  • Brady Nickell

Happy i dl the game saved me $62 bucks for not getting dead rising 3…Now to cancel my pre-order and find a new game…

    • roozbeh, again

You rather have dead rising 2 over 3?

      • Brady Nickell

neither the timed game play is stupid

        • evilfangs .

Dead rising 3 won’t have any time limit.

Edit: It does have a mode called Nightmare mode which is timed like DR1 and DR2 for older fans, but normal mode is without limits.

          • Brady Nickell

really hmmm one more question. Can you have guns all the time or will you have to find them and limited ammunition?

          • evilfangs .

I don’t know but from the gameplay footage I saw, he picked up a SAW machine gun and after a while it broke once it ran out of ammo. I guess like it does now on DR2.

          • Brady Nickell

Ok thanks for the info. I wanted a zombie shooter guess this isn’t it :-(

          • martin_m95

why its way more fun to crack a zombies head that shoot it

          • Nick Peck

Agreed :D Melee is fun unless there is a massive horde. Yes, once you find and or build weapons they get stored in lockers which you can then go and get.

Also, why write a game off when you really have no idea of what it is like yet? We only know a small tidbit of info about it right now and I’m sure we will see and read plenty more before it comes out.

Day one for me no doubt. Also, check out the new video for Dying Light, that game looks fantastic in it’s alpha stage. Just from that video alone it went from a “sort of interested” into a day one “must buy” for me.

          • evilfangs .

Oh I also remember seeing once you pick a gun up it’s stored in a locker inside your safe house.

          • Liquidfx Xboxdude

lol also ask him how the ending is and what twists arise.

          • Will Muscat

I hope it’s find them, half the fun is using the weapons you find not having everything handed to you.

          • Marcus W.

Awesome. Always hated timed games. Can’t believe people downvoted a person hating timed missions/games. To me it’s like hating on a guy who hates “protect the NPC” missions…

        • Likmaaraanmijnlollypop

Dead Rising 3 has no time limits. It was confirmed by Capcom I think.

        • Liquidfx Xboxdude

i really hated the time thing in 1 and 2. totally lame.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

    meh….see….meh
DR:Off the Record would have been a better choice but its cool to get one dlc and a game for free, kind of, maybe. no it sucks. these are poor choices. whatever, its not like smart choices are being made anywhere by MS these days. sorry but it is true.

    • martin_m95

      great more whining

      • Not_A_PC_Gamer

More whiners whining about more whiners I see..

        • martin_m95

you do realise your whining aswell right

          • Not_A_PC_Gamer

Wrong, I am “POINTING OUT” the whiners, not whining about them like you just did. Not a big deal really, just saying..

          • martin_m95

yeah ok but i have a very good reason to whine against those whining about free stuff dont you think

          • Nick Peck

Again, you can’t give anyone anything without them thinking “i wanted that instead, or this isn’t good enough”..

I can only hope that most of the cry babies are young people so that when they do get into “real life” and it kicks them in the face, I can then laugh and say “hey, take what you can get and enjoy it, nothing in life is really free”.

Life can suck at times. But if these cry babies are adults??? Umm, there isn’t really anything nice that can be said about that.

          • Not_A_PC_Gamer

Yeah nothing against you personally bro.. you have a point as well and I acknowledge that.

          • Marcus W.

If you can’t see that you are indeed whining at the whiners who whine at the whiners, then I pity you…

          • roozbeh, again

            Getting a bit too complex

          • Not_A_PC_Gamer

Oh please man…and now you are the whiner who is whining at guy who pointed out the whiner whining about another whiner! LOL

    • roozbeh, again

      My sarcastic meter got busted.

  • Not_A_PC_Gamer

Anyone here know if Capcom is going to keep DR3, DR1, Case Zero and Case West exclusive to the xbox brand? I would rebuy all these for PS4 if possible.

    • martin_m95

dr3 is a xbone exclusive as far as i know

      • Not_A_PC_Gamer

Yeah, I know it is now but I’m just wondering if it is really timed. Thx for the reply though.

        • Nick Peck

Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this yet but I’m guessing if it is only timed, it won’t be out for a few years on anything else at least. But I’m just guessing, I’m sure once everything is out and going full steam there might be a nugget of info that will answer that for you :D

        • Marcus W.

          Answer: Microsoft is DR3′s publisher.

          • Dylan

And so was Mass Effect. Then it came in the trilogy version.

So it isn’t impossible. Just not likely.

Since Capcom has Call of Duty type of expectations, they might have to port it to get the numbers they want.

          • roozbeh, again

But ms hasn’t sold the rights to another publisher yet. And the way they are being scrutinised I doubt they would sell it this time

          • Dylan

            I’m not saying at launch.

Just saying it isn’t impossible for it to happen eventually.
Honestly, I’d say there’s a better chance of TitanFall going multi-platform eventually

          • roozbeh, again

Right now with xbox brands current reputation I would doubt they would want to lose it.
Titanfall of course has more of a chance being multi platform due to its publisher being EA. But I expect it to be a year timed exclusive at the very least.
Honestly no one has one clue of how everything is going to play out

          • Marcus W.

With the current state of Capcom(and M$ xbox one branch), I would say yeah, it’s impossible.

And you can’t really say that Capcom has CoD type of expectations, that’s a bit overkill. Sure, M$ got high expectations on DR3, but not CoD-like expectations.

          • Dylan

Capcom blatantly said they were aiming to appeal to the COD crowd with this new one.

So I’m guessing they have unreasonable expectations like Square Enix did with Tomb Raider.

          • Marcus W.

Saying they are aiming towards a specific crowd doesn’t really mean that they expect the game to sell like butter packaged with sliced bread.

          • Not_A_PC_Gamer

            Good point!

          • Morris ヅ

MS might have a contracted with claws tho

          • Not_A_PC_Gamer

            LOL you never know right!

          • Morris ヅ

trust, theres alot behind the scene we dont kno lol

      • Not_A_PC_Gamer

        Yeah but here’s to hoping!

    • Dylan

DR1 is an Xbox exclusive and so is DR 3.
Though Capcom tends to flip flop on these things so there’s a chance at DR3 on the PS4 eventually, who knows.

      DR2 is not an exclusive.

Could end up like Mass Effect, where they actually release a trilogy edition on the Playstation, even though ME1 never technically released on that platform.

      • Not_A_PC_Gamer

I hope it happens but won’t count my blessings.

        • Dylan

          Definitely.

    • roozbeh, again

I doubt dr1 will make an appearance on the ps4. Im certain about that at least.
But I do doubt dr3 will come out on the ps4 as I heard ms had financed and helped develop the game.

    • Not_A_PC_Gamer

Why would I get downvoted for asking this question? I was very polite and didn’t attack anyone or the Xbox one? Really? Just because I mentioned PS4 I get downvoted? A lot of us are actually multi console owners after all.

      • m1nh0ca

        Relax, dude.

        This is internet.

      • roozbeh, again

To be fair you did say rebuy. Just wanted to point that out.

  • Seneika

Why would someone down vote a simple comment like this? Geez, tell you about ignorance. @OP: relax and try again later.

  • StonerSmurf420

Omg, no wonder their offering this for free, every dang thing is on a timer, find this find that, oh and theres no map markers u just gotta figre it out 100% on ur own within a specific timeframe, dont forget about giveing ur kid zombex also on a timer on top of other timers u gotta worry about. U like zombie games? Ok heres a hoard of zombies but it next to impossible to find a real weapon…. but we’ll give u a purse or a 2×4 for u to melee them a few times. Seriousely, melee just doese not work in hoard games like this.

    • Does Not Equal

If you’re bad at the game, you should just say so.

      • Dylan

I was going to say the same thing an hour ago, but I figured you’d be around.

        You didn’t disappoint! :)

  • Jonathan Pedroza

Nice how Case Zero isn’t available in my region (Y)

  • Matheus Bica

If Case Zero isnt available at my region why you just simple give something at the same value? is that so hard to do the success formula of psn plus?

What is happening with logic? so my live gold is worst than the american one?

I cant understand how can you put games and anything aditional that is not on all regions… if you want to do a job you do it well, not like this.

Free games for xbox live gold is right to all xbox live gold and not only to some of them.

I would love to see a good job from microsoft at this area. Psn plus a lot better atm.

    • Does Not Equal

Translation: “One free retail game isn’t enough for me; I want another game, too.”

      • m1nh0ca

Why not? At least this would be fair situation for everybody.

“Ah, I’m from US… Microsoft licks my feet. Screw the rest of the world” is not a cool attitude, bro.

        • roozbeh, again

you know in ps plus every region has its own deals and freebies right?

          • Matheus Bica

yes but they are equal, nobody gets more games than other region. They just get different games.

          • roozbeh, again

yes but the quality difference is quite striking some times. like this month.
the us ps plus store’s only worth while game was hitman. europe had mafia 2 and need for speed and much more better games.

but microsoft should do better non the less

          • Matheus Bica

yes, they are, psn games actually are a lot better on europe than america, but they both get same games eventually if not in the same month, a month later or 2. Even, they give something.

          • m1nh0ca

Yes, I heard about this and that’s why people have different accounts.

Anyway, as a Xbox owner (and not interested in a PS3), I care about what we have. So, giving away a region locked / not available game is not fair with every customer and Gold members (which are paying as well).

We know USA is the main market, but if the treatment was similar everywhere else (Live Rewards, Bing Rewards, Region Free games – that is a different situation other than from being available), I’m sure that Xbox could easily head for the top of the podium in this generation.

          • roozbeh, again

i agree with you. but given their track record i expect it to be region free soon.
isnt live rewards available in some parts of europe?

        • Seneika

I agree. It’s not about demanding or expecting 2 games “for free” (and we all know they’re not free except, maybe, the alienate fanboys) and it is certainly not about this particular piece of game. It’s about being treated fairly. All regions pay (the same amount, I believe) MS for the gold subscription.

        • Does Not Equal

If that were my attitude, “bro,” your complaint might be valid. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but none of the major game companies does anything even close to “licking feet.” If they did, there would be far fewer complaints.

          • roozbeh, again

            Foot Fetishist companies? Oh god

      • Monstrous Tard

People in other countries pay money for gold also, so why should only Americans get it for free? seems like a dumb way to look at it.

        • roozbeh, again

americans? why only americans? that sounds a wee bit wrong.
exept brazil japan and germany every other region got the dlc

          • Monstrous Tard

Nope, Japan got Resident Evil: Code Veronica instead, Germany got Lost Planet 2 instead and Brazil got Dead Rising 2, but not the DLC for it.

          • roozbeh, again

did germany get dlc for lost planet 2? no.
did japan get dlc for code veronica? no.
werent you guys promised two games a month? this dlc is just a gift that was added to most regions.

          • Matheus Bica

xbox live gold should be the same in any place since everyone pays this, thats the right thing, the logic.

its a lame job, if you sell something you must do the right thing and be equal to all regions, if you dont do that, you are losing. Because Playstation is doing that and here we go, xbox is losing.

I got both videogames and i know what im talking about, psn gives more for less. Microsoft gives less for more. If that doesnt change i dont think im gonna have xbox one here, for sure.

          • Alex Fiedler

But it’s not right, and it’s not logical. Not all regions have the same games, or the same services, or the same laws, thus they are not treated the same.

Playstation does provide games to all PS+ users, and they too provide different choices to regions that do not support the “main titles.”

          • DurtySouth

Amazing, international rules and laws need not apply it we all just join Xbox Live? Come on ppl.

          • roozbeh, again

plus there are 42 regions on xbox live. 3 regions didnt get this game. what about the other 39 regions? they are american too?

          • Monstrous Tard

Actually more than just 3 didn’t get the DLC, I’m talking about the regions that are receiving the same games from Games with Gold as the US is getting, but didn’t get the DLC or in some cases it is popping up as free but when they click download they get a “this is not supported in your region” message and I’m American btw.

          • roozbeh, again

there’s is a few reasons for that happening you know. such as that content not being provided in those countries.
plus the only country that is the way you speak of seems to be brazil

          • Seneika

“plus the only country that is the way you speak of seems to be brazil” I didn’t get your point here. In no other countries except Brazil the DLC isn’t available and is not being substituted for something else?

          • roozbeh, again

I meant the only officially supported country that is not getting case zero or any compensation for it.
The dlc seems to be not available in brazil.

          • Disturbed_Court_Jester

At least 4 if you count Africa.

          • roozbeh, again

africa? the entire continent? except for south africa none of the countries of africa are supported

          • DaWhiteBrotha

Plus they are out looking for food. Africans have no time to play games.

Well Microsoft could give an Arcade version of Burgertime I guess.

        • Does Not Equal

You got a retail game. Case Zero was basically a glorified demo. Sure, it was fun, but once I started playing DR2, I had no need to ever go back to it (and before you ask, I bought Case Zero when it originally released).

    • mightywombat

If you really want to play Case Zero that bad, I recommend playing Dead Rising 2. I hear they are pretty similar.

  • roozbeh, again

is case zero still region locked?

    • Angloma Andrew

yes, whe can’t download the game , do something about it

      • roozbeh, again

i cant do something about it. i dont work at microsoft.
but given their track record i expect this to be region free very soon

        • AC130

Playing it and it is fun

          • Angloma Andrew

really… MS do something ’bout it

      • baconcheeswhiz89

        unless u a zombie.

    • Lucas Sanches Cestari

OMG I CAN’T DOWNLOAD IT HERE IN BRAZIL =/ but still i liked dead rising 2 =)

  • baconcheeswhiz89

why are people complaining about a arcade game?

    • roozbeh, again

      Funny ain’t it?

  • Maximum Gamer

I’m still waiting for Case Zero,i pay the same price of a american in a gold subscription and why ican’t download this ?

    • Angloma Andrew

      I’m waiting 2

      • martin_m95

        me 2

  • ebonyglock

Or you could buy it when it’s on sale for $10 every other week…

    • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

gta 4 is actually one sale right now. Grab it if you like it =)

  • ilsuuu

Can I play these games after its expires? (If I keep them installed in my HD, of course)

    • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

yes, once you download it, it’s yours. Even if you delete it, it’s still use for re-download if it work like any other purchase.

    • DaveF

Yes, they are yours forever, even if you no longer have xbox live gold.

    • roozbeh, again

Yes they are. Heck even if you delete them from your hdd you can still redownload it

  • GmailIsDown

i totally ran out of disk and usb storage spaces. is there a usb hub thingy i can use to allow xbox 360 to use more usb storage devices?

    • Dylan

Yes. Here you go (fill in dots in link). I don’t know whether it works well or not.

      http://www amazon com/Flexible-4-Port-Splitter-Cable-Playstation-Nintendo/dp/B003V3GW82/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376784172&sr=8-1&keywords=usb+hub+xbox+360

      • GmailIsDown

thanks! it does not seem to work with flash drives according to the reviews but i think i can hook up multiple controllers using just one usb port.

        • Michael Burden

I don’t think that will help you, as I tried that and only 1 USB storage is recognized at a time if I remember correctly. You’ll have to swap them out to change them. But any USB hub will work, powered ones are better as they will charge your controller with the Play and Charge cable. The non-powered ones usually don’t.

          • GmailIsDown

thank you. i think a while ago Major announced that the number of USB devices supported were going to be 2. not sure if it gets changed again.

            http://majornelson com/2010/03/26/USB-Memory-Support-for-the-Xbox-360-coming-April-6th/

      • Seneika

Do you know how many flash drives can I attach to the xbox 360? I already have a 250GB HDD and a 32GB flash drive. Can I use more 32GB flash drives?

        • GmailIsDown

i have a 320GB HDD and 2 32GB flash drives connected to my 360 slim. not sure if it will support a 3rd one.

          • Seneika

Thanks! I don’t know if it is possible hardware-wise but it would be sooo nice if the X360 received a final system update allowing the plain use of large external drives…

          • Michael Burden

It is definitely possible from the hardware side of things, as shown by the addition of the option to even use USB flash and hard drives, as well as their raising the cap on such devices from 16GB to 32GB. It is a software block the Microsoft put in there to help prevent piracy as well as push people to buy memory sticks and bigger official internal hard drives. I’d be just happy if they released a bigger official hard dive, skip the 500GB and go straight to a 640GB, 750GB, or 1 TB options.

          • http://about.me/chuck.yoder Chuck Yoder

Only two USB drives at a time. I’m almost out of storage space on my 320GB + 32GB. Going to be buying another 32GB USB stick soon but I’m sure that will fill up pretty fast too… Plan to also switch Xboxs to a 4GB model to eak out maximum storage.

          • Korahn

I just delete installed games that I don’t currently play to free up space. Of course, if you’re downloading all your titles from the marketplace I can see how the space gets taken up quickly (It would be annoying to keep deleting/re-downloading games). But yeah, having the ability to add external drives would be great.

        • Dylan

Yeah I’m sorry I’m not sure. I just know there are 3 slots.

I think you can only use 2 flash drives.

  • Alicia

Can I play with two other people online for dead rising 2? I can play me and one other person but can I add a third?

    • Dylan

Unfortunately you can’t. 2 players max.

      • Alicia

        Oh ohk, Thank you.

        • Dylan

          Yeah, no problem.

  • martin_m95

    ok still region locked

    • jimmyrespawn

It’s region free now. You can try downloading it again.

      • martin_m95

for me its stil region locked

        • Guest

why does it matter if its region locked? are you acquiring items from other marketplaces for free using falsified information to procure these items?

          • disqus_XUoFW32HOz

no I don’t, I have 1 account im from the us and I use a us based account. I see a lot of people hold many accounts in different countries and do license transfers. to me its as good as stealing

        • disqus_XUoFW32HOz

why would it matter if its region locked, are you using falsified information as a way to make accounts in different regions to aquire these free items?

          • roozbeh, again

there are 196 countries in the world. only 42 have official xbox live support. what about the rest?
i myself live in one of those countries. i haven’t falsified any information due to the fact i had a place in the usa and uk. why shouldn’t i get the content? tell me i would love to know

          • disqus_XUoFW32HOz

Because if you were intended to have it in your region Microsoft would have released it in your region. plain and simple. idc if you pay for live everyone on live does, but do I make an account for japan or Taiwan because I feel like they owe me one of the free games from that region?? no because that’s called fraud. like it or not your a criminal imo but then again why does my opinion matter I didn’t make falsified accounts only u did and your apparently the one that’s correct in this case

          • martin_m95

i pay the same amounth of gold as people from supported countries so i deserve the free game

          • Jan Václavík

People are traveling between countries, even Microsoft acknowledges the fact in its late Xbox One press release.
Sure, you could migrate your account into a country you are currently in, but it can only be done once every three months (which means you may face the same problems once you get home) and you may lose some of your past purchase during the region change.
Case Zero is clearly not worth the problems, but at the same time, people are disappointed and it makes them wonder about Xbox One.

          • martin_m95

why dont ms make it 3 days instead of 3 months

          • Jan Václavík

Its meant mostly for people (permanently) moving from one country to another. They don’t want people to switch region every week depending on local deals / difference in prices etc.

Sounds more like an issue with your network settings, either on your Xbox or your local network. This is the type of stuff that’s tested before the game even ships. I haven’t had any issues. In this case it might also be the person you’re trying to connect with. The game’s co op works though. You can even do it in the SP and select the name. If you’re not getting it to work, try a different partner. In all seriousness, I had a friend who couldn’t connect to another friend of mine til we sat down and figured out which one’s network was buggy. And yes, the person who was at fault had a buggy network. -Adam

in all honesty case zero really isnt that much worth it seems.

        • Dylan

    • ilsuuu

      Still locked in Brazil

  • Mr_Factual

The next games that should be free next month are Lost Planet 2 because of its co-op multiplayer campaign and Resident Evil 4 w/ DLC. Lost Planet 3 is coming out so it would be smart for Capcom to allow this game to be given away for free and it would be a great multiplayer game for the games for gold program.

    • Dylan

Good idea. But Capcom very rarely does this kind of thing.

      • Michael Burden

Dead Rising 2? But I seriously doubt that another Capcom game will be in next month’s Games with Gold, and definitely not two of them. More than likely it will be another 3rd party game and another Microsoft Studios game.

        • Dylan

Yes and they rarely do this kind of thing. So I wouldn’t hold a breath for Lost Planet.

          • Liquidfx Xboxdude

besides i got it for all of $4 so yeah.

    • martin_m95

i didnt even know re4 had dlcs

      • Mr_Factual

        meant resident evil 5

    • AC130

Lost Planet 2 is free for some countries. And Re5 is forgettable try the older ones I hear they are much better.

  • roozbeh, again

      • disqus_XUoFW32HOz

you weren’t intended to get it

  • m1nh0ca

    Cool!

  • disqus_XUoFW32HOz

up until the games for gold promotion we were paying for a online service, and that hasn’t changed. so yes this game is free to people who pay for xbox live

    • DawaBnu

Yeah, but not really. For example, gold was just for games, then they added acess to video services – they expanded the service, it’s not like these services are for free. I bet you some people started paying for gold only because of the free games. Technically, even though it’s a promotion, It’s part of the service provided by xbox live, (and, in return, they are getting more costumers – it has a great value for them, marketing-wise). It may be “free” for you, because you sign it for the online service only, but don’t be fooling yourself, it’s price is now “restrained” (sorry, couldn’t find a better word) within the product named xbox live gold (just like PS+ doesn’t give free games, because you are actually paying for it). Just because the price hasn’t changed doesn’t mean a thing – as well as the price didn’t change when they added video services and such -, they are just expanding the service. And yeah, that makes a difference when you think about consumer laws, at least in the country I’m currently living in (Brazil).
