I’m so excited about the opportunity to watch other gamers play a video game I can barely contain myself…………………………………………….gee, turns out I couldn’t care less.

    • Nick Peck

And anyone cares that you don’t care? Millions of other people do enjoy it. I like watching stuff like this when I’m not in the mood to play or while I’m cleaning up around the house. Big deal….

      • Superman64

Apparently you cared enough to reply to him.

        • Riddick Snipes

And it starts all over again.

          • Superman64

Hey…it’s Riddick the stalker. Keep holding onto those grudges little guy. That will get you real far in life.

      • xXgannicusXx

more people care than disagree with me, apparently ;) seriously, though, millions of people do enjoy it? I’ll believe that when I see it, and then I will give up all hope for kids born late 1990s on.

this has got to be a championship for all the cheap players who camp, snipe, shotguns and rocket launchers

    • Nick Peck

Have you ever watched anything like this? Not much camping going on but at the same time, there’s nothing wrong with people that camp. It’s a play style and it’s in the game, sure it can get annoying but if you die to a camper more than twice, you are the idiot.
These “pro” matches are pretty fun to watch as almost all of the people playing are pretty good and have good strats in countering and flanking. Check it out if you are interested at all, it’s entertaining for a bit.

I will be watching the hockey game around that time. I will find out the results on ESPN later… never mind, they cover sports.

    Oh dear…

Major. something on your blog is REALLY disliking the official skype plugin for chrome. It keeps crashing when I visit this blog.

This is the stuff dreams are made of! I have dreamed of this since I was a kid. Not to date myself, but I played when the PONG system was out. This is not only a great day for gamers, but the WORLD! This could be the future battle field!

    • Nick Peck

I wish these sponsored events were around when I was younger lol. I used to be a top pc fps player and always dominated at local and distant LAN parties (played a ton of quake and Unreal) and though I did make some decent money I would kill to be playing for hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars!
Don’t have the time to practice these days like I used to when I was younger :(

      • http://twitter.com/boe2BE Boe2

The good old days of destroying people’s confidence in Quake 2/3, then going to lanparty competitions, only to get destroyed yourself. I do miss it :)

  • Russell Gorall

    Take that, Last of Us!

  • H0RIZ0N

Adam Orth doesn’t get the ‘drama’ around an always-online Xbox!! You need to do something about this major, help him understand why always-online is bad for the consumers.

    • mama mambo

I bought the original xbox at launch, I preordered a 360 at launch, and if they make it always online required, Im buying a PS4, and I haven’t owned a PS since the original PS 1. I am voting with my wallet, and all my friends are doing the same. In fact, we will probably just stick with PC gaming next gen if this comes to pass.

      • Gunnrs

You guys have to let them make their case at e3…if always online has a good tradeoff i’m all for it…however, by itself it is a huge negative for sure.

    just the finals? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • http://twitter.com/ciprodriguez ciprodriguez

yes speed walking and bird watching are sports so why can this? this takes more hand eye coordination and awareness than both combined.

  • Russell Gorall

If anyone wants a laugh, Google “Adam Orth”.

    • mama mambo

Lets hope its just a laugh and not true, or Sony will be the next gen console for me,.

  • H0RIZ0N

Rumors are saying that you need a internet connection in order for the xbox to “FUNCTION”.

    • Beater Blocker

How else are they going to quadruple the amount of ads they bombard your dashboard with, spy on your living room habits via Kinect and use it to scan the number of faces pointed at the screen when you stream movies so they can charge you per person for any media content you consume ;)

      • Gunnrs

Kinect mandatory is worse than always online for me. it’s just creepy.

  • Gunnrs

it was a really good event! fariko proved they are the best black ops 2 team and the replacers and mob of the dead really have me looking forward to uprising!!
