Arcade, Deal, Marketplace, Xbox 360, Xbox 360 Games On Demand By Jeff Rubenstein

  • Sledg

Nice sales and I did buy a bunch of games. Glad I didn’t sell the 360 when I bought the XBox one!

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

I bought 12 games from this sale.

  • ImTheMetalLord

Everyone talking about what they did pick up I wanna see what you are upset that you chose to wait on and now you wish you could go back and get at the price offered. Mine are Bastion, Dishonored, Viking, Brothers and Fallout 3 because of my limited funds I chose to pass at the time. I still might pick up Tropico 4 from today’s and Driver SF from the week long sales. Or I may just save my money and see whats available on sale starting tomorrow for Gold Members.

    • Unkempt_Gerald

Bastion, Soul Cal 2, Brothers. That’s about it everything else I skipped out on I had already played to death.

      • http://Site.com Gedalya

They should have put Soul Cal iv and v on sale.

  • ElektroDragon

Only game above I don’t own is Adventure Time and at $20 its NOT CHEAP ENOUGH. I would bought it at $10 (75% off).

    • Unkempt_Gerald

Adventure Time isn’t supposed to be that good, haven’t played it myself but reviewers universally panned it. I’m glad that Major Nelson leaks these sales a few hours early where I live. Got RDR and Dark Souls late last night because today’s lineup didn’t have anything in comparison. Puzzle quest 2 is worth a few bucks, but I already bought at full price. I did pick up Rock of Ages with the last 2 bucks on my account, seems like a game I’ll pick up from time to time.

      • http://Site.com Gedalya

Well, He is set in Pacific Time. XBLDB was even earlier in their announcements, I just waited till Major confirmed them all. Typically, there was 9 individual sales per sale. So, Altogether there was about 63 sales this week plus the deal of the week. Pretty good overall.

        • ImTheMetalLord

As well as the discounts for being a gold member that lasted all week made for a grand total of 77 games for sale this week as well as 5 add on’s for Ridge Racer BTW that made that game and all the add on’s less than $10.

          • http://Site.com Gedalya

So, really who could ever complain? lol I can’t, I’m satisfied as if I just feasted on a horse (no, TWD pun intended).

      • ElektroDragon

Well I did rent Adventure Time. I liked it, but felt that in no way should it have been priced more than $10. Hence my complaint. It’s nothing more fancy than an XBLA game that made it to retail distribution because of franchise recognition, and it should be priced accordingly.

  • Jagamundi

Well, it’s an improvement. Still nowhere near Steam level deals. Hopefully MS will keep moving in the right direction with the next Games for Gold selection.

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

Seriously, I can’t wait for the Steam Machine. . . It’s going to be sweet.

  • Inqui117

This sale was WAY better than the countdown to 2014 sale. Seems like you guys are starting to learn.

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

They surprised us. . . Since when does Microsoft ever go unannounced on a new sale?

      • Inqui117

At least it was a welcomed surprise, and not a “DRM kind” of surprise :P

  • Deoster

Metro is free on PSN Plus+

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

I’m considering getting a PS4, but only if they put Journey on it. I’ll probably get it for The Witness, and when Starbound comes out on it. PS4 seems like the place to be, with all of the free game sales. I believe Borderlands 2 is free with PSN Plus?

      • ElektroDragon

Yes, or at least it was. They cycle the free games every few weeks, but you keep them forever as long as you’re a subscriber, which you need to be for multiplayer on PS4 anyway.

        • http://Site.com Gedalya

I know that on PS3 that wasn’t the case. I just didn’t like the PS3 when it first came out, but it has some good exclusives.

    • itsjustme

Metro for FREE sounds great, but don’t I need a PS3 for that game? Can a PS4 play PS3 games by downloading them? I didn’t think it was backwards compatible.

  • Jason Lafitte

every single one of those “sale” prices should be the regular price.

  • deathmonger420 .

how about SR3?!?! I have been waiting to play that since it came out…it might have been on sale once but I missed it. SR4 is $20…SR3 should be $5.

  • deadbox102

After reading an article on Thief I have decided not to purchase the game. This frees up more funds for today. Guess I’ll go ahead and get Saints Row IV.

    • Jason Lafitte

I liked SR4, I rented it from my local library for no charge for 3 weeks.

  • Rick

Does anyone have any idead which games are going to be for the next Deal Of The Week??? :D ?

    • Mira

      Nope :(

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

That and the Games for Gold for March?

      • Rick

Too soon, you can find information about it 2/27-28, not earlier, don’t know why… at this moment you will encounter only with misleading information about it.

    • deadbox102

Xbldb is showing a number of BO2 listings.

      • itsjustme

BO2 = Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I was confused about your abbreviation ’till I looked it up. It wasn’t Body Odor 2.

        • AC130

It could be. They both stink. :)

        • deadbox102

Yeah, Body Odor would be appropriate in this case.

  • http://Site.com Gedalya

I’m prepared for TWD: “A House Divided”. I just need the release date, anyone know? Plus, looking forward to Telltales other games. I’ve been kicking it with The Wolf Among Us, which is a good game. The first episode especially.

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

Matter of fact, the only Telltale games I wouldn’t recommend are the CSI ones.

  • DavidinCT

Saints Row 4 for $20 ??? I missed this one on release because of other games but now I will play it ! Awesome!!!

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

I would’ve jumped at Saints Row Three.

  • マリオ

Do people really care about Call of Duty? Time to get Strider.

    • deadbox102

I’m about burned out on COD myself.

      • http://Site.com Gedalya

        ^^^

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

Well, thats all that will feature in the deal of the week. Sad. . . I expected better.

  • Sigognac

For the time left about this sale (tonight), it is worth a last look.
Could I ask your opinion about Batman: Arkham City, Driver: San Francisco and Dust: An Elysian Tail ?
Having never played any of those, despite their notoriety; I can be sure that they have their proper value, but a personnal opinion would be appreciated.
Ps. Is Guardians of Middle-Earth really is for multi-players only?

    • Rick

I haven’t played too much Batman, but as far as I understand it’s one of the best comic book video game adaptations ever made, a big plus in this case is the price, really cheap.

      • Sigognac

While finding appealing the adventure side of Batman, I hesitated about the darker side of this approach. But it seems interesting.
And you are right too, since it is for the price of a movie renting.
So we could pass on an eventual movie for a longer adventure… ;)

        • http://Site.com Gedalya

Or think of it as buying 5 items from the Micky Dee’s dollar menu.

    • James

Never played Driver, but Batman AC is one of my favorite games of this generation and Dust is an amazing and beautiful arcade game with awesome gameplay. In my opinion if you don’t have these games and you have the money to apend you will not regret it.

      • Sigognac

Thank you for your answer James.
It seems clearly positive for both.
And you are right; the amount is very reasonable.
        Thank you very much.

    • Sknots

I have to recommend batman AC its one of my fav games of all time i havent found any flaw in it, story is really nice, graphics are amazing, music is awesome, the gameplay is wow its really fun to see how you can make your own variations to one combo, it never gets old, it has a lot of replay value especially if u try the challenge mode which is very addictive. Theres a demo for batman AC and Arkham asylum give em a try

      • Sigognac

Thank you. I understand even more why you are recommending it.
I will surely keep it in mind. With those advices, I think the trial will not be necessary. If possible, I will give you some news.

    • Sigognac

Pps. There are several interesting games here.
About my own recommandation, Dirt 3 seems excellent for racing amateurs.Thank you for having took the time to give me your advices.
      They are really useful.

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

Dust is well worth the regular price, but at discount its a steal. I’m still trying to decide on Alan Wake: American Nightmare and Azura’s Wrath. Oh, Batman:AC is hella good. You’ve got to play it, one of the best games of it’s year.

      • Sigognac

I was told (and saw a bit) that Azura’s Wrath is a kind of extravagant visual feast in an anime style, with some planet-scope battles, like a charged interactive “manga book” with “deity-level” powers. So it is technically achieved, but a matter of personnal taste.
For Alan Wake, I could not inform you, since I globally do not know the horror style, except I red that this one may be more action-oriented than the principal game: Alan Wake.

    • Sigognac

For the kind players that answered me, I can tell that I really considered your advices. I finally acquired Batman: Arkham City and Dust: An Elysian Tail for my closes and me.
As I was intented to obtain few of the games offered during this week, I think I will be content to have listened to your positives opinions.
And at 8 $ for both of these good games, your recommandations were good.
      Thank you !

  • Django Fett

Is anyone else having problems with Metro Last Light? After I dl it and want to play it, the game would say “disc error” and freeze 3-4 times before i can even play the game.

if this happens tomorrow im gonna be pissed!

    • Sknots

      Try downloading it again

      • Django Fett

ok. hopefully i dont have to pay for it again.

        • Sknots

Once purchased you can download it all the times you want without having to pay again as long as its the same gamer account and that applies for everythint you buy on XBLmarket

          • Django Fett

Oh okay. gotcha. thanks for the help.

  • Some Person

It’s sad, this sale started out so good but went out in a whimper.

    • Trollmasters

Really? I see this as a great opportunity to revisits some great games like oblivion, tropico 4, and limbo, but hey, we all have our own decisions right?

      • Some Person

I agree with you that those are great games but everyone who wants them have them. I mean the highlight of the final day was Oblivion and I bought that when I bought my console at launch… frankly there is no reason why an 8 year old game–a launch title none-the-less–should still be $15 to begin with and this is coming from someone who buys every Bethesda game twice (PC and Xbox).

  • barsonauto

Both Metro games are $20. That’s $40 for both of those great games. I REALLY recommend them. You will not regret it.

  • http://Site.com Gedalya

Basically, deal of the week will be call of duty dlc. Maybe, games with gold will be good.

    • wuzup916

Not to sound like “that guy” but those prices for the games are way too much for digital prices.. Just an opinion

      • http://Site.com Gedalya

It makes no sense why digital copies are more expensive, when they are less reliable than physical.

      • deadbox102

It’s Activision. What did you expect?

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

That is too much DLC, lol

    • Matthew Swiss

This is next weeks deals, lame. CoD Really shouldn’t waste a weeks worth of deals.

    • deadbox102

I was hoping for an X1 title to kinda break up the monotony.

    • Eldun-elu Bailey

Wow call of duty black ops dlc this would be good if I didnt already have all the dlc for cod

    • Bennijin

      Wow it’s like there isn’t a sale.

    • MrUgly

OMFG this is not a sale since modern warfare 3 they launch black ops 1 and 2 and CoD Ghost… and its still priced at 20 euros lolololololololololololololol

  • Rick

To be honest I understood the same, I thought that we were going to have one more day of “good” sales… akwards indeed…

  • ★☆ERIK☆★

What you need to notice is that cod is till the #1 franchise ans will be for some yrs people will still pay full price so why lower the price

  • James

Yea we are having this “awesome” COD sale today!

  • Benjamin

I went nuts on the ultimate game sale, ended up getting way more stuff than I had planned. Picked up like 12 games. But hey, at least I know I have this upcoming week to save my money!

    • Sigognac

It is understandable; we have to reassure. This level of opportunities and prices is not common, passing approximatly twice or thrice a year (hélas all at once and sometimes never coming back).
We could have found here sometimes 5 games for less than the price of one. So let’s pass on the next lesser temptations and think about this sudden new library as if we would have bought those games during the weeks or months to come.
It is like the rare times when we find more gifts to offer to someone or have received more than expected at a feast; to really appreciate, we just have to unpack one at a time, and wait an occasion to surprise ourself with an unopenned one.
If you can share too, wait for an appropriate time to discover a new one with a close. See it as your and your family winter gifts !
Have good times in the following month with your favorites !

  • Benjamin

Hate these single game/franchise sales. Ultimate Games sale was great.

  • fear

well for a ULTIMATE sale it was a ULTIMATE desapointement!!! (look PS+ this week)
man i wish i can trade my xb for a ps now…..
