It looks good but after halo 3, ODST, and reach I’m going to hold off on it… it might end up being just another short shooter or the next big thing.

    • http://twitter.com/dibils dibils

short? have you not looked at the info released?? its pretty much a MMO with all the planets to visit

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Curtis-Isabell/1036013363 Curtis Isabell

um you could visit about a dozen planets in ME1 and it was still only like 30 hours of gameplay. and it won’t be an mmo people really need to learn what an MMO is.

        • http://twitter.com/dibils dibils

ME3 wasnt “constantly online”… you will get new missions constantly. you can play on your own or party up with other people in the universe (MMO).

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Curtis-Isabell/1036013363 Curtis Isabell

it depends on what those missions are and how they work out. as I said if its good i’l end up getting it.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1355305542 Chris Rabideau

They are scheduling for new things to do daily, for about a decade. So yeah, there’s going to be more than 30 hours available and it’s not going to be short.

Easy said than done, it will likely repeat a lot

          • ryder4life22187

Not a fan of constantly online as i like to play my games well after the system is longer getting new games on it. Other words what will we be left with a disc or download that wont boot up when Live is pulled.

  • Russell Gorall

    Looks like Halo.

They stopped making Halo to make Halo?

    • Smokex365

If it looks like halo it’s because basically every game (marathon, oni, halo, etc.) bungie has made is in the same universe. They have no need to create a completely new universe.

      • http://twitter.com/duznot Brad Lavender

I’m pretty sure they just did.

        • Russell Gorall

This is the newest Halo since last year.

      • Russell Gorall

If they wanted to not make the same product over and over they would want to do something new.

        I smell Grand Theft Horse.

    • Z4M0

They stopped making Halo exclusive to make Halo for Activision, that is to say, to everyone.

It’s all part of microsoft plan to kiss goodbye either the great exclusives that made xbox360 great (mass effect, bioshock, dead rising, etc.) or the studios behind some of them. That, and turning the xbox360 into a family-friendly focused multimedia device, where listen music or social networks is as important as games is their way to make the best console out of xbox 360.

So far, reality. If you asked me, then insert facepalm.

      • Z4M0

lol, yeah, downvote frenzy! I guess truth hurts but soon our beloved gaming system that once was the best (or its successor system) will prove more useful to compete with our ipod or brush our teeth than for diverese and propper gaming (let the Halo, Cod, Battlefield and gears praise time begin) wich was ideed, the purpose it was born for :D

  • http://twitter.com/damashedavenger kit walker

lighten up dudes, i think it looks cool, but how bout we wait till we find out some more details before we start bashing it…

    • Russell Gorall

      Or praising it?

      • http://twitter.com/boe2BE Boe2

Nobody is praising it. Apart from some bizarro claiming it looks like halo, there is nobody commenting on the gameplay, as we don’t know much yet, besides that it’s sort of an mmo shooter.

        • Russell Gorall

It only looks exactly like Halo, why would they think it looks like Halo?

  • http://twitter.com/Lucky13X Lucky13X

Interesting. Some of the content and the way the characters move reminds me of a reporpused Halo engine but also Lost Planet as an MMO looking at the enemy design. And they have a 10 year plan for this? Good luck with that. That is not easy in this gaming culture. They better check with the guild Wats, Eve and other devs who have found ways to keep their game content relevant without doing endless full game sequels.

  • http://twitter.com/Lucky13X Lucky13X

Also was that integration and mission updates/requests to the phone? Good to see that tech being used more for games, and even more important on the Xbox.

  • http://www.facebook.com/ejstarr Eric Starr

Pre-order pages show it’s for the 360, but how is this supposed to last 10 years if the 360 is nearing the end of its life-cycle?

  • metallicorphan

will Xbox Live Gold be needed for this,or will you perhaps do the same thing you do for Final Fantasy 11 where you only need Silver?(although you still need to pay a subscription to Square)

    • Nick Peck

Considering they said there is no monthly fee, take a guess :p

      • metallicorphan

Activision/Bungie said that, they meant the game themselves because it’s to be similar to an MMO…..they have no control over Xbox Live Gold,i Didn’t ask if there was a monthly subscription to the game,i asked if Gold would be needed to play the game

if XBLG is needed,a lot of people wont be getting this,if there is no single/offline mode…i mean half the 360s out there aren’t even connected to the internet let alone Xbox Live Gold (So MS said a few weeks back..they said 40 million had a Xbox Live account)

        • Calypso

Micro transactions ala Planetside 2 seems to be the way of the future. I would not be surprised if they adopt this model.

  • http://twitter.com/boe2BE Boe2

What’s interesting is that this is rumoured to be multiplatform.

Makes sense, last thing you want when releasing an MMO is limiting your audience.

  • Antonio Rasgaferro Louveira

This game was supposed to be exclusive to the Xbox 360, will be an awesome game, worth being multiplatform … Microsoft should have bought bungie …

    • metallicorphan

They did buy Bungie, but let them go

  • https://live.xbox.com/MyXbox/Profile?gamertag=DarkGin87 Lee Rayson (DarkGin87)

It has me a little interested but there a slight problem with it. The publisher is Activision an they plan to span the games over 10 years. This could be what stops me from getting into it

  • Z4M0

    I’ll fix that header.

    “Goodbye to Bungine”

    Done.

  • http://www.facebook.com/chomskyknows Marcus Roof

99% of this was shots of the devs themselves and concept art. very little actual in-game engine stuff so I’m really not sure what to expect here…how much/many RPG-elements? what’s this about MMO-like? what does that even mean? how many players on screen at once? there’s just not enough info to know what the hell it is other than a FPS with a customizable character…Funny coincidence that it’s a big orbiting globe (like the Didact antagonist from Halo 4)…I’m sure the critics will pick up on that immediately…

  • MrRadiolips

Probably will be the “Avatar” of games in the sense that it will be an unbeatable series. Bungie is the type of company that doesnt like to lose. Epic likes to think they are king but they are the Sylvester Stallone and Arnold schwarzenegger type of video games.

  • Andrew Feedle

can we say sell outs?? making a halo clone so they can put it on other systems.. Also want to comment on the sony app on a 360 system.. what next a nintendo app?

    • MrRadiolips

How are they sell outs when they created Halo? I think they have created a signature not a copy.

  • Z4M0

want to watch more ? just go and browse PS4 Destiny video, it even comes with a personal message from Bungie to playstation’s user. LOL
