Top LIVE By Larry Hryb, Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson

  • Nickmett

lol fable 3 on 8th place just because it’s free

  • Rickard Olsson

Aaaaaand Judgment’s off the list. What a surprise. Not! Please, Epic, do not make the same mistakes with Gears 4!

  • Hugoku

    Go SONIC!
    Go SEGA!

  • Alex

    Woo State of Decay!!!

  • dibils

oh boy gears judgment lol i still think its the best gears interms of gameplay and balance (after the TU’s), but at launch it was just too different and there was barely any content.

    • Clattus

Really? I think it blows. It is a call of duty version of gears which is why it was kicked off the list because people will just play call of duty instead.

      • dibils

maybe at launch with the 1 weapon loudout but right now its pretty much gears 3 WITHOUT actives and stopping power which makes it FAAAAR better. but the maps still lack and so do game modes (i want KOTH)

for gears4, if they get Gears judgment weapon balance and no actives/stoppingpower, then get gears 3’s everything else then it will be the perfect gears game

  • CrashOver1de

Uh…State of Decay is a more popular *arcade* title than Minecraft, but not a more popular *overall* title? How does that make any sense?

    • mdwhitby

State of Decay was purchased more times than Minecraft this period but there are more Minecraft copies out there, hence more total activity. Arcade games and retail games effectively have different measures.

    • http://twitter.com/lightsup55 Timothy Leucht

The top arcade list ONLY includes PURCHASED arcade games. The top overall list includes the demo/trial and full (purchased) games.

This means that MORE gamers that play Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition have played the trial game than the full (purchased) game.

At some point, I’m sure this will change due to the release of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition on retail disc (i.e. you can buy it at your local game store). When it was first released in May 2012, it was only available via digital download. Digital download is how most gamers obtain Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (trial or full).

      • Steve_Melton

Not exactly correct. The first list is by UU’s — Unique Users. This could include demos, but also multiple gamertags playing on one copy of a given game (i.e. splitscreen).

        • Guest

Unique Users means multiple gamertags or one IP? I’ve heard both, but never seen proof on either.

      • mcmax3000

The overall list is based on unique users playing, and the XBLA list is based on sales.

So, Minecraft was played more last week, but State of Decay sold more copies during that week.

  • StrikeSudden

Arcade has its own area for ranking. So why list them with the retail games.

    • usrev

arcade is games bought, the top is unique users. so being number 1 (state of decay) just means more people bought that than minecraft for the week.

  • Vince

This list means nothing and it’s just a way to show that Microsoft is supporting the publishers.

  • usrev

I am glad gears judgement trash is off the list, now if people would stop playing the trash that is halo 4… glad to see state of decay doing well, probably the only good 360 exclusive since 2010 or so. sad to see it not have co-op though as it needed that badly.

    • Riddick Snipes

U compare halo 4 and state of decay. That is some wacky thinking.

    • Clattus

Halo 4 is not the best, but there are far worse games up there and above as well as below it. State of Decay seemed way too glitchy and for trying to be more realistic didn’t quite nail it for me. Couldn’t stand a zombie biting you or a group piling on you only to shrug it off as an example.

    • a fat mess

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s trash. Get off your high horse.

    • pulseimpact

Halo 5 better not be like Halo 4 or Xbox One is doomed.

  • fsdfg dsfds

State of Decay banned in Australia, Coming to NZ in two weeks, Thanks for making us wait so long you Abo noobs

  • random2win

Lol what did i tell you guys gears judgment is going to disappear in the next LIVE Activity, and here we are.

  • m1nh0ca

    Sales = Sells

  • boe2

Because GFWL is no longer being used for newer games (and we applaud you for that), does it still make sense to have PC rankings? Those are all relatively old games in there.

    • fsdfg dsfds

      Mustard tiger

    • Bush O Connor

i have 12 of those games on the computer

      • boe2

Sure, and a good deal of people do still play them :). It doesn’t change the fact that Games for Windows Live has become obsolete and that it’s stats are meaningless now.

        • fsdfg dsfds

          Son of a mustard tiger

          • boe2

            umadbro?

          • fsdfg dsfds

            u original brah?
            Son of mustard tiger

          • boe2

            ok, I’ll play along

            applesauce giraffe

            your turn :)

          • PSN_IS_GARBAGE

            LOL!!!

        • Bush O Connor

thats true, its just the same list the last year or so.

  • Bush O Connor

good to see battlefield rising up again, people must be getting ready for bf4.

remember when the only complaints on here was the live activity lists were only the top 10’s :)

  • InfernoShade

I guess you fail to see many things in life. :)

  • https://twitter.com/Ganon255 Ganon255

I’d like to see lists for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 7/8

  • Mark Jones

Where is Gears Judgment? When that was a super chash in… I really up if they continue with this franchise that they go back to what makes Gears Great and not try to turn it into a dumbed down casual COD clone… Enough with newbie casual weapons and and all around casual dumbed down mechanics.. Make it Gears again..

    • lagrew

Judgements multiplayer might of ruined me on gears for a long while. It was utterly horrible at launch. now its decent but it is way too late.

    • Guest

This is pretty much how halo fans feel…If Halo 5 isn’t like the original trilogy then it’s going to be hard to ignore the PS4.

    • pulseimpact

This is how halo fans feel, too.

  • InfernoShade

What a contradiction from your first post. hehe

  • Jerry Curlan

Man, I’m with you – but my 9 & 6 year old might have a different opinion.

  • zanychelly .

343i, In a next Halo game you should care about the True Fans.

    • pulseimpact

No sprint, no flinch, no loadouts. That doesn’t mean that the game will be Halo 3 reskinned…there are ways you could take elements from Halo 1-3 and evolve halo the way Halo 4 should have. You can always add new guns and vehicles. That would be fine…they just need to go back to the original gameplay style. Bring back dual wielding…if you don’t like it just put in a custom game option to turn it off and apply that to specific playlists for matchmaking. Random ordinance has to be gone. Static weapons spawns are more fair and promote map control where Halo 4 is too clustered and campy because of ordinance. They should also remake a Sandtrap styled map with the Mammoth. Make that thing playable in multiplayer and it will restore my faith in you 343i. I swear 343 combined all the worst elements of reach and cod into one game (halo 4) which is why people have just given up on it. The population numbers are way below what a game that sold 8 million copies should be.

I sort of agree. It gets repetitive. The main problem to me is that nothing is really a challenge after the first day. Takes a few hours to get diamond and things enchanted. Way too easy. Even on hard game is just a grind.
