New Quantum Break Video Today, More at gamescom

We haven’t heard much about Quantum Break since VGX 2013 late last year. This morning, Remedy Entertainment is unveiling new Quantum Break details, along with a promise to reveal even more gameplay later this Summer at gamescom. In this video, Creative Director Sam Lake drops quite a bit of info, and shares new game footage. Take a look:

Quantum Break is coming exclusively to Xbox One in 2015. For more on Quantum Break, click on over to Xbox Wire.

  • roozbeh, again

    Looking forward to it.

    • Death Dealer

      Me 2 M8.

Yup.. This looks incredible. I’ve been so pumped for this game for a year now.. 2015 really is shaping up to be the year of the next gen game.. well that and the final quarter of 2014. very excited to say the least :D

  • Death Dealer

Looks awesome. Shame about it being 2015 though.

  • Vikingo84

shut up and take my money!!!!!

    • todd Wright

i don’t have any money but they can take my kidneys

      • Ron

You might want to keep one.

      • roozbeh, again

Unless you want to pee from a machine, I recommend you don’t do that.

  • Namsel

Why not showing it at E3?

    • Death Dealer

Man, they must have a gazillion games at E3 that they are not showing this (and probably because this has been pushed to 2015, so it makes a little more sense to show it later).

      • Nick Peck

It was never said to be released in 2014 though. I keep seeing sites saying it was pushed back when in fact they never said it was coming out in 2014. I think everyone assumed it would be though which is where the confusion lies. The game looks great so far and I can’t wait to see more of it.

        • Death Dealer

Yes, true, I never saw the 2014 date stamped on it either. Just really hoped it would come out this year.

  • Chris

Can’t tell much about the gameplay, but looks interesting.

  • ryder4life22187

So i thought plants vs zombies garden warfare was supposed to be an xbox exclusive. Just read it’s coming to PS4 and PS3 in august.

    • Death Dealer

It was announced as a timed exclusive at E3 last year and Pax afterwards.
Does it matter? You got to play it a whole year before anyone else.

      • ryder4life22187

I’m not sure how I had a whole year to play the game as I have a ps4 and a 360. I didn’t want to get it for the 360 but was sutpised its coming to Sony that’s all

    • Nick Peck

It was always a timed exclusive, never a console exclusive.

    • Does Not Equal

      Yeah, but that’s not a Remedy game…

    • Jedi Dna

it allways was a timed-exclusive, but this one really doesn’t matter. This game isn’t a system seller. Same thing on PS4 indies. Cool having indies but not buying a system over the other because of that!

    • John Titus

When you hear MS announce ANY third-party game, ie not owned by MS, you can expect it on other platforms. These companies have bastardized what we used to think exclusive means. Now they use it as marketing speak to trick the consumer.

  • Fingleberries

    Halo 5 – 2015
    Quantum Break – 2015
    Gears 4 – Not 2014
There must be something big at E3 in order to get all this news out of the way before E3.
Either that or they are really trying to lower expectations for E3 :)

    • Chris

Yeah all these leaks of games this last week will make for a lackluster E3 !

      • http://www.redwoodforest.com This Is A Stick

There’s almost always a few surprises. Not to mention, the whole theme of this year’s MS E3 is: Game On… so it’s got kind of high expectations.

    • Death Dealer

Hopefully Fable Legends, Forza Horizon 2, Halo Collection with the Halo 5 beta and Sunset Overdrive are all looking like titles that could be good. It doesn’t necessarily have to mean they have practically nothing left to show at E3 (which would be totally weird if it were). There will be a few big surprises, otherwise this announcing before E3 strategy makes no sense.

    • Brad

I don’t expect anything from MS this year. We already know about the AAA titles for next year and 2016 and all that is left is the official word on the Halo ports, Forza Horizon 2 and whatever indie titles they have exclusively on the console releasing this year.

That and the Showtime TV shows. and 3rd party multi-platform games makes for a meh E3 from MS. If they don’t announce Titanfall as an exclusive property moving forward, I would imagine we will start hearing about that game on other consoles very soon.

  • Gazza!!!

Either E3 is going to be something special or a complete anti climax. Please let it be the first.

  • evilfangs .

Remedy sure do love to take there time creating games. Alan Wake released back in 2010. On one hand this is a good thing as it means the game will be as great as it can be. On the other it also means we won’t see another Remedy game till 2020ish time.

Quantum Break needs to have another David Bowie ending credit song too.

    • Death Dealer

Combining it with a TV show doesn’t sound easy and is probably why it took so long IMO. It sounds very interesting.

  • Lucas Sanches Cestari

really? they announced quantum break in 2013 to release in 2015? i’ve seen big companies like activision desperate for hype, but remedy? they took this into an entire new level

    • Michael Burden

Look at Remedy’s last title, Alan Wake. Was announced prior to launch of the 360 (in 2005) and not released until 2010. By that standard, they are WAY ahead of schedule.

    • Jedi Dna

Everybody does it! The Last Guardian anyone?

      • Jan Václavík

I believe some call it The Lost Guardian…

        • Jedi Dna

whatever… You did understand it anyway…

  • ElektroDragon

Definitely buying this, but 2015? Ouch! It seems lately that next gen is really only taking off in 2015.

  • Luis Cajigas

Its Looks Like Microsoft Is Gearing Up For A Big E3 Conference If There Releasing Info Of Quantum Break Before E3.

    • John Titus

Did you notice they said no more info until Gamescon. Makes me think this video is to satisfy all those who are going to say “where was new QB info at E3″. Sounds like a typical Remedy development cycle. VERY long.

  • kftgr

lol. When Sam Lake first came out and started to talk I thought he was computer rendered. Must do something about his stiff hair and lack of facial movement. ;)

    • ElektroDragon

I’m still not sure he isn’t computer generated! LOL

      • Mr&Mrs Ninja

        Mr. Ninja: He’s a hologram.

  • Jedi Dna

    This game will be awesome!

  • LeoKurtz

Looks like it is exactly the type of game that I´m missing in my Xbox One library.
    Super excited about this!!

    • slasaru

Not only Xbox one. Everyone would love to have such game.
This kind of games should be invested in, not another crappy COD coming every year

  • Mr&Mrs Ninja

    HOLD UP! 2015? C’mon son! : (

  • guest

    OMG! That looks sick!!!
