felt like an idiot.

  • Frostygills

    Love the whole series

  • Symel1337

My favorite one is the first Tomb Rider, at the time it was the best action game with puzzle Elements. Lot of fun !

  • Max Eastwood

The original tomb raider. Everything else is just addons

  • Starzan Norman

Tomb Raider Underworld and Guardian of Light, great story awesome gameplay!!! @Dunmius8
