    Links don’t work

    • mcmax3000

      Worked for me.

      • kevgallacher

Just take me to a page that says
“Ooops! What happened to this page?”

        • evilfangs .

          Same.

          • Darren Emery

Lame no UK version, once again screwed on a good looking Indy game, nice work Microsoft

  • Álvaro Ortiz Porras

NOT IN SPAIN LIKE NUTJITSU ?!?!

    • Fernando Farnochi

And nohting to Brazil? There´s no NUT JITSU and 1001 Spikes! Why?

  • Rafik Bouchaala

I guess that ID@xbox games are exclusive to the USA :(
    first nutjitsu then this…

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/bigporras Álvaro Ortiz Porras

      exactly :-(

    • mcmax3000

Worms: Battlegrounds, Strike Suit Zero, and I believe Super Time Force are all ID@Xbox games (the first two I’m sure on… Not positive about Super Time Force being one), and they aren’t US only, so it’s specific games, not ID@Xbox as a whole.

With Nutjitsu, I remember reading that the developer said it was localization, and ratings issues that were delaying release outside the US. No idea about this game.

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

nutjitsu was terrible. i mean just terrible. it is like a really bad phone game.

  • ungeheier

$5-$10 Impulse buy. $15? not so much.

  • evilfangs .

I love when games just appear out of no where without no mention before hand whats so ever.

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

i know. it seems they don’t even try to promote them except on here where maybe 100 people will notice.

  • Cagateybaila

Where are the deals of this week?

    • jase

      They r there. Forza5 peggle2 crimson dragon

      • Brian Eyekon Koehler

And for Xbox 360 users they are Forza Horizon Resident Evil Revelations Terraira and GTA 5.

        • Cagateybaila

          Thank you both.

      • mcmax3000

Forza, and Crimson Dragon sales are over. They were last week.

I had finally decided to pull the trigger on the discounted Forza 5 car pass this morning, and it was back up to regular price. Oh well.

        • ElektroDragon

WHY THE HELL WASNT THE CRIMSON DRAGON SALE ADVERTISED ON THIS SITE? Dammit…

          • mcmax3000

I thought it had been, but I guess not. It was advertised on the dashboard in that new section for Gold member perks.

  • halodudify

“Check price and availability in your Xbox LIVE region”. It only shows in dollars… Not helpful for UK.

    • evilfangs .

      You did sign in yea?

If it’s anything like the last ID game it won’t be available in the UK.

I’m getting “Ooops! What happened to this page?”.

      • halodudify

Just realised, it’s Google Chrome’s fault. It’s redirecting back to the US version of the site which is why only dollars are showing. Tried it on firefox and getting the same “Oops” message that you are getting. It’s a shame it seems to be US only :(

        • halodudify

But other games are actually showing the UK pricing on firefox

  • Gazza!!!

This is a US only release for the moment and I can’t find when its coming to other shores.

    • ImTheMetalLord

For $4.99 on the 360 and it’s been on there since 1/18/2011.

      • ImTheMetalLord

I guess it’s 1000 Spikes….and since it was on the Indie section there wasn’t achievements, so the extra cost makes sense. LOL

  • deadbox102

Anyone know anything about this game?

  • https://www.youtube.com/user/bigporras Álvaro Ortiz Porras

is an old indie PC game, but not bad…

    • Michael Kelehan

      One week is “old?”

      • ImTheMetalLord

3 1/2 years on the 360 is Old.

    • ImTheMetalLord

Been available on the 360 for $4.99 since 1.18/2011. Look on the indie section or do a search for “Spikes”.

      • ImTheMetalLord

It may actually be a different game on the 360. Not sure actually.

        • Gazza!!!

Its pretty much the same game with a few tweaks and a slight name change.

          • Mike P.

Yeah, plus a ton of new content. So, basically the same game.

          • Gazza!!!

            Basically yeah, the same game.

  • Ian Thompson

Again the UK has to wait. Last I checked we spoke the same language so localisation is a poor excuse. So we have to wait the same length of time as continental Europe? Bleh.

  • dark freedom

bad bad game. ¿15$? Really NOT.

  • FortyArcade

    Not available in Mexico =(

    • LysanderM

Be sure that you won’t need it :)

  • Ross Kemp

    Ha………$15 for this .
Go home MS and game devs or who ever set the pricing , you are drunk .

  • todd Wright

I’m not paying 15$ for an indie game i would pay 5$

    • Peter

its not the same game this had added multiplayer, story mode with arcade mode, more characters, etc. I own the older version that was 5 for 360 and this new version. Trust me their are differences.

so not true what your stating technically

  • Elan Gabriel

    No Demo.
    US only.
    15$.

ID@Xbox, would you please wake up ?

    • buzzyon

Seriously, wtf is going on? I’ve never heard a game releasing in the US but not Canada. So far there have been two ID@Xbox that aren’t available here.

  • Please Clarify

That cover image is a copyright infringement. It’s ripped from a 1984 Commodore 64 game “Indiana Jones in the Lost Kingdom” developed by Michael J. Hansen and published by Mindscape.

    • FortyArcade

That’s true, it’s the same image just with a little few changes. This remind me the similarity between the box art of Castlevania 2 and Ravenloft.

    • ImTheMetalLord

Mindscape defiantly could have itself a lawsuit on this one for sure!!!

      • Michael Burden

Except Mindscape shuttered their doors in 2011.

        • ImTheMetalLord

Mindscape makes the Sniper Elite games as well as many others. You saying that’s a different company?

          • Michael Burden

Totally different company, the Mindscape in question closed their last game studio in 2011 and were originally based in Illinois then passed around for a while. From what I can tell, the Netherlands company is not a developer but a distributer.

Rebellion developed many (if not all, didn’t check that far) of the Sniper Elite games.

    • ImTheMetalLord

Sine the company is in the Netherlands they may not hold a US copy protection on that image.

    • Gazza!!!

Its probably more a homage and the copy right has might have expired by now. Nice spot however, its been a long, long time since I last saw it.

    • ElvinB

Actually it’s ripped from the theatrical poster for the film “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” which predates that game (I’m sure the game used the image with permission, since it was based on a film property). If anything, Lucasfilm and Paramount are the ones being infringed on.

    • https://twitter.com/Ganon255 Ganon255

      oh no, call the cops!!!!

  • m1nh0ca

FYI: GTA IV is on sale, keeping the E3 and holiday weeks tradition, when they don’t want to make too much effort including other deals.

  • Raul Rangel

I’ll wait till it’s free! No a big fan of indie games anyways.

  • Fred Gomez

The 80’s called….they want their game back.

    • https://twitter.com/Ganon255 Ganon255

2014 called….they want you to shut up

      • Jon Conca

No they don’t the guy is right.. You can’t release a game like this nowadays and expect not to get bashed.

        • https://twitter.com/Ganon255 Ganon255

You obviously don’t get it. This game is for fans of retro games and gamers who like hard games. I liked and had no problem supporting this indie game and I hope the developer gets a chance to make more games by my support. Not every game needs to be a AAA big budget title. This is a niche title, just because you’re not interested, that doesn’t mean the game sucks. There is room for games like this. I love these 8-bit retro games.

Have you ever listened to indie music before? Sometimes the bands may not have to the money to make the album they want, but they make one anyway with the limited resources they have. Same here, maybe someday, with some practice and early success, the developer will get to make the game of their dreams with a bigger budget and better resources.

Don’t worry though, dude-bro, moar Call of Duty is coming down the pipe for you.

  • Peter

Bought this for ps4 because nowhere did i see this mentioned as coming for x1 unless i missed something. Ugh..woulda rather had this to add to my xb gamerscore. instead since i use the ps for exclusives.

That said whether or not its worth 15 bucks is kinda hard to gauge, I thought the Time game and that was a crappy retro tie in and was all hype and felt it was a waste at that price. Played the original for 360 and it wasn’t bad, and for a second kinda confused this new version with the other one which is called abadon and the 1000 spikes and this one is just 1000 spikes i suppose. But yeah they added new characters, multiplayer, etc and yeah there are differences.

At 15 bucks? kinda hard to say if its worth the price. I mean its fun if you like your old retro nes style hard platformers. If it was more like 9.99 it would have been better price wise

Doing a disservice though by not offering a demo as most people would probably be put off my the graphics and cost. Its still a fun game and worth a go

    • Catalyst

For someone who played the original, you seemed to put very little effort into researching this game before purchasing. The original game was a 360 exclusive, and the sequel was toted as coming to every platform on nearly every article about it. Also, though there is not a demo (a fault of the dev, and not Microsoft), someone can always stream a video clip of the game right next to where they can buy it before doing so. Just seems like a lot of complaining could have been avoided with a little more research…

      • Peter

Wasn’t complaining really persay. I played the original but yeah there is room for confusion albelit minor. I’m not a major fan tracking its status and took me a little time to realize this is a fully new sequel. The first was called abadon and the 1000 spikes; however nobody called it that they just called it 1000 spikes, same as this new version. So yeah minor headwringing.

Also nowhere did i see this announced for x1 all press releases i saw said other platforms except x1. don’t have the links right now but saw ps4,etc.

        • Catalyst

Fair. Yeah, the confusion with the name change didn’t help, and just adding 1 to the title to make it a sequel was a little misleading. Also, most of the media focused on the other consoles, because the One was a week later, so many sites either didn’t have it, or they had it in a more confusing location. Destructoid and Game Informer being examples.

    • http://www.twitch.tv/type105x/profile Paul 105x

Does twitch work with it on the xbox one?

  • digitallife

I’d rather pay $15 for this than give Capcom another ten bucks for their dlc…last time I buy a season pass….

    • digitallife

      Sorry if you disagree…

    • Peter

i dunno the latest Dead rising dlc at 10 bucks is damn good

      • digitallife

On top of $89.31 i’ve spent on it already…not that compelling…

    • Michael Burden

Didn’t you get everything promised in the Season Pass that was announced for it? YES.

A Season Pass does not entitle you to everything ever to be released for the game, only the items they specify when it is announced. This was never announced as part of the Season Pass so naturally is not included.

      • digitallife

You do realize the season pass early on stated all DLC for Dead Rising 3. Considering the DLC released is not a standalone and requires the actual game disc in order to work..no I didn’t get everything as promoted. How does a season pass for DLC not include all DLC? Sorry if this was a stand a lone game on it’s own i’d be fine but this is not that. They also didn’t advertise the season pass as limited to anything when I bought it..otherwise I would’ve just bought the dlc’s individually.

        • Michael Burden

You are completely WRONG if you believe that. It was stated from the beginning the Season Pass for Dead Rising 3 included FOUR pieces of campaign/story additions for the price of THREE. That is even plainly stated on the Xbox Store description – “Enjoy all 4 episodes of the Untold Stories of Los Peridos including over 20 additional weapons, 4 new vehicles and 4 new playable characters with brand new stories and missions.” All four expansions in the Season Pass were even listed by name before the launch of the game/Xbox One – see Joytstiq on 10/30/2013 for confirmation.

No where is it stated on ANY Season Pass that it includes ALL upcoming DLC – you are always informed as to how many pieces of DLC you will receive and generally are given an idea as to what they might be. That is a faulty assumption on your part based on a sense of entitlement and failure to read what you are actually purchasing. I suggest you read what you are actually purchasing in the future so you don’t look this foolish again.

          • digitallife

“That is a faulty assumption on your part based on a sense of entitlement and failure to read what you are actually purchasing.”

Ok since you feel that way…Who the fk asked you for all that? I mean seriously you couldn’t simply reply without being a complete and utterly rude about it? Did you read what I read? No. Do you know the information I had when I purchased this? No. Was it your money? No. Does this even matter to you? NO. ok now that we’ve gotten that out of the way. Thanks.i’m glad you could go so far in such a condescending nature…calm the fk down. Try to be a wee bit nicer and not such a d**k.

          • Kravex

“I mean seriously you couldn’t simply reply without being a complete and utterly rude about it?”

He did reply but you basically (and falsely) called him a liar.

          • digitallife

The facts of what information I had at the time of purchase still stands…in fact i’m the one being called a liar despite the fact i’ve stated my opinion. An opinion cannot be a lie, it is a take on something from that individuals perspective. Nothing he has stated proves otherwise. He doesn’t know what my regional advertising for a product is if he lives in another one.

          • Michael Burden

Sorry if I hurt your feelings with the entitlement jab, but I stand behind the rest of what I said. You were the one under a false assumption that the Season Pass would include any and all DLC released for the game and never bothered to research it. I just pointed out your error with references to back it up, such as showing this was in the news nearly a month before the game was even out and reference the Xbox Store page description – which you would have seen when you bought the pass. Not to add salt to the wound, but I believe the details of the Season Pass were even listed on this very blog, which we all know you read.

Your have no reason to complain about this at all, as all the information was there before as well as when you purchased the pass. That was the reason I felt I had to post – you were raging over a non-issue and passing along false information. Capcom has done some shady things in the past worth getting riled up over (such as locked DLC on disc), but this isn’t one of them as they delivered what was promised in the Season Pass.

          • digitallife

Actually as I have stated what I read at the time of purchase is something completely different than what you are stating. Why would I waste my time telling you something if it wasn’t true. At the time I paid for my download code there was nothing that said it was limited to 4 story driven dlc’s. The place I bought it from didn’t inform me of that either. Just because you read an article somewhere does not mean I read that article or that the promotional materials where I live had that same information you’d seen. The fact that Capcom itself has admitted as much in email form more than suffices for me.

  • ElektroDragon

No, not more pixelated garbage with the excuse that its “retro”. When the characters have less detail than an NES game, you know something’s not right. Sorry, but I wouldn’t even pay $1 for this on my phone.

    • Mike P.

Really? You call Thief fantastic and then call this garbage?

  • Peter

Paid 60 for thief and i felt cheated considering how bland and dull and boring it was.

Least this game at 15 i enjoyed picking up and playing

    • ElektroDragon

      I think Thief is fantastic.

  • Alex Tran

Peggle 2 is 50% off on Xbox One right now.

  • ElvinB

Nice job completely ripping off the theatrical poster for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Hope they got permission.

    • Peter

I don’t believe you can technically copyright a pose or position. Not a copyright lawyer though. Alot of movie posters album covers look do that as well

  • LysanderM

    RAM 8GB DDR3

Hurray! No other devices would run this game. Now I can play it on XB1…

    • Fred Gomez

^Lmao! I said the 80’s called and wanted their game back….

  • Mike P.

Who made you buy it? You realize this is a choice, and this is an indie, one among many games coming out right?

    • Edward Blanchard

I was one of the few people who were forced to buy it by a court order … if you Google it there is a news article about us. Long story short, we were sued by Microsoft and the judgment entered required us to purchase an XB1.

  • Guest

God bless Major Nelson, the average IQ of your commenters is embarrassingly low, I’m not sure how you can stand it.

    • Guest

That’s the loser at real life Sony tards that suck welfare and sit behind a desk 24/7 because of their obesity.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

played it. terrible. don’t waste your money or time people. best thing about it is the picture above.

    • Michael Burden

Which (as others have pointed out) is a blatant rip-off of the cover of an old Indiana Jones game for the Commodore 64.

      • Mr&Mrs Ninja

It also looks like it was made for for the Commodore 64! lol

  • itsjustme

Hey guys, there is no mention of this week’s Deals with Gold. I had to search elsewhere for the info. I like to see everyone’s comments each week. Complaints, rejoicing, speculations, nerd rage… you know, whatever.

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/bigporras Álvaro Ortiz Porras

      Peggle 2 50%, not bad…

      • itsjustme

I’m not a fan of puzzle games. I lost interest while watching a 5 minute review. Peggle, piggle, puggle, meh.

The money I have right now will probably be put toward my student loans. No next-generation console, for me.

        MAMA! BUY ME XBONE!

Soon, I’ll have the money, but not the time, to play all the videogames I want.

      • GmailIsDown

i hope they could bring back that weekend flash sale. about Tomb Raider, Thief, etc. for $30 each.

    • Michael Burden

They just added a sale on Dead Rising 3 ($39.99) and its Season Pass ($19.99) I noticed last night.

  • Peter Pwn
