Very excited for this! I loved the original! One of my favorite games to date!

  • Bush O Connor

one of the hardest games i’d ever played all those years ago.
remember when this was one of the best looking games around and gamesmaster was on the tv.

  • Death Dealer

Can’t wait to get home and play this!

  • Spazicle

    boobs

    • Gazza!!!

      Nice

    • roozbeh, again

      tits

why did i get involved in this?

  • ElektroDragon

Almost 2GB… Microsoft you NEED to make a larger than 320GB hard drive available for the 360!!

    • Death Dealer

No, MS just needs to allow fair use of external storage media like on the Xbox One. Problem solved.

      • usrev

or, you know, allow you to use any laptop drive in your xbox like ps3. just put a 500gb in my ps3 and only cost me $50.

the 360 hard drives are just laptop drives with a file in them to let it be read by the 360. it’s ridiculous that they only allow 320gb max (for the slim) the prices are also outrageous as a 250gb hard drive is about the same price as a 1TB hard drive for ps3/laptops

        • Death Dealer

It’s not a file, it’s an Xbox specific File System. For the Xbox 360 it could be done by allowing an XFAT formatting tool to partition larger 2,5″ HDDs, or just integrate that into the next OS update so you just plug the new drive in (encased in the special case).
The OS recognizes third party formatted drives right now and disables BC for example (because it’s basically a clone image of a partition from another drive with a different serial number), which could be avoided that way.

It’s not going to happen for the Xbox One though. The harddrives have specific performance requirements and both operating systems are installed on it. Removing it would thus cause problems. It’s a design choice, therefor the unlimited use of external drives in return.

        • ElektroDragon

You CANNOT put a larger than 320GB drive in the Xbox 360, you will get banned from Live if you try it and 360 won’t recognize it.

          • ElektroDragon

Two downvotes? Wow, you guys are clueless. Go ahead and try it then. Put a larger than 320GB hard drive in a 360 that has not been hacked. You need a special security sector, custom drive firmware, etc, its just NOT POSSIBLE.

          • Michael Burden

I don’t think that is why you were downvoted – it is probably because you failed to comprehend the post to which you were replying. His post was for Microsoft to update the firmware on the 360 to allow for 3rd party and bigger hard drives (which CAN be done if Microsoft wished to do so), making it the same as upgrading a hard drive on the PS3. He was not suggesting that people just go out and use off the shelf hard drives, it was a request or wish that Microsoft would update the system to allow this. That and your attitude displayed more than likely didn’t help either.

          • ElektroDragon

Ok well, that makes more sense. I fully support that approach.

      • ElektroDragon

No… won’t work. USB 3.0 is fast enough to run games from external storage, but the USB 2.0 in the 360 is NOT fast enough for that. So we NEED a much bigger 360 hard drive model of at least 500GB, 750GB, or 1TB like I have in my PS3.

        • Death Dealer

That’s not true, I run a LOT of games from USB drives.

          • ElektroDragon

Try running an actual Games on Demand or an installed disc game. It won’t work well. Small XBLA games sure, they go right into memory.

          • VisageOfAnAngel

I run most of my Games on Demand from two 16 GB pen drives. Works perfectly.

          • Michael Burden

I’ve played Dirt 2 and Grid both from USB drives with no performance problems whatsoever. Runs the same as it did on the hard drive, and I’m not even using the MS approved USB drives which my Xbox said would have performance issues when I formatted them (they don’t). After those games passed the test, I’m planning on stocking up on a few more of those 32GB SanDisk drives to offload a few more games from my hard drive and free up some space.

          • KesMonkey

I play several different GoD games from USB drives without any issue.

    • DurtySouth

How did I ever survive 6 years on my paltry 60GBs?

      • Dylan

I’ve survived 5 years with 15 GB. Darn Halo 3 Xbox.

        It’s been a nightmare that’s for sure.

      • evilfangs .

I’m the same, 6 years on Xbox 360 with my original Xbox 360 and 60GB hard drive, I have 19GB left which I made space for GTA 5.

  • Sean Mccoy

is there going to be anymore spaces for beta testers

    • Death Dealer

Beta testers for what? The dashboard update should launch tomorrow with the MSP phase out.

      • Ivanx360xpira

tomorrow? r y sure? then I think this game was the last thing I bought using points…well, I´ll miss the points…

      • michael mashburn

isnt gonna be out tomrrow so wrong

        • Death Dealer

It’s supposed to, that’s why I said it “should”.

          • michael mashburn

            duh

          • michael mashburn

            such noobs these days

    • Bush O Connor

i just got an Alpha code for Command and Conquer

  • roozbeh, again

blast from the past. so worth the money

  • Ivanx360xpira

Ign gave it 5.8 and for me was an indicative that this would be a great game. Played the trial and really like it, plus the original game to come as a bonus is also a great thing! Really enjoying it now!

  • Nathanzz

    Best. Genesis Game. Ever!

  • Flawless

    they ruined this game.

  • roozbeh, again

there goes another classic down the drain

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

first you said it was worth the money and then you said classic down the drain. was it cool at first and then just bottomed out? i am too busy playing saints row4 to try it.

      • roozbeh, again

i thought it would be worth the money cause its a classic, it aint. not by a long shot

        • Bush O Connor

like turtles in time? man they destroyed that game

          • roozbeh, again

exactly, just a tad bit worse

        • Liquidfx Xboxdude

thanks for the heads up. i was going to buy it blindly but now i will play the demo.

    • Dylan

Yeah the reviews are awful, highlighting the glitches and controls.

I was going to tell people that but I figured I’d get downvoted all day.

      • roozbeh, again

you seem to be a little pessimistic. why is that?

        • Dylan

I get downvoted a lot for random stuff.

          Whatever, just shill behavior anyway.
There was a lot of that when the policies went down, same times of the day too, darn astro turfing.

          • evilfangs .

They’re only down votes lol. Just ignore them man, they mean nothing.

      • kingcrusher

If you voice your opinion, you’ll get downvoted, it’s just that simple. Don’t be afraid of taking a few hits. All opinions are valid if they are presented respectfully, even if they don’t agree with the popular view.

My “unpopular” stance is that I will wait to get an XBox 1 (and a PS4) until I see them in action and see what truths we’ve been told. I want them both, but will allow all the first day buyers to be the test subjects lol.

Keep posting your thoughts. Don’t let others prevent you, even if it means a few downvotes :-)

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

i was a kid when the original came out and i couldn’t make it past first stage. lol maybe i was just a dumb kid :)

  • Simon Turner

absolutely adored this game on snes back in the day and it hasn’t lost its sense of suspense or intrigument, love it

  • ElektroDragon

    Wow, this game is awesome!
