The link says ‘Add the free game to your XBOX 360 download queue’. The page says $14.99. Should it be free for Gold members?

    • Nick

      Why would it be free?

      • wdkunkel

They changed the wording in the link now ‘add the game trial…’ used to say ‘add the free game’ hence why I thought it would be free (or free to gold members).

    • evilfangs .

      No it isn’t a free game. It’s £9.99 or $15.

  • mattybeard

    DuckTales Ooooh Ooooh

  • evilfangs .

I was going to buy this but then I heard it still uses the D-pad to move. If this is true, I think I’ll just stick with my NES version.

I have had the same controller for years, it’s basically dead, and the d-pad, dear God even a new working controller d-pad is hard, let alone mine. The amount of pressure I’ve to put on my d-pad to hit up is crazy.

    • Kenzibit

Seriously?? Why D-pad? Then I ain’t buying either till a proper explanation by someone who has been introduced to it. Will hold on.

      • Dylan

        It isn’t true.

      • Does Not Equal

Or you could self-confirm before reacting.

      • Liquidfx Xboxdude

are you feeling ok today? check for high fever because you must be loosing it to think a game would only use the d-pad. this isn’t the 1980s.

        • Kenzibit

@liquidfxxboxdude:disqus it’s a question that I asked stupid arse. I heard a rumor and I asked what’s this supposed to do with high fever? Go check ur mom’s

    • Riddick Snipes

Really!!! Guess what??. BUY A CONTROL PAD!! Jeez. Or better yet buy a t- dpad off eBay and change it yourself!

      • O Mosqueda

Or even better, disassemble it and clean carefully the D-Pad membrane with a cotton swab. It’s not like you’ll void the expired warranty.

        • Riddick Snipes

Yeah this will work too but the price of a transforming dpad part on eBay is like 5 bucks. Well worth the price and infinitely more accurate.

      • evilfangs .

I never wanted to buy a new controller. I know my controller was near dead because I have used it for nearly 6 years. Sadly I was forced to buy one for GTA 5, as my d-pad was just dead and GTA 5 uses the d-pad a lot. Got one of them transforming d-pad controllers.

    • Korahn

Played the demo. Analog stick works fine for movement. I’m sure you can use the D-Pad instead if you so choose though.

      • evilfangs .

I would have tried the demo before I posted but Marketplace and downloads haven’t been working all day. Some stupid error which Microsoft has apparently been trying to fix all day.

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

have you ever thought of investing in a new controller. I get a new one each year. look for some deals and you could get one for $35 or so.

  • Fernando Costa

Wow, a month later than other platforms… Way to suppport what little users you still have, Microsoft.

    • evilfangs .

We got Turtles before PS3, they got DuckTales. They’re not only getting Turtles.

      • Fernando Costa

Whatever, got it on Steam on the same day. My loyalty is to no one!

      • Bennijin

I think we got the raw end of that deal.

      • O Mosqueda

Poor PS3 users, they got a crappy game later while having a great game instead, we XB360 users are so lucky.

      • Liquidfx Xboxdude

lucky them. I bought it day one and quickly realized that I had been cheated. I miss the old tmnt from the 90s. not these knock off POS ugly turtles. it is a disgrace. not many remakes are any good except for Judge Dredd. That was an awesome movie, but then again, the first one was terrible, though I watched it a million times in my youth.

        • Liquidfx Xboxdude

          sorry, that was random.

    • Daryl Aiken

Summer of Arcade was going on. They were clearly just spreading out the arcade games. It has nothing to do with not supporting their users.

      • O Mosqueda

Some way to support us! I didn’t like this year’s SOA. It was poorly presented and the main game was the worst of the whole bunch. And I don’t think any will be close to be a blockbuster.
I’m not saying they’re bad, just saying they are not that good.

        • kftgr

          Brothers was excellent though.

      • Bennijin

Summer of Overpriced and/or Overrated Timed Exclusive Tripe was no excuse for delaying a game people actually wanted to play. They should have released it on the same day, but they clearly didn’t have enough confidence in Charlie Murder being able to stand up to it.

    • Brian

you’ve got to be kidding. “what little users you still have”? Xbox is still king in the US.

  • loukin

I really want this game why do I have to be poor.

    • evilfangs .

Me too. I have internet, laptop, and Xbox 360, TV. I’m so poor that I’m thinking of moving to an African village to live with the poor children.

      • Sigognac

Poverty is not always where we think. To live in North America without a Computer, nor internet, and without a TV, may exclude yourself from a part of the society that assumes the fact that all of the people is reachable by those media.

Trying to make business or current affairs with the government, the banks, and the majority of shops and services, and even to communicate with ordinary people, becomes very difficult without it, since you will hear “look at our web site”, “send me an e-mail”, “print this form”, “warn me by Facebook”, “I will call you on your cell phone”, “don’t you have internet?”.

So having those ways to act is no more luxury, and do not make sure at all that the person who uses it is rich or even out of poverty.

Note that the costs of those services are excessively higher here (in Canada, at least) than in 52 other countries of the world. Letting less to live.

Sorry for the slightly out-of-subjet precision.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

sorry xbox, got it for $11.99 about 2 weeks ago on PSN. Why can’t MS get deals like that? they are the biggest gaming company so they should be able to do what Sony does. just saying.

  • Nathanzz

To be honest, I always preferred Darkwing Duck. Somebody needs to get to work on a Darkwing Asylum game.

  • SFOpatronangel

I was waiting a long time for this game!!

  • Godfrey Chitroll107

Xbox need a urgent policy change, do not want a model steam? steam would put an arcade game ever at that price, over 9 € for an arcade game is unacceptable, 14€ ($ 19) are crazy? had a tremendous illusion to return to play a game I played when I was 6-7 years and I keep great memories, but really 14€? no thanks, I’m not retarded

    • Alex_Atkin_UK

I’m not sure what you are saying. DuckTales on Steam in the UK is £11.99, its actually CHEAPER on Xbox 360 at £9.99. Is this not the case in the euros?

I have seen other multi-platform releases that are priced identical on Steam, PSN and XBLA (but more expensive on Wii U). So no, I don’t think they need to change a thing.

      • Godfrey Chitroll107

£9.99.=11,9€ no are 14,5€, one arcade game has always cost 1200points(9€) so I think if they have to change something, and yes, in steam cost £11.99, but in three weeks will be 50% off, xbox will do the same? i do not think :(

        • Alex_Atkin_UK

True, but SOMETHING has to pay for R&D and subsidising the Xbox One. ;)

Plus I know Steam has a lot of sales but I’m not sure they will knock 50% off a game that soon.

I do agree though, the sales need to be better on Xbox but I think they are learning that. I got Lego Batman 2 and Forza Horizon fairly cheap off Xbox Marketplace recently. Hopefully they will have more sales like that even if it only applies to older games.

          • O Mosqueda

I don’t think it’s just R&D for XBO, it’s also server maintenance, licensing fees (for MS and others, in this case, Disney) and promotion.
Besides, didn’t most of us complained about always-online? Steam relies very much on that.
