E3, Events By Larry Hryb, Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson

  • Carnage Rules

    Can’t wait

  • JRPG_Hunter

Lost Odyssey 2, Blue Dragon 2 or any exclusive JRPG otherwise no Xbox One for me

    • Beluvius

That would be great. However I highly doubt this is going to happen. Probably we get more shooters…

    • alukard

I thought Japan closed the door on Xbox years ago. I doubt they will get what you want if the game developers don’t care.
Child of light is a beautiful RPG on the Xbox One.

      • Kino

Im pretty sure Microsoft had announced they had a few or one Japanese developer(s) on board

        • slasaru

Not a few, actually, many of them

      • Some guy

Japan hate xbox consoles but love making games for it.
Raiden 5 and virtual-on 5 would be neat.

    • usrev

JRPGs were on the 360 because MS paid for them in an attempt to get the 360 to sell in japan. it failed. I doubt there will be exclusive JRPGs on xbox again.

  • Mikael Soltaniha

My birthday is on June 9!!! =D

  • Bush

wow it has been a year already since i last saw the timer on here. my god the older you get the quicker time flies.

  • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

Can’t believe e3 is almost here again! so excited. I love getting up the morning of the shows from xbox and Sony and all the publishers that put them on and just watch the coverage all day. on another note, I just beat spiderman for the xbox one. I know it’s not the most amazing game but I can honestly say I had a blast playing it. I love spiderman though so that plays a big part.. but swinging through the city felt so awesome in this game and I loved all the different suits you can get. Spidey truly looks awesome in this game !!

    • ImTheMetalLord

“I just beat Spiderman….I know it’s not amazing….” LOL well then why do they call it the Amazing Spiderman?

      • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

Hahaha poor choice of words I spoze :p

  • alukard

Please bring your A game. No fancy abstract stuff, just direct down and dirty gaming. Prove the haters wrong.

  • Anthony Ginepro

Xbox Live is available for Xbox 360 already, does it mean a new app will be deployed for Xbox One as well or through Twitch broadcast?

    • Kino

I think you mean a Live Event app is already on Xbox 360, because Xbox Live is on Xbox One too. It’ll probably be a new app, since Major didnt mention Twitch

      • Anthony Ginepro

Yes exactly, I thought about Live Event app. Would be of course nice to have it and prove X1 is truly all-in-one.

  • Shakeslikecrazy

I hope you guys set the record straight on everything once and for all. Bring it MS!

  • avi

    game on indeed.
    BRING IT!

  • Ryan Tinney

    dis gonna be good

  • ineedgames

    My body is ready.

Please bring on the Heavy weapons.

  • Schniebel

Thx for the reminder just set up an appointment on my calendar good thing this day is holiday here in Germany

  • Snake eyes 211

    Awesome

  • gamer04

can’t wait! just be honest and open and everything will fall in to place!

    • Swat

If they did that, they would go out of bussiness.

  • CyreX

Nice! Major, is there an embed-code for your Countdown-Widget?

    • A. J.

I got it, but I can’t paste it into Disqus. Here are the steps.

      1) View this page’s source.
      2) Search for “countingdownto”.
      3) Grab all of the text that starts with iframe and ends with /iframe. Include all of the “” brackets.
      4) The countingdownto link starts with “//”. Change that to “http://”.

      • CyreX

Got it. Perfect! Thank you :)

        • A. J.

No problem. Glad I could help.

    • http://www.majornelson.com Major Nelson

      Here ya go!

      • CyreX

Thanks for your time :) Got it already with the help from A.J. ;)

  • gamer04

here is what i want to hear about

    1. Games Games Games
    2. External HDD support
    3. DLNA
    4. If you talk about cloud computing, show a working game example.
    5. Halo
    6. Co-op Adventure games
    7. Update on Quantum Break (story driven game looks amazing, loved Alan Wake)
    8. New OS features
    9. JRPG game

What does everyone else want to see?

    • Michael Burden

If anything, they need to implement the external storage solutions prior to E3 to one-up SONY in this department.

      • gamer04

sooner would be good with me! :)

        • Nick Peck

Yah same, going to need it soon.

      • evilfangs .

Can’t really one up Sony when Sony allow PS4 users to replace there hard drives for a 1tb+.

        • Michael Burden

They (SONY) also have said they won’t allow game installation on external devices, only game saves. So they (Microsoft) can one-up them on that front – though I would have preferred a user serviceable option on the One for hard drive replacement as the 500 GB drive in both consoles is an insult when full installations are required from Blu-Ray.

        • alukard

Plug in a 1TB USB drive to the Xbox One and you get everything you need.

          • ps4lol

And void your warranty and possibly damage your consoles internals.

          • alukard

Is that reply for me or a mistake?

        • gamer04

Actually external is better. Instead of losing the initial investment by replacing it you are adding on to it. Also USB 3.0 is slightly faster than ps4 internal sata

    • Dylan

      1) New IPs
      2) New IPs
      3) New IPs
      4) Cancelled Black Tusk game is reinstated, Gears of War game cancelled
      5) Completely optional disc-less, cheaper Xbox One
      6) Sam Lake on stage
      7) More stuff about D4
      9) Martin O Donnell will now score Halo 5
      10) JRPG
      11) More Western RPG’s
      12) Pledge to do better digitally and earn trust
      13) Actual Game Developers passionate about games on stage instead of Corporate types
      14) No Fake Kinect Demos

      • evilfangs .

When the show is about to end it fades to black and boom up pops some amazing reboot like banjo kazooie.

        • Dylan

I’d be pumped. No lie. A true Banjo game though, something reminiscent to pre-Microsoft Rare.

      • Bush

        number 9. hell yeah Dylan.

    • ElektroDragon

I want to see Windows Media Center Extender on Xbox One. And all the above.

      • Death Dealer

Windows Media Center development is dead. The only way you’ll probably ever see an extender app is if MS were to allow a sideloading development sub and some developer ports it.
That sub is what MS should announce if they want any chance to succeed in China anyway.

        • ElektroDragon

I DON’T CARE what they think should be dead! I still want it! They were STUPID for killing off Media Center development. BAD DECISION. I don’t need to accept it.

    • beardyman3218

Games first, new ips.More JRPG’s on the platform, Games with gold on Xbox one announcement, external HDD, a drop in the price of digital games because £50 for full retail games is too steep not to mention £16 for indie games. Dlna streaming, custom soundtracks played back from dlna and or iPod’s, support for 3d blu ray as this was meant to be an all in one system. Directx 12 demo running on xbox one with a comparison of the same game running without it. My list maybe long but is highly do-able.

    • Steve

Consistent 1080p games…. And preorder / preloading of digital games

  • roozbeh, again

MS, you really need to hit this out of the park.

  • Thomas Situma

Okay. So I have one question… The E3 website says the expo starts on 10th June. Does this mean that the June 9th event will get a longer time slot due to it not being within the window or is 9th the new date. Plus MS had better knock this one out of the park…

    • ineedgames

The 9th is when the Presentation starts and all of the big company’s show off their stuff, the 10th is when the doors open so people can play the games.

  • Derek D

If they announce that Kinect-less X1 for $399, can you imagine how quickly the stores will sell out? It will be amazing and the Xbox brand will regain its place as the king of gaming!

    • xjumper

      It wont.

      • Peter

Agreed delusional if you think ms will cave that easily on the kinect requirement spent way too much time and money and sole reason they can justify an extra 100

Can you say snowballs chance in hell

    • Michael Burden

NO, that is the worst thing Microsoft could do at this point. For one, if they drop the Kinect and charge $400, what advantage does it have over the same priced PS4 that has slightly more power than the One? NONE! Now if they keep the Kinect and drop the price, that is a completely different story for greater success. If anything, they need to demonstrate the advantages of Kinect and have more games that use it well – both as a supplement to the experience as well as a primary input device.

      • ps4lol

Kinectless Xbox is almost certainly coming, prepare your plates of crow.

        • ImTheMetalLord

To serve them up to you!

          • ps4lol

MS has 180-ed almost all of their initial Xbox reveal policies and will continue to do so even as their blind fanboys defend each one of them.

They desperately need a $100 price drop and unbundling Kinect is the most obvious way to do it without losing a ton of money on each sale.

Kinect won’t cease to exist if it’s unbundled, it will just be SOLD SEPARATELY to consumers who actually want it.

          • ImTheMetalLord

It will not happen and this I’m willing to wager whatever.

I could take the time to spout off a dozen reasons why this won’t happen but you can search for them if you care.

I respectfully agree to disagree with you. Only time will tell.

    • John Smith

I must disagree – dropping the Kinect, however problematic it may be, would be a disaster. They should instead continue to devote resources to improve it.

      • Riddick Snipes

        They should what?!!!!!!!!

    • Death Dealer

Not going to happen, the Kinect should remain, but the price should drop to the one you mention with it included. Otherwise it’d still be a lower speced box for the same price.

  • xjumper

Cant wait to see Halo 2 Anniversary :)

    • Death Dealer

Me too. I’d also love to see a Halo Wars 2 down the line.

  • Peter Taylor

They need to dump the Kinect and lower the price of the Xbox one….then I will buy one.

    • Kino

Dropping Kinect is not happening. Use Kinect and you’ll see how useful it is.

    • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

You need to find a new place to comment, cuz noone cares here.

      • Nick Peck

        Agreed.

    • Nick Peck

Ah yes, a sheep comment from someone who hasn’t used it yet haha. Try not to be so obvious next time :p

  • usrev

Glad it’s on TV because it never fails that streams go down or bug out or anything.

  • slasaru

This is the time when I want to be Major Nelson, because he already knows all the secrets ))

  • beardyman3218

Can someone convert this to UK time, I am abysmal at time conversion. Also there be an app to watch this on Xbox one?

    • evilfangs .

I think we are now GMT+1 so are now 8 hours ahead so I think it will be 5:00 / 5:30 in the evening for us.

  • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

Oh for sure. last year after the conference you could watch a replay whenever you wantedon the live event player for the xbox

    • Th3B1ackCr0w

Thanks Mitchell. Is the replay of the show directly available at the end of the conference, or do we have to wait a bit?

      • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

I’m not 100% positive but I think it’s immediately up for replay.. and if not, it will be by the end of the day. Also, not sure what your cable situation is but it will be airing on spike tv, you could record it with your DVR,,along with all the other conferences after it if that’s something you have.

  • Aussiesloth

Ill be on holidays when this is on cannot wait

  • alukard

Last year was a mess partly due to inconsistent messages coming from the team which led to a lot of damaging rumours online. Please come this tome with definite, guaranteed answers.
    Bring back the trust.

  • Jonathan B

Xbox did a fantastic job at E3 last year… it was just that our competition took advantage of our mixed messaging during the introduction of the Xbox One and gamers all of a sudden thought xbox was trying to screw us over…

Anyways the xbox one is out now and it is amazing (I have one)…. we have more apps, more features, more AAA games and a better camera/sensor than the competition…. I also believe the xbox has a better controller and the xbox can do things our competition cant (snap, tv integration, upload videos to onedrive.)

Now all I really want from xbox are new IP’s (A last of us type of game/ a game with a great story) AND this multiplatform disparity needs to end (I’m sick and tired of our system running 720/900p games and the other running 1080p)

    I believe in you Xbox…..

    • ElektroDragon

A fantastic job? TV TV TV TV is fantastic? Oh and if you’re sick and tired of your system running 720p/900p, next time make sure your company of choice focuses on having the best hardware design.

The disparity will never end unless MS can convince developers to gimp the version on the other console. Otherwise you might as well ask the Xbox team to turn lead into gold.

And yes, I am an Xbox One owner because 360 was my platform of choice last gen. Too bad my Xbox One will only be used for exclusives.

I will leave you with a protip: Don’t add apostrophe’s to plural’s. See how silly that looks?

      • Guest

Then you, like the rest of the PS losers out there claiming that, didn’t watch the MS E3 conference. There wasn’t a single mention of TV during their E3 presser.

        • Nick Peck

Exactly, last years E3 was nothing but GAMES from MS and they totally delivered. Sony didn’t really show anything except a ton of indie games (yawn) and a lower price point. People equate the lower price point into a GREAT show lol…. but then again people can be morons to, so there’s that.

I wish people would just give it up already and actually enjoy what’s there. I have both systems (only because I got this ps4 for free, still nothing worth owning on it yet imo) and look forward to playing exclusives from both companies.

          • Stephen Perry

You won’t ever have people give up trying to sway others to believe that their opinion (even if idiotic) is the only opinion that’s right.

          • ElektroDragon

I got confused. I made a mistake. I am admitting it on the Internet. That almost never happens.

          • beardyman3218

I upvoted because of your honesty :)

          • Guest

Exactly, but that just makes Sony only supporters look like dumb moronic paupers to me if they truly think that a lower price equals a better show. MS outclassed Sony on the games front last year, they only didn’t respond to all the rumors, which was a mistake that Sony took advantage of.

      • VegaDD

Tv was not talked about at e3, if you’re going to troll do some research.

      • roozbeh, again

I think you got a few details wrong about last year.

      • Nick Peck

Kinda funny how Ryse at 900p still looks better than any of the 1080p games on either system. I play games for fun, not resolutions. I guess since the NES was so low res that it and all of it’s game sucked, right?

You guys really need to stop crying over nothing already. Also, don’t forget how excited sony is for their ps tv stuff… give it a rest you silly blowhard :)

      • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

I think you’re confusing the e3 conference with the xbox one reveal… There was no ” tv tv tv” at the e3 xbox conference.. it was nothing but game after game announcement. they had an amazing e3 last year, and just as that guy said it was just overshadowed by Sony capitalizing on Microsofts mixed messaging and lending game fiasco.

        • ElektroDragon

          That’s exactly what happened. Sorry.

    • beardyman3218

I cannot wait for E3, my guess is they are going to show off their new directx12 for xbox one hopefully comparing a game with and without it and also free up that 10% cpu reservation for kinect only kinect centric games should be using that anyway, at least i hope thats the announcement. Phil Spencer knows what gamers want because it is what he wants.

    • Some guy

Oh yea, because MS never tried to screw us over.
Just because they didn’t go at your home to punch you in the face doesn’t mean MS is doing something right.
But hey, enjoy your 25% off Killer instinct and your 17% off NBA 2K14, external storage and Game with gold.

      • Nick Peck

Yah, because Sony is soooo innocent themselves lol. There is easily over a dozen things sony has pulled or tried to pull over the years so give it a rest. Certain things didn’t happen so why sit here and say what you said? It’s in the past, it’s over and done with, give it up already.

        • Some guy

That has nothing to do with what I said but I’ll still answer.
Sony is lying all the time, using fake screenshot, fake information about their games or their consoles and used to be so elitist they thought a 600$ price tag with no games was a good thing.
And that’s why I’m not buying a playstation. At least now they stop being elitist.
And that’s also why I’m not getting an xbone.

      • Stephen Perry

“Just because they didn’t go at your home to punch you in the face doesn’t mean MS is doing something right.” Microsoft’s earnings actually prove they’re doing stuff right. In what way did MS try to screw anyone over by adding a slew of features that closely resembled heading down a direction Steam has been at for years now?

        • Some guy

That has nothing to do with what I said but I’ll still answer.
having to connect every 24h to play the game you bought is pants on head retarded. Now you’re probably part of the master race that never had any issue with xbox live or internet but I assure that some people can lose their connection for a while.

          • Stephen Perry

Connect once up to 24 hours for a license validation check to see who owned the game and who was currently accessing the game from a single license…yes, that family sharing circle thing sure was going to screw over everyone who had reliable enough internet connections to post across the various news and social media sites taking hold of that one particular feature as if DRM had just been invented because Microsoft was implementing a license check as to who actually owned the game.

          • Some guy

The family thing was great, nobody complained about that.
But that said, almost no one knew it existed since they stop at “MS is proud to annonce we hate you and will do everything we can to prevent you of playing your games”
Connecting every 24h to play shared game make sense.
Connecting every 24h to play physical game is MS kind of retarded.

          • Stephen Perry

Microsoft never prevented you from trying to play your games. What they did do was create a system to validate licenses once up to every 24 hours for their discless playback system, and the people who complained about it had reliable enough internet connections to support that validation model to begin with. Could Microsoft have added in the ability to simply use the disc for validation in the event that the internet verification failed? Yeah, they could have, but instead of everyone suggesting that over social media they called for a straight removal to make the system the Xbox 360 2.0. The benefits and features offered from Microsoft for that tiny little check far outweighed the bad press that Microsoft still gets for that feature, but since the gaming community as a whole is full of pure idiots (much like yourself) they have prevented Microsoft from really propelling console gaming into the next gen because gamers are so stupidly resistant change for the better as a whole.

          • Some guy

Wanting to be able to play my disc games if the servers are down is being an idiot?

          • Stephen Perry

Re-read my comment and at least try to comprehend the concept of discless playback and why the validation check was necessary when sharing your games with that circle of people you wanted (if you chose to do so). You’ll quickly realize that the design decision was proper even if Microsoft hadn’t considered just adding in the capability to verify your game license via the disc you owned (if you bought the physical disc in the first place). Like I said, the benefits far outweighed the negatives that were spun way out of proportion because the current popular trend is to hate Microsoft for everything they do. Of course, this is entirely forgetting that Microsoft has year after year proven that their business model and innovations are more sustainable than anything Sony has been doing the past 10 years and have put the Xbox brand on the line to test home consumer technologies in this regard.

        • ineedgames

It really hurts when people over look the pro’s and take the cons out of proportion.

    • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

Totally agree with this comment ! I, too am a huge fan of xbox. I’ve been very vocal on how great it is for quite a long time. I think they had an amazing showing at e3 last year, and you’re right they were simply just overshadowed by Sony a capitalizing on the mixed message and the lending game fiasco.

I’m super excited to see what they are going to bring to this year’s show. With phil spencer now in charge, I truly believe the xbox brand is in the best hands it’s been in yet. I think phil truly gets what xbox is and should be. He knows the system needs to be a hardcore game console first and foremost yet it has to do everything else. It can’t sacrifice gaming for tv or sports or apps but it also can’t sacrifice all those other things.

I’m totally with you on the resolution disparity. I think something needs to be done. They need to get their engineers working double time to somehow free up some of the systems resources in order to run games in full HD. I own a ps4 as well and it is becoming harder and harder to justify buying the xbox one version of multiplat games for the same price, when the ps4 version has better resolution and/or framerate. I have completely made up my mind that if watch dogs doesn’t run the same fps/resolution on xbox one as it does on ps4, I’m picking up the ps4 version.

lastly I just want to say that I think the xbox one OS and user interface is in a great spot, I think it has a long way to go to be as good as the 360 but I think they are going in the right direction and they are doing it in a very timely manner. they are pushing out great updates monthly and it’s awesome to see them so committed to making it a great platform.

I’m super psyched for xbox this year at e3! I think they’re going to knock it out of the park and Im rooting for them 110%

  • Killz

    Bring on E3!!

  • beardyman3218

Bring back spyro!!! I don’t know how you would do it but please do it :)

    • Michael Burden

That’s Activision’s baby and the last time they used him was to introduce the Skylanders games. So in effect, they still are making Spyro games as long as you have the Spyro Skylander for it.

      • beardyman3218

Thank you for the information i didnt know spyro was in skylanders its not a game i have had on my radar. I doubt Activision will ever make a spyro only game, there not exactly known for making anything original these days.

  • Death Dealer

Can’t wait for Halo 2 Anniversary. But I seriously hope that those rumored remakes of Halo 3 and 4 (which I think are a complete waste of development time if true) don’t have their own separate multiplayer as you’re already going to split the multiplayer base with the upcoming Halo 5.
It’d be great if all the maps from Halo 3 and 4 were remade for H2A and integrated into it, but guessing it’s the same engine from CEA refined for H2A, this is not going to happen. I just hope you know what you are doing with those remakes.
I can only hope for Crackdown 3 and a new IP or new game in an old IP from Rare.
I’m also hearing rumors you are going to announce a streaming service for original Xbox and Xbox 360 games. If true, please just let it be free for Gold users or let people play the games they’ve already bought on Games on Demand for free (license check).

  • Sanpei

Bring us Kinectless SKU and price drop…

    • baconcheeswhiz89

only way ill buy a new xbox

  • fur low

Ya keep on MS, but just so you know, you killed all enthusiasm I had for the xbox brand with the xbone. When you come out with xbox 2 or whatever you’re going to call it, make sure not to cheap out on the gpu, then I’ll think about caring about your e3 show again.

    • ImTheMetalLord

Have you read the Spechs for the 360? Considering what they are MS AND Game developers sure did a good job of getting every inch of performance out of it. I believe they can and will on the One as well.

      • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

Really though. 360 has 512mb of ram.. 512! and look at the amazing games in scope and graphics.. The xbox one has almost limitless potential

        • Some guy

If it wasn’t for the notebook CPU and GPU, yea it could have been possible.
          360: 3.2ghz 3 cores
          Xbone: 1.6ghz 4 cores
          That’s just a terrible joke.

          • http://people.ign.com/ltsjoemama ltsJoeMama

The Xbox One has 8 cores.

          • ImTheMetalLord

Xbox One: 8 Core AMD custom CPU Frequency: 1.75 GHz
Do you just pull whatever suits you out of your you know what?

          • Some guy

That was what was leaked, my info are old because I kind of gave up on MS. Since the CPU is based on Jaguar and that this kind of CPU is only 2 and 4 cores I thought it was 4 cores.
Just readed after your post, it’s actually 2 modules of 4 cores of 1.6ghz that MS overclocked to 1.75 later.
It’s still not much of an improvement though.

          • ImTheMetalLord

Very similar to what the PS4 is using: AMD 1.60 GHz 8-core Processor

          • Shakeslikecrazy

Yes, but the CPU in the Xbox One is at 1,75GHz. It is faster than the PS4’s, but MS reserves one more core than the PS4 for the OS, that’s why the benchmarks are slightly lower.

          • evilfangs .

Which OS? X1 uses two ( unless you count the bridge as one )

          • Nick Peck

You don’t need 5ghz cpus to drive games, especially when you have 8 cores to pull from. 1.75×8 is a lot of power, but you would have to actually understand how the architecture worked internally (anything chipset / cpu/gpu related) other than just seeing higher and lower numbers lol.

          • Some guy

you don’t even need 2mhz for games either, what’s your point? I should go get a good old atari 2600 and pretend it’s better then a ps4?
Also, programming wise, having to code on 8 different core is a huge pain in the a$$, making sure everything is sync, 3.2ghzx4 would have been a lot better, it’s the exact same reason people hated the ps3.

        • beardyman3218

I still cannot believe how good some of the games on the xbox360 look and run using only 512mb ram, my phone has more ram.

          • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

Haha I know eh. it’s pretty wild. gta 5 is a pretty crazy example.. just the scope of the game and graphics.. everything really. It gives me great hope for this new gen

          • evilfangs .

Gaming has come a long way in recent years. I remember play GTA Vice city and San andres on my PS2, now they’re on phones. PHONES!

    • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

noone cares about your minority opinion. that’s the stupidest reason ever to not get a console. The xbox ones gpu is better than the ps4 by the way.. not that it even matters. Both the xbox one and the ps4 are capable of great next gen graphics but it’s the gameplay and stories that will make a true next gen experience and xbox has that with its great new ip and sequels that it’s coming out with.

      • Derek D

You seriously think the X1’s GPU is better then the PS4’s? You obviously don’t know jack squat about specs then. I’m an X1 fan and even I know the PS4’s GPU is superior.

        • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

Yup, you’re totally right. I meant cpu. The xbox one has a stronger cpu than the ps4. my bad. and no its not the primary reason the xbox one is coming withgames not in full HD. its because developers are having a harder time optimizing with the esram in the xbox one. something most people fully expect to start to improve over the next year or so.

          • WARLORD

Oh, the Xbox fanboys won’t like this tidbit one bit… not one bit at
all. However, the bits and bytes are what matter most in benchmarks and
how well specific hardware components can crunch those bits and bytes.
It turns out that in a benchmark test for size allocation and
compression, the PS4’s CPU is faster than the Xbox One.

          • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

I can say random things too.. it turns out in a benchmark test done on the enterprise space ship that the gigaflops are much better on the xbox one than the ps4. Also the test found out that there’s a correlation between being a transvestite and purchasing a ps4. see? it’s not hard when you don’t have to cite any sources. it’s been confirmed that the xbox one does in fact have a stronger cpu than the ps4. There are many things better on the ps4, but that isn’t one of them… like I said before, not that any of it matters. All that matters is that they’re both very powerful systems and will deliver amazing gaming experiences over the next decade. Grow up and stop trying to belittle every little thing xbox.

          • WARLORD

According to Gaming Bolt, the PS4’s CPU can process or generate textures at 14 megabytes per second. The Xbox One’s CPU can do 12 megabytes per second and, just for reference, the Intel i7 can do 26 megabytes per
            second.
The site also notes that the textures were generated on a single CPU – though it’s not clarified if that means a single CPU core or the single CPU architecture of the respective platform.

          • Shakeslikecrazy

Yes, even though the CPU on the Xbox One is faster, the OS reserves another core over the PS4, which it’s why the benchmark shows that result. It’s already been explained many times. The Xbox One still has a higher throughput per core and will be very useful when emulation programs hit the Xbox One once the devkit unlocks become available as single threaded performance on AMD cores is already very poor and needs all the clockspeed it can get to boost the dynamic recompilers’ speeds.
Honestly, neither console will last very long with the current PC advancements like NVidia Maxwell coming out.
MS already hinted at scaleable architecture and my bet is that within a year or two we’ll see another itteration of the Xbox One with twice the power or even more if they want to. Xbox will be their controlled PC environment to fight off Steambox if that were ever to gain traction.

Minority ?!? Wake up and smell the coffee !

        • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

          Lol yeah… alrighty then.

  • http://board.sonicstadium.org/index.php goku262002

Yeah well make sure to work on the stream this year, last year was terrible it kept lagging soo horribly on XBL that I had to switch to spike and watch on gamespot when spike was late.

  • Jason Renfro

It would be nice to let a few fans into the presser.

  • Gazza!!!

I did post the leaked lineup but it got deleted for obvious reasons, its most likely true. Search online and its out there.

    • Shakeslikecrazy

I’m pretty sure many of the items on that list are made up, both for the Xbox and PS pressers.

      • Gazza!!!

I know but part of the fun to E3 build up is the rampant speculation before hand.

        • Shakeslikecrazy

Yes, but it’s less fun when all the stupid people treat that speculation as fact because the journalists of the present time can’t see the difference either.

    • http://people.ign.com/ltsjoemama ltsJoeMama

      Perfect Dark! Please be true!

      • evilfangs .

In 3rd person? Hahaha. Big fat skip.

        • http://people.ign.com/ltsjoemama ltsJoeMama

Yeah, In 3rd person like Tomb Raider and Uncharted? Why not?

          • evilfangs .

Because it was never 3rd person and they shouldn’t change it, it spits in the faces of fans.

It’s like changing a FPS like BF to 3rd person, or making a Fifa game first person.

          • http://people.ign.com/ltsjoemama ltsJoeMama

I’d be open to it. It’s better than not having a Perfect Dark.
I highly doubt they’re going to be bring it back, though. So there’s no point in arguing.

    • roozbeh, again

      If only it was true…

  • Andy Sayburn

hope they announce we can use or USB dvices & hope we get the 3D support
