Congratulations to Xbox exclusive “Titanfall” which won a record 6 awards in the E3 Game Critic Awards announced today.

  • Slowian

    Best PC Game
    Titanfall
(Respawn/EA for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

    It is not Xbox exclusive.

    • dibils

      its MS exclusive

      • MrRadiolips

Xbox one, 360 and PC exclusive but 360 version developed by another Co.

        • Guest

So technically TitanFall is a Microsoft Platform Exclusive

          • MrRadiolips

Maybe down the road it will run on linux but who knows? I know it will be on Origin. For Xbone it will partly be ran on cloud through Origin. Most likely multiplayer.

          • roozbeh

            Its only multiplayer.

          • MrRadiolips

Yes i know. lol Xbone wont be able to handle the game without the cloud because of its specs.

          • roozbeh

Titanfall uses the cloud for dedicated servers nothing more. The specs are good enough

          • MrRadiolips

Xbone is basically an AMD APU and a game like this wouldnt hardly run on even lower graphics settings.

          • roozbeh

Hate to break it to u but so is ps4. There practically the same. The game will run with that.

          • MrRadiolips

Yes i know but i was talking about the reason for the cloud.

          • roozbeh

For titanfall its just dedicated servers. Could do more with other games

          • MrRadiolips

            WRONG!!

          • roozbeh

            How?

          • MrRadiolips

Everything is moving to cloud gaming which means you play the title on the cloud. Onlive is on Ouya Gaikai is on sony and i really dont care about Xbone cloud service. Crytek has Gface. Google is coming out with cloud gaming also. You will play games on the cloud.

          • roozbeh

Again how was I wrong about titanfall. I agree cloud is getting big. But titanfall is only for dedicated servers.

          • Colorfulchew

Microsoft’s cloud is a cloud compute platform. Severely different from Sony’s Gaikai service, or Onlive. Seeing as Onlive isn’t that popular, I don’t see Gaikai being that much more popular with consumers.

          • roozbeh

I didn’t know azure was origin.

          • MrRadiolips

Have you even went to the Titanfall website?

          • roozbeh

Yeah i have. But doubt you did.

          • MrRadiolips

Go to gamestop and look up titanfall for pc and it says it requires Origin client.

          • Bush O Connor

yes its an EA game, and all the cloud will be used for is (cheaper for EA) dedicated servers.

          • roozbeh

            I meant on xbox

    • MrRadiolips

Can not wait for this for my PC! I just bought 2 HD 7950 for my rig!! This game is going to kick the shlit out of BF4 i believe.

      • Jonah Falcon

I’m torn between the PC and Xbox One versions.

        • MrRadiolips

Easy for me to choose PC version over console. Quality will be key for this title.

    • KillerByte

it is a microsoft exclusive because it will only be on Windows, Xbox One, Xbox 360

      • MrRadiolips

Im sure it will be on “Steam Box” since it will use Valves Source engine.

        • nanowerx

Nope, it will be on Origin on the PC.

          • roozbeh

            Lol

          • MrRadiolips

Who said origin wont be on steambox?

    • Xboner2013

I believe it’s a time exclusive, so eventually PS3 and PS4 and Gaikai probably.

      • roozbeh

Nah it ain’t. Its not coming to ps4 trust me.

        • usrev

EA likes money, if they think they can make more money putting it on ps4 than MS gives them to stay exclusive you can bet anything it will come to ps4, it’s only a timed exclusive, which means after X amount of time it can go on any platform. PS4 is more powerful than the x1 so it can definitely run on it.

          • Xboner2013

Activision likes money too… mechs in next COD.

Either way EA backed the wrong horse and will pay for it. I like what I have seen from TF, other than the wall jumping and flying stuff .

          • roozbeh

Probably a few years down the line.

      • Matt Micronaut Ahern

If this was to come to the PS4, it would be years down the line. I assume potential sequels will be for all platforms.

        • usrev

probably 2015-16. but it depends on how long the contract lasts, personally I think it will be like mass effect, titanfall 1 on x1 only but the sequels will be on ps4 and probably a in 2017 titanfall 1 on ps4 for like $15 on the PSN store.

          • Xboner2013

1 year timed exclusive, but if it’s out on PC, I don’t see why it couldn’t be on Gaikai on day one as well

    • Peter M.

well, most so called xbox “exclusives” come out on pc.
      this shouldnt surprise anyone.

  • Mathias

Console excusive, obviously. So far, at least.

Looks good, and I sometimes dream about this being the CoD killer…

Another thing: The Psycho Pack doesn’t appear to have any discount at all. Is it only me that sees it with the reguar price?

    • MrRadiolips

It will be on Origin! Yay!!!

      • Karl Cramer

That’s the first time I’ve heard anyone “Yay!” Origin. Most PC gamers love Steam to download games.

        • MrRadiolips

          I know isnt that sad?

    • MrRadiolips

Gamestop already has it on preorder for PC.

      • Mathias

It will be exclusive to Xbox on the CONSOLE market. Jesus christ, I didn’t think it was going to be so hard to understand. We all know it’s coming to PC.

        • MrRadiolips

Not my fault that your clarification wasnt up to par. Wonder why you are getting so defensive? Hmmmmmm!?

          • Lucas Sanches Cestari

it will be microsoft exclusive, some people don’t understood xD, it will be released for PC,Xbox 360 and Xbox One

  • roozbeh

    Don mattrick is gone.
How many likes will this get

    • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

Sometime those guys are paid to say stuff they don’t necesserly agree. Never think he’s not a puppet. If he left, we was probably either not liking what happen or not getting enough power to acheive a real vision

  • david_hoyland

Obviously it won big, I mean come on have you seen Titanfall ?!!?

    • Jonah Falcon

      I did, at E3.

  • ElektroDragon

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket, Microsoft. If I were you I’d ask Capcom to tighten up the graphics on Dead Rising 3 and get rid of the jaggies. Because it will probably be your highest selling launch title. Everyone loves zombies, as State of Decay proves.

    • roozbeh

But you dont want the xbone. Plus dr3 isnt jaggie. the video was bad

      • ElektroDragon

Wrong, I saw 1080p direct footage. Anyway, how the hell do you know what I want? I currently have XB1 and PS4 both pre-ordered from Amazon.

        • roozbeh

U kept bashing about it thats why.

          • usrev

complaining about shortcomings are the only way to let MS what we want. right now, there are only a few games on x1 worth getting, titanfall is one of them. but other than that, project spark and maybe dead rising, they have little worth mentioning, PS4 is killing them in games.

          • donnyskillz

killing them in games?….what the hell were you watching, nothing ps4 showed could touch xbox ones line up, i dont use drugs..but im sure you are smoking something really bad….some bath salts maybe, because your delusional. maybe you and that old man that they showed in that lame tech demo can play some games together lmao!!!!

          • roozbeh

If your judging the e3 game line up the ps4 has nothing compared to the xbox one

    • Colorfulchew

I didn’t see anything wrong with the Dead Rising 3 gameplay.. Am I alone in this?

      • Dylan

I saw Resident Evil 5 in that demo.
Impressive tech, with all the fun removed.

It saddens me to see that we get another series drained of all the fun, browned out, and adding airstrikes just to appeal to the COD crowd.

  • david_hoyland

    Conversation over

  • fastharryDOTcom

    SONY::: Soon, Only Not Yet

    • roozbeh

NEVER. NEVER. Sony needs ms. The same ms needs sony

  • Dave

Lock this one down guys. It’s a keeper.

  • MrRadiolips

People need to understand the meaning of exclusive.

    • beardyman3218

People need to understand the meaning of console exclusive as well.

  • StrikeSudden

Am I the only one that thinks critics are making strange pics these days. Out side of titanfall. I do not get the list.

    • Jonah Falcon

      What don’t you get?

      • Skode

In fairness to the fella i agree to a tiny degree… when i see best RPG i dont want to see an MMO with a monthly sub, thats damning for the genre.

        • Dylan

          What should have won instead?

    • Dylan

I think the Oculus Rift winning best Hardware is a fantastic thing.

I sincerely hope it is integrated into the console market.

  • Volitar Prime

I wonder which version will sell the most copies. I predict the XB360 followed by the PC and then the XBOne.

    • MrRadiolips

      I completely agree.

    • StrikeSudden

If things work as promised then xbox one. That remains to be seen.

  • https://twitter.com/RudolfKingnBear Rodolfo Antonio

    I certainly saw it.

  • Karl Cramer

In the end it all comes down to the games.

    • StrikeSudden

I think you are right. I have been getting the feeling lately that critics are trying to drive the industry instead of reporting on it.

    • usrev

which is xbox’s weak spot and has been for years now.

      • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

really ? did i missed something.

      • Kris King

Well that is just your opinion. I have had plenty of games to play on the 360 (over 200), and more in the next few months so I don’t really think that games are a weak spot.

        • Dylan

Since 2008 the exclusives have been garbage.

          All sequels, all underwhelming.
          Nothing new.
It has been frustrating to me, to look over and see all new IP exclusives on the other platform.

          • Kris King

Well nothing for the PS3 has come out since launch that made me want to buy one. I am happy with the PC & 360 for the type of games I like to play, and the community. It also depends on the type of games people like as well. For example if you want JRPG PS is the place to go. If you want good family type games or kid games Nintendo.

          • Dylan

            I don’t like JRPG’s.

I was interested in games like The Last of Us, Infamous, Heavy Rain, and Uncharted.

They’re still putting out great AAA exclusives, The Last of Us may be the best game of this gen (I’d consider it a tie with Bioshock).

The last non Kinect/ Forza/Halo/Gears exclusive was the abysmal Crackdown 2.

That’s pathetic. And I’m pissed off that they aren’t supporting the 360 at ALL.

          • beardyman3218

            Alan Wake?

          • Dylan

            I LOVE Alan Wake!
I wanted more games like that!

But NOTHING new came out after it. Nothing.

          • paul rolland

lol what? can tell your not a gamer and just a Xbox fan boy, Nintendo is not family or kids @.@ that is in an insult to the games they make. Yeah there is awesome Jrps on the ps3 that because the Xbox failed in japan so Microsoft stop supporting the typical Japanese games. the start of 360 had awesome jrpgs like Tales of Vesperia and blue dragon. That was the start of the decline for xbox when they started throwing away 1st party games for me, letting studios like Mist walker and Bungie go away from the, Not to hard to imagine what happen at Bungie, they demanded more Halo and Bungie refused. I think the rumors that Microsoft were dishing out hung amounts of money after they reveal to get exclusives is a sign that Titan is a timed exclusive.

          • Kris King

LOL. I am not a gamer. Funny I have been playing video games for over 20 years. Nope not a gamer. How am I a xbox fanboy? I said I am happy with my PC & 360. I play plenty of games for the PC. Though your opinion does not matter.

          • paul rolland

So true I haven’t played my 360 since Halo 4 (Big let down)

          • Skode

Which ones? Im not trolling im just curious because besides from The Last of Us all the console exclusives i see are series established with sequels and then some and of them most just go multiplat in the end such as Bioshock, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy.

          • Dylan

Heavy Rain, Journey, Beyond Two Souls, Infamous, Rain, LittleBigPlanet, MLB the Show.
Not to mention, the entire independent scene is focusing the PS4 as the primary next-gen console.

Microsoft wants the safe route, the constant sequel. It is why they lost Bungie. All they ever wanted was a new Halo game.

Bungie didn’t want that, and Microsoft wouldn’t publish.

Meanwhile at Naughty Dog, they can make any game they want.

Microsoft is too reliant on established series. Halo has been around a long while, and Gears of War has been milked to mediocrity (similarly as God of War, which is now on indefinite hold).

They almost never do something NEW.
            That’s all I want.

Microsoft hasn’t had a new IP since Alan Wake. I loved that game.
Yet we haven’t seen new, unique games like that in a long while, and it sucks.

Point is, they’re still supporting the platform.
Uncharted started on the PS3, and its still incredibly fresh.

I hate Metal Gear, always have, lets not talk about that haha.

Games like Demon’s Souls were successful risks, on the platform, and eventually did well enough to have multiplatform sequels like you mentioned.

          • roozbeh

            Isnt infamous a series?
I do agree about the 360 lacking in new exclusives though.

          • Dylan

Yeah I guess with the new game on PS4, it is a series now.

          • roozbeh

No. Infamous 1 and 2 were on the ps3. I will admit sony has more new Ips but they also love to do sequels. Guess u don’t have a ps3 do you?

          • Dylan

            I do.

Having two games isn’t a series. After their third, then its a series.

I never said Sony didn’t do sequels. But they also don’t dilute the brand into mediocrity.

          • roozbeh

Okay I will agree to the first part. But didnt u yourself say god of war.

          • Dylan

Yep. And its on hold, they’re making the new IP Order:1666 whatever that is

          • roozbeh

I believe its 1886. 1666 was supposedly a ubisoft game that got scraped. The xbox one is also getting alot of new ips now

          • roozbeh

But now that I think. You’re wrong about the first part. Take red dead for instance. Two games but its classified as a series.

          • roozbeh

Plus I have to add journey is an indie.

        • Alexander Boyd

I think he is talking about exclusives which Xbox is lacking compared to the PlayStation but with this new Xbox President that should all change.

  • Samuel Herrera

If TitanFall sells enough copies and becomes a commercial success you can be sure that Microsoft will pay top dollar to keep the franchise console exclusive to Xbox.

    • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

titafall is certainly going gold or platinium (whatever they call it now) in a week.

      • beardyman3218

I think they call them classics now.

        • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

really, after they sell a million or was it 100k they use to call it platinium hit !? classic sound more like republishing a game that was popular or, to me at least, refer more to 80s game

  • kannibalZZ

    definitely getting this…

  • kannibalZZ

by the way… looking for a replacement for Don Mattrick? GO GET J ALLARD BACK!!

    • StrikeSudden

No thanks he made a lot of false promises to.

    • Karl Cramer

I will never forget during the 360 launch when J Allard laid down on the stage, propped up his head with one hand, like y’know friends just relaxing and hanging out, and talked about the Xbox 360. That image still makes me cringe.

      • Dylan

I remember that, but I don’t think it was at the launch E3.

I miss Peter Moore, he’s the one that turned the brand into something great.

No coincidence that Mattrick took over in late 2007, and Microsoft has been lacking in VISION on the platform/brand ever since.

        • Karl Cramer

It was on “Xbox 360 Revealed!” on MTV, hosted by Elijah Wood.

  • Joshua Guss

Now Sony made their PS4 go down another hundred dollars to $399.00. Trying to get more XBOX fans to leave XBOX and buy a PS4…I don’t care if they went down to $1.00, I’m still not leaving XBOX and buying a PS4.

    • Does Not Equal

Now you can play the award-winning Titanfall.

    • Disturbed_Court_Jester

Another hundred dollars? It’s still 399.00 the same price it’s been.

      • Joshua Guss

My bad, I meant they took their PS4 cameras away, and went down to $299.00.

        • usrev

what are you smoking, the price is $400 it hasn’t changed. sony wouldn’t lower their prices when they are destroying the competition, surprised they are still accepting preorders.

    • paul rolland

      I feel sorry for you ;-;

      • roozbeh

Its his preference. You cant say anything about it

  • usrev

what you don’t mention is many games were disqualified, like the witcher 3 because they were not playable by the judges. Titan fall looks fun, don’t get me wrong, but not anywhere near as good as the praise it is getting.

from the website “Please note the following games were not made playable to Game Critics judges and therefore disqualified from award consideration: The Division; Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain; The Witcher III; Super Smash Bros. Wii-U. In addition, the judges did not find a sufficient number of nominees to award “Best Fighting Game” and “Best Motion Simulation Game” at E3 2013.”

    • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

not being able to play the game is quite a good reason

      • usrev

I’m not saying it isn’t but of course titanfall will win a lot when the best games shown were not playable, the witcher 3 won a lot of awards from other websites and the division was probably the most exciting new IP shown.

        • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

i agree that the other game were great too. but titanfall does diserve good critic for what we have seen so far. Isn’t it great that we have so many great game to debate about that lol

          • usrev

after the mediocrity from xbox 360 the last 4 years having any exclusive that isn’t kinect halo or gears is a great thing.

          • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

i always feel that “exclusive” game is a freaking stupid concept. The only point to have exclusive is to attrack player (from a business point of you). On the player point of you, it’s just a way to divide people, reduce your freedom of choice (because if you want a game badly, youll stick with the console instead of having the choice) So personnally, i see no point in xbox 360 having exclusive game since they are already the king in term of sell and it’s good to know that games are available to more people.

  • mata7

and how many awards Sony won at e3 you forgot to mention that

    • Does Not Equal

      Why would that matter here?

  • Dylan

That article was way before E3…

  • Mystictrust

Dude, that’s an analyst talking about what he thinks some good price points would be. WTF?! Seriously, the PS4 is $399.
    Reading comprehension FTL

  • Dylan

Apparently those rumors of TitanFall being a timed console exclusive could be true.

While it may be a long while before it comes to the PS4, it seems like, it it is a success, it will.

    Respawn:
Regarding the possibility of Titanfall on PS4, he said: “It’s definitely not out of the question, we have a huge appreciation for the fans. Coming out and showing it to everybody, we’re super nervous and wanted to make sure everybody loved it. We love all our fans, whatever console they support. So yeah. We want to make everybody happy, but this is where we’re at right now.”

    http://www eurogamer net/articles/2013-06-12-will-titanfall-ever-come-to-playstation-respawn-and-ea-weigh-in

    • Xhawk27

If it does won’t be until at least a year. MS didn’t spend a lot of money only to have it for six months.

      • Dylan

        I agree.

Whenever the contract expires, I could see them releasing it to ps4. To build the audience for TitanFall 2

        • usrev

they might do it like mass effect and just let titanfall 2 come out on ps4 without the original then make the original later. I doubt it will be exclusive for long though it also depends on how hard it is to port to ps4.

    • dante

maybe 2015 to long for me

  • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

    please take the red pill

  • Dylan

I don’t think you understand how that works.

It isn’t about getting Microsoft’s permission, not like Mass Effect (where they published).
It’s about when the contract is up.

TitanFall could be on PS4, it could be on anything they want to. Even Wii U (but who would want to do that haha)

Anyone can put up a server, PS4 has cloud computing as well.

    • EighteenCharacters

PS4 has a game archive. it’s a lot different than the “cloud” that Microsoft and Titanfall will be using.

      • Dylan

Yes, but that wasn’t my point.

They can do it on any platform, they could even do it on the original xbox if they wanted to.

Any console is capable of cloud computing.

        http://www polygon com/2013/6/12/4424022/sony-shuhei-yoshida-says-ps4-cloud-computing-calculations

        • beardyman3218

          PS1?

          • Dylan

If the PS1 had an online connection, yeah it could.

      • Dylan

For the record, I think making it easy and cheap for developers to use, like Microsoft is apparently doing, is a great thing.

  • Karl Cramer

Left 4 Dead was also on PC. Still considered an Xbox exclusive since it never showed up for any other console.

    • Dylan

      Considered a console exclusive.

  • Volitar Prime

Which is going to be the best version? Obviously the XB360 will be the weakest of the three as far as graphics and effects but will that really matter much? Will the PC version be noticeably better than the XBOne version (or vice versa)?

    • Dylan

It’ll be running on a 10 year old game engine by then, so who knows.

      • Volitar Prime

Well, hopefully the XBOne version will be substantially better looking than the XB360 version to help justify the $500 price for the new system. It won’t be much of a system seller if the average person doesn’t see the difference.

  • usrev

you act as if azure means anything for the game, it’s just a dedicated server hosted by MS EA has their own servers for ps4 they would just use their own.

    • slasaru

That could be some online engine as well
We do not know all details

      • usrev

it isn’t anything special. MS just has a really good server system now, but it’s a game and games have ran on servers (at least on pc) for like a decade now, there is nothing special about titanfall or xbox one that means the game COULD NOT run on ps4 or other systems.

  • paul rolland

Emslie Said there no reason why it cant be on the ps4, “We haven’t communicated anything on that, and I can’t comment on that right now,”so I think its a timed exclusive, as a software designer I cant see how you can use the cloud to do much processing at the moment when you consider the bandwidth of most country’s. plus if azure is needed so badly how is it working on PC? that wont be using azure

    • slasaru

Using azure is just a matter of rent
It might be much cheaper than having their own servers
I see no reason why MS Windows game cannot use MS Azure
Boy, even Sony could use it, but seems like a matter of reputation

    • roozbeh

Actually the pc version will use azure

  • Lord Vanion

Definitely looking forward to this title. The power of the cloud could make this game huge in itself although it remains to be seen how much it will benefit titles.

    • paul rolland

I really dont see how they Cloud is going to do anything, apart from crash the game when you get a data spike or lag from other people signing into the network. if they game was really design to use the cloud system of Xbox one it wouldn’t be on PC as well. there really isn’t a lot of computing aspects the cloud can do

      • beardyman3218

Never since i have had my 360 has people signing in caused me lag i think your just trying to put the game or the console down before either are even out yet.

      • Lucas Sanches Cestari

the cloud can be used to make better AI and… those things… idk much about the cloud

      • roozbeh

Dedicated servers. Pc had that. Now xbox has it on titanfall. Thats the difference. Less lag and fairer multiplayer sessions.

  • Skode

Im not that big a shooter fan but this game made even me stop and go “wow”. I was sold as soon as i saw the mechs and the free running personally.

    • beardyman3218

It’s like all the coolest things ever just brought together and mixed in a way that made me slobber all over myself.

  • beardyman3218

It’s a microsoft exclusive, runs on xbox 360 and windows both owned by MS.

  • beardyman3218

I hope these titans stamp all over cod.

  • Bennijin

It looks great but I fear being multiplayer only may turn it into another Shadowrun.

I am definitely bookmarking this page and sharing it with my

There seem to be a lot of rumours saying Titanfall is a timed exclusive and will be going to PS4 in the future. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this ?

    • roozbeh

no official statements from ea. everything for now is just assumptions.

    • Dylan

    • Costas

Even if it’s a timed exclusive, Titanfall will boost XB1′s sales and MS will pay good money to keep it .
I would get it for PC if I were you. (or 360)

      • wings of a badger

I will be getting it on my one but was just curious as to Respawns position. Thanks fella.

        • Costas

          Np. Me 2

    • Costas

      Respawn’s article:
”I personally talked to both Microsoft and Sony and explained that we need to find a way to have potentially hundreds-of-thousands of dedicated servers at a price point that you can’t get right now. Microsoft realized that player-hosted servers are actually holding back online gaming and that this is something that they could help solve, and ran full-speed with this idea.

The Xbox group came back to us with a way for us to run all of these Titanfall dedicated servers and that lets us push games with more server CPU and higher bandwidth, which lets us have a bigger world, more physics, lots of AI, and potentially a lot more than that!”

  • fastharryDOTcom

you guys all have it wrong…..this isn’t about xbox one versus PS4 and the games….It is about AZURE and MS’s ability as a server/software company to use it now and in the future as technologies develop and Sonys acquisition of Gakai and its ability to use that in whatever capacity they choose..be it just streaming as they are saying now or computations in the future….

And to be honest…I would have to place the bet on Microsoft…their ambitions are grander, their ability to implement technology now and in the future is WAY better…and the AZURE data network eats Gakais for breakfast..

  • Dylan

    Uh…no.

Your first two sentences are completely wrong.
Unlike Halo, EA is publishing this game. Not Microsoft. They can put it on whatever platform they want.

Microsoft likely paid big bucks to make it a timed exclusive, like the GTA DLC’s and things like that.

The server comment you made, is completely correct. They’d have to put it up servers. Unless Gaikai is capable of more than just streaming games.

Expect TitanFall to be on the other console in 2 years, and sequels to be multi-platform.

    • Jeremy Filth

      “They said exclusively on XB1″

But the game is also on Pc.
      hmm..
