still need to wait 3 days in Germany. :(
But recent Reviews are mixed, not sure if I should buy it (and no PreOrder DLC Mission for digital version? :( )

    • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

was tempted to pre-order and was disapointed by the review too. ill give it a shot with a rental or a demo whichever come first. I was more tempted by thief than titanfall because i wanted a calm and good solo campain to take break from the competitive online gaming adrenaline rush lol. Now i’m back on titanfall list i guess

    • Allan

This was on my steam wish list, way back in december and this friend of mine(girl who’s secretly in love with me), gifted it to me. I wouldn’t have bothered given the mediocre reviews, but now that I have it, I guess I might as well play.

    • ElektroDragon

I think the game is very good, just not in tune with current American gaming sensibilities. Look at Eurogamer Italy. They gave it 90/100 and I can see why. Also when I looked on PSN Store for before launch, it DID have the bank heist DLC for digital preorder. Did they remove that for launch? Would suck.

      • http://www.Bl4ckSh33p.de/ Bl4ckSh33p

There are no PreOrders in the Xbox One Store. :(
I hope all with digital copy get a code or can download it soon.

    • WARLORD

I have enjoyed this game so far and while it is not a 10 or 9 and if i am
honest 8 might be stretching it this game is still solid 7.5-7.9
range. To address some concerns i have heard 1.Load times yes they do
occur in the city but from what i have seen they are forewarned before
hand and also they can be lengthy but they appear not to as abundant as
some have stated 2. frame rate during
gameplay i have found no stutters however during the fmv their is
sometimes a noticeable slowing however it could be meant as a misguided
attempt for artistic flair 3. Story ok people lets be honest the story
in thief games has always been slightly confusing and tied up in some
strange socioreligous themes (see the hammers). My opinion if you play
thief mainly for the story and not the game play your missing the point
:D. all in all i give it a 7.8 if you enjoy stealth game play you will
enjoy this game if not this is not for you

  • ElektroDragon

This is the 17% less detail edition.

    • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

get over it, it’s old, it’s not funny and it’s totally not important in term of fun and gameplay.

Try to convincing an iphone user to go over android so that they get full HD screen.

      • ElektroDragon

Why should I let the company live down their mistakes?

        • Allan

Nobody cares. Frankly you can keep your 1080 on PS4. I’ll be playing at 1440 on PC. Should I go to some Sony forum and rave about that? No, cause I don’t care what resolution other people game at.

          • ElektroDragon

They do care, but forget it. I’ve been a bad human.

          • Allan

If resolution was so important to people they wouldn’t be playing on a console at all, they’d be playing on PC. Let’s not pretend these games have such crazy super high required specs. If someone truly wanted the visuals to be top notch, bar none, they wouldn’t blink at spending some extra money on PC hardware. I know it costs more than a console, but a few extra hundred bucks isn’t a lot of money. Especially when PC games cost waaaaaaaay less than on console.

          • ryder4life22187

Ya that might be true but not everone wants to constantly change out parts on their pc just to play a new game. With consoles the only thing I have to deal with is updates. So yes it should be a standard by now for games to be 1080p. You sure don’t see blu ray movies varying between 720p to 900p or 1080p right, so why should this be any different

          • Allan

I’ve been using the same PC for the last 5 years, I can play everything on the market (though not everything at the highest settings). Haven’t changed a single component, except for the power supply which died a couple months ago. The myth that u need to upgrade your PC hardware every couple of months is ridiculous.

It’s a little bit of a different thing, playing a movie at 1080p, and running a game at 1080p. Not really an apples to apples comparison.

          • Brian

No, no one cares. Only internet trolls care. This is the new “bit wars” but “pixel wars”. No one will be able to tell any difference after uprezzing and on a 50″ TV from 9′ back.

          • ElektroDragon

Actually I was easily able to tell the resolution difference on AC4 between my PS4 and X1 on my 65″ TV from 8″ feet back. But you know, think whatever makes you feel better about your investment.

          • Azgoodazitgetz

I got both and my ps4 is collecting dust just like my ps3.

        • Nick Peck

The system is obviously capapble of doing it, Forza 5 proves that. As for the comments? Act like a grown up and drop it. We ALLLL get it, but we come here for good conversation, not to wad through stupid comments.

Most people will just ignore and hide what you say anyways, but if you are that unhappy, walk on by, we don’t need the hate mongering. Find something better to do with your time. Everyone has their own opinion, but to keep on with it is just getting old.

Enjoy the games, it’s about having fun overall, right? Just my 2 cents.

          • ElektroDragon

            OK, I’m sorry.

        • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

if you feel it’s a mistake, choose another product. You are totally in control in what you want to accept for yourself.

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

      truth.

    • kevgallacher

Get over it already 1080p games will come later when developers get used to the hardware. No launch window games on 360 were 1080p either.

      • ElektroDragon

This isn’t the old days. It’s basically a PC. Everyone’s used to it by now. And the core memory design ideology is identical to 360. But fine, maybe I will stop the counterproductive snide remarks.

        • Brian

“the old days” lol. This is not the same architecture as the 360. No.

Also, the box is $500, and that’s with profit. To build even the lowest gaming PC that would output flawless 1080p games would cost more than $500 all told. This is a console, not a PC. If you want a PC, build a PC.

          • ElektroDragon

I have a gaming PC. I’ve always had one. Thanks for reinforcing my misanthropia though.

          • Brian

Good…? Reinforces my own statement – you can get better graphics with PC, always. Always has been that way, forever. But you’ll pay much more.

          • Ismokedthebanditwithaheadshot

Definitely not a pc. But it’s pathetic how this system performs compared to a real console like the PS4. Overpriced and underpowered, that should be Microsofts new manta.

          • Brian

And it does. It competes just fine, and does even more with Kinect and cloud computing.

  • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

@Larry i got an honest question. Why we are not able to pre-order digital copies ? Is it going to be something available pretty soon. Pre-order and eventually pre-download. It is really important factor for the digital lovers. It is also quit annoying to have to buy the physical copy just to get the pre-order bonus. Can you update us on that please

    • Allan

Pre-loading for digital copies is awesome, but is it really necessary to be able to pre-order them? Other than the bonus?

      • kevgallacher

I think he mean pre-download them. This is important as it is annoying to wait several hours to wait to download it on release day, especially when you can see friends are already playing it. Some people still have slow connections so it can take the best part of a day to download.

      • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

in order to pre-download, you would need to pre-order. And the additionnal bonus is indeed a plus. The bank heist on that game will be part of a paying DLC probably. There is no reason to pay more when you go digital (especially when they save the physical disc, the shipping, the handling, the printing, the case, etc.) It will certainly boost sales too

        • Allan

True, I would like this. Especially considering I pre-loaded this on steam last night. Best feature of the digital store.

        • Brian

Agreed. I wanted to preorder digital and get the bank heist. But that option was not available to me, and I was not happy.

          • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

it’s a bit sad that we never get answer no matter how polite and on topic our comment are.

          • Timothy Wolf Bernard

i think if you get it on the day the game come out you will still get the perorder items (if its digital). you will get a email in about a week.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

played the original back in the day on my old gaming pc rig. it was the best thing ever at the time for me. I just went to redbox and picked this up. reviews are mixed at best.

    • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

it was a new genre back in the time. I rember finding it overly hard, but i was young at the time =) I was hoping for a very nice challenge in this one. To be honest, it look pretty much (in term of gameplay) to Dishonnered. Grab it too if you like the genre, it is nice and it is on a discount maybe

  • Dtreal90

Nice to hear that it’s also available digitally on 360 also…oh what, there is no mention of that. Why are you or whoever else with Microsoft so picky with promoting games for both Xbone and 360. You guys almost never have a release schedule for On Demand games for the 360. It would have been nice to know that Castlevania LoS2 came out on demand today or if Titanfall and other future titles will be On Demand first day on the 360 so I don’t waist my time pre-ordering at my local gamestore.

    • itsjustme

FYI, it’s available On Demand now. Was it not there 4 hours ago? Anyway, the reviews are mixed right now from very low to very high. Check ‘em out to see if you should invest $60 or rent. I haven’t seen any 360 reviews yet.

      • Dtreal90

I knew that already. I was just trying say that 360 owners need some type of release schedule and announcements for on demand games. Right now I have no clue if Titanfall is gonna be available on demand the first day when it releases for 360. I want to know ahead of time so I can cancel my pre order or not.

  • ElektroDragon

I have a copy coming from Amazon but am tempted to keep it sealed and returnable until I get a rental copy from Gamefly because of some poor reviews. See digital lovers, if I hadn’t gone physical I wouldn’t have this option now at all.

    • Allan

If you don’t live in the United States, you still don’t have that option.

      • ElektroDragon

You can be an entrepreneur and start your own country’s version of Gamefly?

        • Allan

          Ugh, that sounds like work.

    • Nick Peck

I only buy digital copies of games I know that I want 100%. Games like this will be on a disc for trade in, but after seeing the reviews I’ll hold off for now.

      • Allan

Last time I tried to sell Gamestop some PS2 games (10 years ago). They offered me $3. I hope things have changed since then.

        • wuzup916

They gave me 5 bucks for battlefield 4 on 360 about a month ago.. I only payed 30 for it tho

      • WARLORD

I’m really not surprised with all the low ratings i don’t care
about ratings anymore because half of the time when a game is 70 its
really 90, everything is underrated now a days and if you look at the
ratings and buy a game based on ratings well then your missing just to
        much…..

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

Dude, Never break the seal on the plastic. The wrapping you can remove, but you must be very careful removing the side plastic. I learned this on returning games to Walmart that looked like they were never open so I could get a refund if I wanted one. I’m full digital for 360 now.

    • ElektroDragon

Well, glad I decided to open it because I love the game.

  • itsjustme

Thief is available on the Xbox 360 as well. Why did you only mention the Xbox One, Larry?

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

Because he is a Major Canary for MS’s New Gen. lol,

    • dibils

      digitally?

      • itsjustme

I just checked and it’s there on the 360.

  • http://Site.com Gedalya

    What a steal! lol

  • Ross Kemp

I have the more superior version on PS4 , and yes it still stinks .
In full honesty , I would never of bought this if the market was not so barren for games .
I shall trade it in store for credit against Titanfall .

    • THU31

It is not much superior with even heavier framerate drops. This game should never have been certified for release in that state on both consoles. What a disaster.

      • ElektroDragon

The sad part about 900p on Xbox One though is that even on PS4, the graphics looks completely last gen, and the frame rate sucks. Hoping the gameplay or story will make up for it.

  • http://people.ign.com/beholdmyhatred BeholdMyHatred

    Terrible game

    • WARLORD

I have never played the original, but I dig the vibe of this game. If I
hold back the urge to run around bashing every one in the head and just
play as a sneak, the AI is solid and the levels are challenging. I
played it set on “hard”. The makers seem to indicate that you can
choose a play style. ie., Go nuts or sneak, and you will still have a
solid game, like you can in Splinter
Cell Blacklist. I disagree. I think this game is definitely designed
for those who enjoy sneaking. If that is your thing, I think you’ll
      enjoy it.

  • http://Site.com Gedalya

I just received a message from Xbox Live that said “Xbox Live Message”, lol wtf

    • Artune

That was an xbox one message inviting you to the xbox one preview beta. I bet you saw it on the x360. Same happened to me

      • http://Site.com Gedalya

Yeah it confused me until I went to the website. I got two codes? don’t know what to make of that though.

        • Lucky13X

Lucky you. I have over 20 challenges done and 10 Xbox One games bought and no codes. Oh well. I guess near 50 to 90% completion on all those games don’t count. Ho hum.

          • http://Site.com Gedalya

Yeah, I’m not too sure what to make of it except that perhaps its from so many purchases, lol. That would probably be the way it goes.

        • http://www.Bl4ckSh33p.de/ Bl4ckSh33p

Hi! If you dont need the code I would be happy to test it. :)

  • Nick King

Not available in the UK until the 28th?

    • http://www.Bl4ckSh33p.de/ Bl4ckSh33p

Same here in Germany. Europe has to wait. :(

      • Nick King

Anyone any idea on the cost of the digital download?

        • http://www.Bl4ckSh33p.de/ Bl4ckSh33p

          69.99€ here, too much! + 2×5€ for 2 DLCs. :(

          • Nick King

£49.99 here, I can pick up the disc version for £39.99. I’ll wait until it’s on offer I think.

    • evilfangs .

We normally get our games on Friday, I have no idea why.

      • Gazza!!!

Some sort of old, draconian agreement with retailers to do with sales being better on Fridays.

  • http://www.xboxplayers.com/ Dodge

here is an idea, let us pre order this game instead of mass download on day 1, also release price info before release date, that would help tenfold, as i have brought physical on this as it was only £39.99 in the uk from an online source

    • http://www.xboxplayers.com/ Dodge

glad i did buy from online store MS how can you charge £49.99 for this yet i can buy something i can hold and trade in for £10 less, do you have the same guy that prices EA games on origin working for you too ??

  • Ross Kemp

Why would I buy it via download , when I can can get it $13 cheaper on physical disc and get free Bank Heist DLC which is going for $4.99 on your store .
So erm , thanks but no thanks .

    • Golaga123

Microsoft really need to check their digital pricing policies.

    • http://www.Bl4ckSh33p.de/ Bl4ckSh33p

Please fix this! I dont want discs and bought all games digital but we have to pay the same or even more to get less? The DLC should be free like the ones for launch games (buy in the first 14 days to get DLC free) since there is no pre order option. :(

      • http://www.youtube.com/SabzilaTV SabzilaTV

        Totally agree!

  • roozbeh, again

Those accents… they ruin the immersion.

  • fwdkiller

Do not buy it is very glitchy , on 360 it has contrast and brightness issues also frame rate drops and xbox one its its a little better at 720p. If you guy are planning to buy a this game get it on pc gtx 650 will to the job on high settings plus 80 fps.

  • fwdkiller

Anyone know the free games for march.

    • http://Site.com Gedalya

I know that the first will be Sid Meirer’s Civilization.

      • fwdkiller

        How do you know that?

  • Shafiq Latif

This is pathetic… been looking forward to this for months, and now I don’t seem to be able to d/l this off Live in the UK. Can anyone confirm?

    • Jenny von Falkenberg

      Neither can I.

    • fwdkiller

Sorry bro make a us account , Microsoft is pulling 180 on us again. Just watch xbox one Will get locked down.

  • Mr&Mrs Ninja

What’s up with the shortage of demos!? Would to play this but I guess i’ll have to renew my gamefly.

  • Mr&Mrs Ninja

Does anyone know how long it takes to beat thief?

    • fwdkiller

      7 hours I beat it in 6 1/2.

      • Mr&Mrs Ninja

Great I’ll just rent it for now. I’ll probably buy it when it hits the $20 mark.

  • Mr&Mrs Ninja

Hope it has easy achievements… most stealth games have hard achievements.
