  • Gazza!!!

I was going to pick this up but with Titanfall dlc coming tomorow and 2 recent downloadable games coming to GwG I will wait.

    • Mr&Mrs Ninja

Good things come to those that wait….

  • Some guy

It’s neat that the xbox is still getting ports of obscure NES games but what the hell, 15$ for that?

    • Mr&Mrs Ninja

      It’s a Indie title… that’s the funny part about it… I might get it when it’s $10 but not $15!

      • Death Dealer

“It’ll probably be on GwG for the Xbox One before the end of the year”.
That’s what everybody is going to start thinking now.

        • Michael Košut

Yeah and that’s bad. MS did a bad decision. F PS and Sony. Also with Kinectless Xbox. Sad. I have Xbox because it’s different from PlayStation.

        • evilfangs .

          I’ll be waiting too :)

I loved Max but if I knew a couple months after I brought it I could get it for free I might have waited lol.

        • Gazza!!!

Yup, my thoughts exactly. Its to soon but I guess its what’s to be expected now.

        • Some guy

They really need to let us pick from different games so we won’t end up with games we already bought.
That’s even more true with the xbone going with newer games, you don’t want to buy a 60$ game to have it free 2 months later.

      • Peter

Watch video trailer and it looks mildly interesting but feels like 15 is a tad much. Feels like it should be $10 bucks or less. Will wait and hope it goes down on sale or better yet free as gwg

      • Carnage Rules

$5.00 whole dollars is a deal breaker lol

    • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

You don’t actually think this is NES game do you ? lol this game would have blown up the NES.

      • Some guy

I’m not serious, I said NES because that’s about as low I’ll go for jokes, Atari and comodor would be way too old and Genesis/ps1/neo geo are way too powerfull.

Guess I should have went with SNES?

    • Mr XBob

The sad thing is you’re probably deadly serious…

      • Some guy

I’m serious that it look like some sort of NES game and that 15$ for something that look 30 years old is too much.
Now if it was for the first metal slug, it might have been worth it because even today it took great.

  • Massamo

ok in that video i had no idea what was going on

    • ImTheMetalLord

Then you must not have heard about the release. You are able to go back in time and then move forward with a new your and follow the same time line as the old you but do things different. And you can do this a multitude of times so the new you only needs to kill what you haven’t killed on the previous times through that time AND you can use different characters each time.

      • Massamo

i was meaning end part too much going on at onces

  • ImTheMetalLord

Demo on the 360 is being downloaded as I type. I was so happy to see it came out on both platforms since I don’t have the ONE yet. This is a game I was waiting for.

    • evilfangs .

Who wants to bet there isn’t a demo on the Xbox one. It’s not even worth turning on my Xbox one to even find out.

      • ImTheMetalLord

I’m not sure why most don’t have demos on the One but I bet you are right. There is a lot of games without demos on the 360 but every “Arcade” title has one as well as every “Indie” game so makes no sense to me that these titles don’t get a demo on the One.

        • Elan Gabriel

We need to wait for AMA, first question asked is about the demos.

        • evilfangs .

Sadly I was correct. No demo on Xbox one for this game.

          • ImTheMetalLord

Yep but after the trial/demo I’m not going to be buying it. Not at any price. Wasn’t my type of thing after all. The marketing is great on it but the game not so much.

  • Peter

looks interesting, But damn the x1 free thing coming sooner than i thought. june? i expected later on this year when the market grew more title wise

but yeah the x1 gwg is seriously making alot of people cautious to wait now lest it be given for free later on. Not sure what to do.

    • Nick Peck

huh? So you have a free game as long as you have XBL now and if they change it, it will still be free when you don’t (again if they change it down the road). Really can’t go wrong lol, not sure what you are worried about.

      • Peter

? Meant its a problem deciding on what to buy hoping it won’t be given for free later on ;-) Thats the problem i was referring to.

        • Nick Peck

AAhhhh ok, that makes more sense haha. Yah I hear ya on that as there have been so many times I bought a game then it was free shortly after :(

          • evilfangs .

Already happened to me on X1 :(

I brought Max and it was an amazing game but if I had only waited a few months I could have got it for free in June, oh well at least I get that Halo game for free.

  • Vikingo84

15$???WTF!!!!! I looked to see the price, thinking if I buy it for $ 3, but $ 15 for this LOOOOOOL, we’re crazy?

    • Georgey_Peorgey

This game has been in development for years… $3?

      • Some guy

Duke Nukem Forever took even longer and it’s still garbage
Vampire Rain, Bomerman Act Zero, Haze, Sonic 2006, Monster Madness, Ride To hell retribution.
        Garbages.
If anything taking years for a game is more likely to mean the dev are incompetant hacks

        • Technobeatdown

          Valve

          • Some guy

Can’t argue on that, every Valve games are worth their time.(Even if I doubt their games took that long to develop outside HL2)
There are indies that are worth their time too, like Overgrowth.
But most of the time you can’t really see where that time went. And for Super time force, I really wonder where it went.

          • http://www.jpitta.com/ PittaMan

A having played it tonight, it very obviously went to gameplay. Controls are very tight and responsive.

          • Some guy

ohhh? That’s more interesting then their stupid trailer.
I won’t buy it but i’ll definitly give it a try.

          • Mr&Mrs Ninja

Mr. Ninja: Probably only had 3 guys making this one. I like it just don’t LOVE it. I like the controls and it reminds me of old skool contra.

        • AaronionRings

Nope, you’ve taken a handful of games to make a sweeping statement that isn’t even close to being true. Sometimes projects are awful and take a long time because of sheer incompetence, others it’s because it’s being made with a lot of passion and the developers are making damn sure they do it right.

If anything, you should be looking up info about your games until you can make a well informed decision as to whether you are going to purchase them or not instead of throwing money at them first.

          • Some guy

            Just saying, passiion != talent
You can take years to make your game but if you don’t have talent it still end being terrible while someone with talent would make a better game with less then half the time.
Now, Overgrowth is taking forever to take and is make by a skilled team of 2 people but you cant clearly see where that time went.

      • Mr&Mrs Ninja

I say maybe $10 at the most.

    • http://ryan.snook.us/ Snook

      Go back to your iPod.

      • Liquidfx Xboxdude

        what does that even mean?

  • Lucky13X

    Dieeeeeee. Awesome trailer.

  • ElektroDragon

As if we didn’t have enough pixelated 2D indie shooters/platformers. They’re getting more common than military FPS.

    • ImTheMetalLord

This one seems different due to the time loop thing. And for reals there isn’t much new stuff that comes out. Just like hollywood keeps making the same movies over and over again because they work.

I’m looking forward to Watch Dogs have a different sort of game play. I’m hoping it lives up to its hype at least.

      • Some guy

Ubisoft only know to make one gameplay: auto-play.
Just like their other games you won’t have much control over anything and you will fail a lot because the game decided you wanted to jump off a cliff while you just wanted climb a building next to it.

        • ImTheMetalLord

And you only know one way to post comments. On the negative side of things. Personally, I’m tired of your negative posts however I still respect your right to spout your negative opinions on everything.

In this world nothing is perfect and nothing is total garbage. You choose how you want to look at things and this determines your inner happiness. If something is 80% on the good side then I call that a success and if it is 20% good not a success.

I have high hopes from the videos so far that Watch Dogs is going to be on the plus side.

Good luck to you living on other side of the tracks.

          • Some guy

Alright, I won’t say anything bad about Ubisoft™, enjoy your games and all that. I won’t even argue.

          • Riddick Snipes

What if for watchdogs the resolution on Xbox one is 30% less than the ps4? Is that a success?

          • ImTheMetalLord

Graphics/resolution isn’t as important as good game play.

What if’s are for idiots. What if the world ends before we even get to play the game? See how stupid what if’s are. You could what if till you are blue in the face.

          • Riddick Snipes

The what if guy was the guy I was replying to. All this gameplay is more important than graphics baloney. If u have the same game on a Xbox one and a ps4 the gameplay quality is the SAME! So if one is in 1080p and the other is in 900p which one is better?

          • Some guy

PC version obviously. Then come Ps4 but I’d really, really consider waiting for an actual review for the ps4 since ps4 games are really unstable(60 fps jumping to 30, 30 fps jumping to 15) while the xbone version stay a lot more stable.

That said, for watch dog, neither of the console run at 1080p, 900p on PS4 and 792p on Xbox One
I think the only 1080p game on ps4 is Resogun.

  • Jon Taylor

So it’s $15, without even looking what’s that in uk….£11.99?

  • Vince

Major better free to play games please. dota 2 yes

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVr5Cc2ovbA Meat Juice

    what a tardiness
we’re in age of gigapixel games
why would developers create pixel games ?

    • AaronionRings

Because there’s a lot of charm to them and it’s a visual style? Why wouldn’t developers create pixel games if it suits the game?

  • John Smith

Cool! And it even supports Kinect, proving that the device still has…..

Oh never mind. Guess I’ll finally give up on Kinect too.

  • Technobeatdown

This game #$@%ing owns. I love it.

    • Danny DeSimone

Damn, you’re not making it any easier not buying it. I really want this but I know it’ll be a xb1 GWG. I already own the first two we are getting and have pretty much all the others. Guess I should save some for when they go free but dammit I want to play it!

  • Mike

Which game is the 8 player couch coop?

    • http://www.jpitta.com/ PittaMan

      IDARB

  • digitallife

Glad those who enjoy these kind of games are enjoying them and getting a ton of them. I wish the pricing was a little more friendly..$15 is a bit much for 2d games IMO but that’s me speaking for me as a consumer. I guess perhaps its the fact I can dust off an old console and get the same kind of nostalgic feeling that these aren’t really that appealing to me. Don’t get me wrong i’ll spend hours on twitch watching you guys play but hands on not as fun.

    • http://www.jpitta.com/ PittaMan

$15 is fine for this game. There is nothing like it on a 8 or 16 bit console, and the fidelity and animation is far beyond what those systems could do. The game is fantastic, and watching video does not do it justice.

Your opinion is certainly your own. My opinion of your opinion is that your opinion is wrong.

(I said opinion three times in one sentence!)

  • http://socialsteak.com/ Stephen Robinson

    Game is fantastic.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

$15 though is too much. $10 or less for 2d scrollers. it will go on sale soon and then a def buy. looks awesome but i got too much to play right now and wolfenstein comes out next week.

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

plus if i buy every game then i won’t have any to get for free when they start the gwg on x1. i am going to get my money back from lococycle and crimson dragon back one way or another.

      • That Guy

Why was Crimson Dragon not very good? I was interested in it so wanted an opinion on it.

        • Nick Peck

I put a ton of time into Crimson Dragon, it’s a fun game. But then again I loved all of the original games (and the Xbox one) so I enjoy that type of game.

        • Liquidfx Xboxdude

it’s fun but not $20 fun which is what i paid for it. dumb me.

    • evilfangs .

You’re happy to pay full $60 for a generic Nazi fps game but are upset over $15 for a fresh new idea from an indie developer?

      • Some guy

Oh yea, rewind time to help your future past is totally a fresh idea never seen before.

      • Liquidfx Xboxdude

        gamefly.

        • evilfangs .

          That’s a rental service I guess?

          • Liquidfx Xboxdude

if you have a credit card, then do gamefly. you will feel silly that you didn’t earlier. it has saved me thousands.

          • Gazza!!!

You can only buy digital PC games from Gamefly here in the UK, no rental service :( but we do have one company who do rentals. Boomerang games, never tried the though.

  • That Guy

Sorry, wanted this but was willing to pay $10 not $15. Why are all the new xbox arcade games ridiculously priced?

    • Michael Burden

Well this is a self published Indy title, so maybe you should be taking it up with Capy as they would have been the ones to set the price.

  • http://twitter.com/dat_gap_doe KaosTheory

This is something fit for the Nintendo Wii. Xbox One players want stuff worth having. We have this console that is supposed to be the wave of the future, but instead we are getting these cheap, low rate, overly priced games. I gave it a 1 star. Give us HD graphic games that are worth talking to your friends about. I would not pay $1 for this. Just my thoughts on it.

    • Catalyst

People wanted Indie Support. That’s what they are getting…

      • Riddick Snipes

True. But when they release an indie game it should be in addition to a proper xbla game.

      • Mr&Mrs Ninja

True… a lot of people said, “but ps4 is supporting the indies” then when those same indies come on the X1, they’re like….”This game is #$%$!” lol. Indies are low budget. I still see some indies on the 360 for price of $1-$3. I don’t know what happened here price wise but I hope this pixel trend dies out fast. I want to support indie games but this is madness… MADNESS… you hear me indie guys? MADNESS!

        • Some guy

Indies are just like retail and arcade games.
Bunch of crappy games and sometime a few good games.
The difference being that they don’t spend a bazillion dollars on avertisements.

          • Mr&Mrs Ninja

            True

          • http://twitter.com/dat_gap_doe KaosTheory

My guess is that we will get a load of Indie games that will dump out which will in turn be the “games with gold” offers. Even though we know what the June ones will be which are ok, I see this happening as there just aren’t enough games out and I doubt MS will give us such games like Tomb raider, AC..etc.

    • Some guy

Even by the 90′s standard it still doesn’t look good.
Meanwhile Ska studio make actual 1$ games that are worth a lot more (ZP2KX)

  • Peter

Bought it and gave in. Its just average and so so. Not worth the 15 plus tax honestly wait for it to go down unlike me. As mentioned should have been like 10 bucks or better yet like 7.50 so about half that price

    • ImTheMetalLord

I won’t even buy it for $5. I tried the demo on the 360 and it’s really not my kind of game.

    • James Jiao

Agreed. Pixelated games are being overdone… the gameplay isn’t great either.

    • Mr&Mrs Ninja

Thanx for the info Peter. I tried the demo 360 and i’ll wait until its free with GwG. lol

  • Nick Peck

It’s a fun game, though I do agree with it being in the $10 range. However I did get it to support the studio as Capy has always been good with MS and they have a few great looking games coming.

  • AaronionRings

Got to say I’m disappointed with trials not being mandatory for download only titles on Xbox One. I’d be interested in games like this but I won’t purchase them without having tried them first, especially at £11.99. That’s definitely something I’d like to see MS improve on, trials sell games.

I generally don’t impulse buy at all when there’s no trial for a game. Get some trials in there and I’ll probably be more likely to make a purchase. Trials Fusion looks great but again, no trial so I’m not risking it. I enjoyed the previous trials games but I’d like to play a trial and decide whether it’s a must buy or not based on that.

    • Colin Powers

If there’s one thing I could change about XB1, it’d be this. Having to download the trial on XB360, then switch console and download again if I want it, is pretty silly.

  • Stephen Nowak

oooh run a run and gun game. I wonder if it runs off d-pad, I’ll have to try the demo.
