I’ll go download that trial now. :)

  • George

Will this play on the Xbox One?

    • Dylan

Buy it on 360 and NOPE it will not.

      • SeNiLe911

Why buy it for the 360 if not supported in a few months on the Xbox One? No THX!!!

        • JoeGrahamcracker

Keep your 360. Is it going to take you months to beat one $15 game?

          • SeNiLe911

Its not about beating it… It’s the replay value. Its like buying a movie. Do you just watch it once? No! If so, it might be best to rent it, because you won’t be able to play it on the One once the 360 finally goes belly up and you can’t buy a NEW one, when that day comes, and it will.

It’s a sad day when I’ll want to play Limbo, the 360 is no more, and the Xbox One doesn’t support it…

          • Michael Andrews

            Agreed. Well said.

          • xXgannicusXx

lol people like you make me smh and laugh

          • Riddick Snipes

            Right on brother

          • Riddick Snipes

If u want to play limbo in 2017 then just turn on your 360. Problem solved.

          • SeNiLe911

I won’t have a Xbox 360 in 2017. It will be sold or not working any longer… Electronics don’t last forever you know and most want to upgrade not keep every system we ever owned connected to our TVs.

Look at it this way… How many PC’s have you owned? I’m guessing I’ve had 15 or 20 in my lifetime, or more, being a tech guy. I bet I could boot up the oldest game I own on my Windows 8 computer with no problem.

That is what I want from MY digital content that I OWN. Not let it die with my Xbox 360 to never play it again, or sell it, or trade it in, or lend it out, or give it away…

          • Riddick Snipes

            Go away

          • Bush O Connor

why are you defending this rubbish?? senile is right. i’ve changed my pre-ordered GTA5 from 360 to ps3. i buy all my digital media from steam, at least it will always work on a pc.

          • Riddick Snipes

So because u wanna change a gta5 pre order means ur right. OK then. Go back to your steam go back to ur PC . The Xbox 1 will not be a PC it will b a console. And by the way 360 games will always work on a 360.

          • Bush O Connor

nope 360 games will not always work on a 360, what happens 10-20 years down the road and you want to play skyrim, pop it into your 360 and the lens is dead. or you want to play an arcade game and your microsoft brand hdd is crapped out. i’l just fire up the pc and launch skyrim from steam.

honestly i cannot understand why you’re defending this especially when it comes to XBLA games.

          • Riddick Snipes

If my HDD dies? So ur basically saying is no one who has a 360 should have ever downloaded an xbla game or an add on!!! Furthermore in 20 years I could still buy 1 brand new online just like I can a Sega master system today. Even if the 1 was BC r u saying its HDD will never fail. Pick one and go with it.

          • Bush O Connor

the hdd on the ONE will fail at some stage and it cannot be removed. put it this way i expected the xbox brand to last a life time and all digital content to carry onto the next.
it just makes sense, instead we got the middle finger from microsoft.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joe-Adanac/100001237455741 Joe Adanac

Thanks to MS’s Windows compatibility issues, there’s actually several PC games I own which will no longer run. PC is leagues, fathoms better for backwards compatibility, but no thanks to Microsoft, it’s not perfect either.

          • xXgannicusXx

u are aware all digital content besides games will be transferable to the Xbox One, right? the Playstation 4 won’t be backwards compatible either. ironically, we don’t even know if Sony’s PSN will be free, people just assume as much. so, don’t get to worked up when all gamers lack the necessary info to be making decisions

          • Riddick Snipes

            That’s gold right there.

        • Does Not Equal

I wouldn’t expect a downloadable game to use THX, especially since they’d have to pay Lucasfilm a license fee.

          • SeNiLe911

            THX – Thanks

I wasn’t referring to the sound system standard…

        • Riddick Snipes

Wow ur silly. Its sold on the 360 so its supposed to b played on the 360. Simple as that.

    • Riddick Snipes

Damn y is everyone thinking everything should play on the Xbox 1. Its quite simple really. My TV has 4 HDMI inputs. One for Xbox one, one for the 360, one for the ps3 and if I decide to get it, one for the ps4. All I want confirmed is 1080p/60 fps. If it does this I’ll b happy.

      • Dylan

Because they say it’s an ALL IN ONE MACHINE

AND YOU SUGGEST TO HAVE 4 MACHINES AT ONCE

        • Z4M0

^This. The all in one motto epic failed at the moment they confirmed you’ll need a 360 to keep playing certain games.

Will there be more Gears of War games from now on ? Dunno but if it’s the case and you want to play the whole saga you won’t be able to do so with your “all in one machine”.

I will eventually grow fine on the non BW compatibility over time (as I’ll finish my large backlog indeed) but please don’t try to make me think Xbox ONE will even serve me a toast at morning cause it wouldn’t do stuff I consider that matters gaming-wise while it would do the same my tv (internet browsing, yoputube) or my cable (sports) already do.

          • Riddick Snipes

I ain’t the person who said its an all in 1 machine. I was replying to someone. And again if u don’t like it ,don’t buy it.

        • Riddick Snipes

All in 1 simply means it will play Xbox 1 games,TV,music and blurays. Who said anything about it playing 360 games. Isn’t that what the 360 is for?

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Joe-Adanac/100001237455741 Joe Adanac

            My TV already plays TV
            My PS3 already plays blu-rays
My PS3, Xbox 360, Vita and high end PC already play games

So tell me: what is the Xbox One for?

          • Riddick Snipes

Um yeah… I was replying to someone who thought the all in 1 motto for the Xbox 1 included a backward compatibility feature which again it doesn’t. Everybody get over it. What’s the Xbox 1 for u ask. I’ll tell u. I’ll tell u what it means to me anyway. It means serious gaming with visuals and speed of use that will surpass the 360. That’s all its supposed to mean. All the other stuff it can do isoptional. As long as iI get higher definition resolution of 1080p as opposed to 720p ill b sweet. 16 times the ram means it should b fast, about as fast as the part of the announcement when the guy kept changing from game to movie to TV to game etc. And if the cod dog looks like that, imagine what the game looks like. If u already think u have things that do what to 1 will do then don’t buy it. Because remember only if u buy it r u allowed to whinge that it does nothing. For the record I don’t really watch much TV at all, just blurays on my ps3 and games on my 360. Y r people scared to keep their 360 after buying a 1.

      • SeNiLe911

I don’t want two Xbox’s… For me it’s the digital content that I bought that is untradeable. You can’t sell it. You can’t do anything with it once your Xbox 360 dies or you sell it.

The retail games that we have a box and media can be traded in or sold, so that’s fine but they could have made it work like they did for most of the Xbox original games.

I thought for sure the download content we bought (arcade games, games on demand) would stick with us for life no matter what Xbox we owned.

        • http://twitter.com/ENich1 E.Nich

I understand your point of view, because I think like that too. But I still will buy the arcade games I like from 360, and I will play them, and finish them.

And If they don’t carry on to a X1, I won’t buy one, period. I always have been a console player more than PC. But the new generation will force me to buy a good PC and play through Steam. It’s sad how they forget that we are the ones that pay their bills, and they should offer what we want (more or less), and not harass us with forced online to play games we paid. And in the same way, I’m 100% sure that they will do collections of the arcade games we bought through the 360’s marketplace on the X1 and now they say that couldn’t be played on it (because they know that if we like that game, we have no other choice but to buy it again to play it in the new system).

As a lot of people say, PC has total retro-compat, and games are still sold, and people buy them. Why all this bussiness out of selling over and over the same games through consoles of the same brand? I’m tired of it and I won’t support it.
          /rant

          • Bush O Connor

i bet minecraft will be the only XBLA game that will work on day 1. after you re-buy it.

        • Riddick Snipes

You thought wrong and ur name says it all. Now that u do know it won’t play them I guess ur gonna have to keep ur 360 now huh.

  • Flawless

    no thanks phaggot.

  • BostonSup

Sorry, but if MS forces us to re-buy downloaded games for the Xbox One, then I won’t buy any downloadable games for the 360.

Probably won’t be buying to many more retail games either, since you won’t allow backward’s compatibility either (at least that is more understandable than not allowing downloadable games)

  • bill

I’d totally buy this if I knew I could play it on the new xbox one, but since I can’t, no thanks. I don’t understand why they don’t create an emulator app for xbox one that will play the old games. I have 8 years worth of arcade game purchases

    • http://twitter.com/NathanielFrost1 Nathaniel Frost

This is a tough one for me too, I can deal with the fact this is the way things are, that to play my existing collection of xbla and disc games I’ll need the current 360 console. Maybe later they’ll incorporate some way to play existing titles on the new console, but right now, after everything learned from the conference, it doesn’t seem like there will be a lot of incentive to buy the new machine with little content to play on it besides needing the gold membership to access its multimedia components. I’m definitely going to be one of those late adopters of the coming console.

  • Riddick Snipes

    Chop chop in the house!

  • m1nh0ca

    Obligatory use of Kinect? Meh.
    Fees for used games? Meh.
    Always connected? Meh.
TV more important than games? Meh.
Let’s put it simple: no problem at all in buying X360 games (discounted ones, as always, of course), as I just WON’T get a X1.

I’m just looking forward to check what the competitor will do… and if they will convince me to migrate or to get stuck into the current generation.

    • Does Not Equal

I don’t think this game requires Kinect or an online connection, and it’s digital, so you can’t resell it. It’s not even on XBO.

  • Dylan

Then why is it called the ONE? It’s not the all-in-one entertainment device if it doesn’t replace your 360, doesn’t replace your cable box, and isn’t its own wi-fi hot spot.

    • Does Not Equal

It doesn’t microwave your food, play music in your car, or track how many miles you ran, either. Damn you, Microsoft!

  • Riddick Snipes

    Spoken like a true gentleman.

  • Does Not Equal

That’s what I said when they first put games up on the 360 arcade! “If I can’t play this on all future systems that follow this one, then I’ll buy nothing!” Take that, Zuma.
