  • AwwwFrownyFace

    Not available in Australia? :-(

    • Tyler J

Not available in US either. It will probably release in a few hours.

      • AwwwFrownyFace

Oh good, I can see it in the store but it says unavailable. I’ll check later.

        • Bill

People are already uploading gameplay videos on the Xbox One UPLOAD service. The game must have released somewhere, or it is devs. Why can’t I Download the game too.

      • Esteban Carballo

        No available yet Tyler?

        • Tyler J

I can confirm it is up in the US

          • Nick Peck

I just purchased it via the xbox website, so hopefully it should be installed and ready to go when I get home.

          • Tyler J

The download must be initiated manually for now. Hopefully it will be added in a later update. :(

          • Nick Peck

Yah I forgot about that, to many things “coming” down the road that I wish was already there lol. Oh well.

          • Brian Ghattas

Nick speaks the truth for once.

          • Nick Peck

Not just once, but most of the time. See, I read many sources when I have the chance so I can form an opinion or know the “truth” of any situation instead of taking another forum posters “word” for it or just making up incorrect garbage that suits my needs to get a point across.

If I am wrong I can fully admit it as well (which most people cannot do). I just don’t understand the mentality of people that don’t like a brand or product, but take the time to create an account and bash the company and the fans that enjoy the site. If people took the time they waste on internet hating and applied it to their lives or the “real world”, things might be a bit better than they currently are either overall or just to that persons life.

Video games are fun on any system, but at the same time they are just a luxury, not a need. Enjoy.

          • Brian Ghattas

I do the same thing, Peck.

I don’t want a spycam. You obviously do.

I don’t want to be lumped in with pirates. You and Mitchell Hall had no issues with that at E3.

We have differing opinions. I represent somebody who wants to be treated with dignity and respect for spending his money on video games for 30 years. You represent a toady who would jump off of a cliff with UNSCleric if Don Mattrick asked you to.

      • MacPh1sto

Yes it’s available in the US now.

  • Esteban Carballo

    How many cost?

  • Miles Taven

UK price please?? I wanna know what XBL currency price card I have to buy in town today.

    • Pete

      £9.99

  • ElektroDragon

It’s completely stupid that NZ and Australia get to play this first. Can’t we have a worldwide simultaneous release please?

    • Miles Taven

What time did it release there?? Not available in UK yet and it’s 7.34

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

      thats what she said….

  • Andreas KennstDu

    11,99 EUR in Germany.

    • Ed Harrison

Oh no – that’s £10.05, so you’re being “ripped off” even more than us Brits! :-)

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

ok i am going to try this. apparently its good to some so i will try it.

  • Elan Gabriel

Well, the downloadable demo of this game was lots of fun.

    • StormRaging

Are you being sarcastic or is there actually a demo for this one?

      • Elan Gabriel

        /s

  • Gazza!!!

No kinect voice controls or hand gestures available in my locale(uk). Good game but for once i really wanted to try the kinect with a game.

  • ungeheier

Major, PLEASE get the team to do pre-ordering through the store. I only got to play for a few minutes this morning because I had to wait for the install to happen. Since our X1′s are always on, let us pre-order a few days before, and then have them install whenever theyre available.

    • Evil Bunny Games

I have question with that installation time. Why same games on Xbox One takes up to 10 minutes until you can play. When same game on PS4 needs only 30seconds until you can play? What’s wrong with Xbox One? Even my Xbox 360 installing games faster!

      • Pikachief

The PS4 was specially made with that function in mind as a big feature. The Xbox one did not specially make it to do that so it does not do it as well.

  • Brian

why won’t games auto download and install like they do on 360 if you buy them on the site (at work, for instance)? This makes no sense, considering this was mentioned originally as a huge positive.

    • Ed Harrison

Quite… Given how long games take to download (I’m on 60Mbps connection and Peggle 2 still took around 20 minutes!) I was really hoping for a “buy at work, play when you get home” experience given the “connected standby” on the console. This works for the Windows Phone marketplace with a “send to my phone now” type option, so I really hope this will be coming to the XBox One soon.

  • Jeff

Major, why did MS change their policies on demos with the One? I think one of the best features of the 360 is that every game in the store had a demo. As it is now, there’s several games I’d like to try out, but I refuse to pay up front on a game I’ve never seen before.

    • http://www.majornelson.com Major Nelson

It is (and always has been) up to game developers to do demos for their own games. They’ll be more demos for Xbox One as the platform goes forward.

      • Jeff

Right, as usrev said on the 360, all Arcade games required a demo. Since there’s no distinction anymore, then there’s no more demo requirements as well. Personally, there is almost zero chance of me buying a game like this without taking it for a test drive. I spent $100′s on the old Arcade, including Peggle 1 and its expansion pack. A huge loss for consumers, and I think it will bite developers as well once the market gets more crowded.

        • Evil Bunny Games

Agree with Jeff. I had 82 arcade games on Xbox 360. Always tested them first, before I bought them! I do not buy piggy in bag! :)

      • Evil Bunny Games

When? At the moment Xbox One have ZERO demos. I know that some people doing some work around and searching some demos by BING. But this work around with BING does not work for all users. Outside UK most users get from BING similar answer all the time, “did not find nothing”!
So when Microsoft will actually add demos (demo categoty) for Xbox One users?

        • John Dandell

Kinect Sports, FIFA, NBA Live, Zoo Tycoon, Zumba Fitness and Killer Instinct all have demos right now in the U.S.

          • Evil Bunny Games

I do not live In U.S. We do not have any DEMO in Europe at the moment. There is no demo section, also full games info panel does not have any info about demos. So you can have in USA any good stuff, demos, TV, game lists and anything else, but many of us LIVE in europe and if they want sell xbox one in europe they should start think about it and offer us similar things.

    • usrev

only arcade games had demos, retail games it was optional.

      did that actually change?

  • massline

No leaderboards in a game that is all about getting high scores? Somebody please explain this to me.

  • evilfangs .

So £9.99 = $12 does it? I do hope that $12 is without tax because in the real world where I’m from $12 is about £7.35.

PS: Thank you for yet another demo added to the Xbox one games store!

    • Calmosity

VAT is included in the price yes.

      • Ed Harrison

But is sales tax included in the $12 US price?

        • mcmax3000

No. Prices in North America are almost never listed with tax included. When I bought it yesterday, I was actually charged $13.55, not $11.99.

          • Ed Harrison

Thanks – that’s interesting to know. By my reckoning that makes the “with tax” comparison a lot better ($13.55 is roughly £8.50, which is closer to the £9.99 I paid).

          • mcmax3000

I should note that I’m Canadian, so the tax amount, and conversion will probably be different than comparing to the US.

Also, sales tax is generally different in every state/province over here, so the actual amount will differ depending on where one lives.

          • Ed Harrison

Fair point – thank you. I think the message is that it isn’t as simple as just converting $ to £!

    • Bennijin

This sudden price hike in the UK is a joke. $15 games used to be £9.99.

      • evilfangs .

All “arcade” games have been transferred into the “downloadable” games so most of them now will cost £15.99 but what is annoying is US never seem to pay more or get extra taxes put on them like us in the UK.

        • coip

Oh we get extra taxes tacked on upon checkout. Don’t let t hat $12 price tag fool you. That’s before sales tax is added in.

        • Bennijin

It’s not just the One though, the same is true on 360 now too. Contrast and Blood… something are £11.99 while Mirror of Fate that came out just before is £9.99.
Both are $14.99 in the land of opportunity.

Minecraft is £13.49 while SoulCalibur 2 has the dubious honour of being the most expensive UK XBLA game at £15.99, something it’s certainly not deserving of. Worse, it’s £14.99 on PSN (and had an £11.99 preorder price), which is still too much if you ask me.

  • Jordan Dunn

I had never played peggle, but I bought and downloaded this as soon as nelson’s tweet went out. All I have to say is that the end of the level with music and accomplishments alone make it worth the $12. I have never danced around so much for passing a level in all my life. (BTW it makes it even better with surround sound cranked up lol)

  • beardyman3218

Why is there no trial? Every 360 arcade game had a trial version, why the sudden change?

    • Michael Burden

Because now there are no more “arcade games” on the One, just GAMES.

      • Bennijin

That’s no excuse for not having a demo.

      • Liquidfx Xboxdude

they are still arcade no matter what they choose not to call them.

    • ItzameyaToad

Not every single arcade game had a demo.

  • Lord C Vandingo

Peggle is a great game so I downloaded the sequel today ! Looks like great fun

  • Lord C Vandingo

Any news on when Kinect features will be available in UK?

    • Evil Bunny Games

Kinect features is already available in UK! Check your console region, be sure that your country is UK!

      • mcmax3000

I’m guessing they mean the Peggle 2 Kinect features, because when I boot up Peggle 2 in Canada, I get a message saying the Kinect features are not supported in my region.

        • Lord C Vandingo

your right that’s what i mean , Kinect features on Peggle 2

  • DaeJim

Peggle 2 is so much fun, really awesome! I just miss Leaderboards.. I want to beat my friend scores!

    • ElektroDragon

That’s what video uploads are for now, I guess!

  • LarZen

I miss that almost every game had a demo. It was one of the reasons I liked Xbox Live so much.

    • ElektroDragon

Normally I’d agree, but you need a demo for Peggle 2? REALLY?

      • LarZen

Never heard of Peggle before nr 2 was shown at E3 I think it was. Not the kind of games I play. So a demo to test before I pay would be nice…

        • Brandon K

demo peggle 1 on Xbox 360

          • Liquidfx Xboxdude

lol so true. its almost exactly the same with less features.

        • Calmosity

          Never heard of Peggle? WHAAAT?!?!

      • Liquidfx Xboxdude

yes. its only meh at best to me. just not a fan of THOSE kind of games. with all of you saying that you liked it i thought i might give it a try. i did and it is still peggle. i can’t make myself like it so i am over it.

  • ElektroDragon

Check out my latest epic video “This is how you play”. Sure to please.

  • Stefan Gabbert

Leaderboards were a standard back on the 360. Why throw this away with the one?
On the 360 this was called a arcade game. Why just mix everything up on the one?
It was stupid to buy your console on day one. I should get money from you for betatesting all those stupid ideas.
-Get the marketplace sorted like it was before
-bring back a small dashboard with the xbox button
-let friends, achievements, notifications… not be an app but part of the system so they can be accessed without interrupting the game…like it was before
-make the L and R Trigger less sensitive. It`s horrible, because i push those by accident very often. On the other hand lb and rb are more difficult to push.

There were so many things good on the 360, why take 2 steps back? Seriously!!

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

i like the controller. they just need to hurry and make the dashboard look less like limbo. it is depressing. Does anyone know if I can change the black background?

      • TheRealArgonaut

Not yet, but backgrounds are planned.

        • chillgreg

Everything is “planned”. What exactly have they been doing for 7 years??

          • TheRealArgonaut

            Beats me… :D

  • Pete

Public Service Announcement: I spotted part of the issue yesterday. It’s easy to just overtype the region in the address bar from en-US to en-GB and this used to work (for cheeky comparing of international prices). It doesn’t work so well any more.

If you use the region link (usually the name of your current country) at the bottom left of the page it should change it properly. At least it did for me with Peggle 2. Must have got it stuck on en-US at some point.

Still can’t search for Xbox One games though :-(

  • Brian Ghattas

Love how you’re all crowing about buying an incomplete game. EA and PopCap must be happy that there are still schmucks like Nick Peck and UNSCleric to fleece.

  • coip

The pricing disparity between digital and disc versions of the same game is ludicrous: digital versions should be cheaper than disc versions, not more expensive. If that can’t be done then at least let third-party retailers sell digital download codes at the same price as the disc games they sell discounted.

    • Brandon K

Not sure what you are talking about but it isn’t peggle

      • coip

Very few people here are talking about Peggle. I am not one of them.

  • Alex Balcanquall

smart glass support would be good so I can use the second screen for aiming finesse

  • chillgreg

Bought it. Took 1/2 an hour to install… pretty average graphics, just another kids game. Not sure what all the fuss is about? Sadly had to disable the music as the Ode To Joy is part of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, and don’t want it ruined by hearing it blasted at me every 2 minutes. They couldn’t write their own theme?
    6/10

  • TheRealArgonaut

    Yes, it is.
