    Dear Microsoft,

    Not interested.

    Yours faithfully

    The rest of the world.

    • Randall

uh, speak for yourself, not the rest of the world. move along.

      • http://www.kevin-fell.co.uk/ Kevin Fell

Relax. It was meant to be humorous. I’m not literally about to address the world on behalf of everyone and highlight baseball isn’t a popular sport outside the land of the free.

        • KCWizard72

…and Japan, Cuba, DM, and the rest of the Western Hemisphere…

          • Jorge Garza

            Dont forget México

          • bickle2

Taiwan used to win the a little league World Series all the time

    • http://ryan.snook.us/ Snook

      Not speaking for me.

    • Gazza!!!

LOL well put seeing as this is only out in the US of A and no where else.

    • ElektroDragon

I’m in the US and I’m still not interested. However, baseball is big in Japan! So there’s that.

    • Tracy Babb

I love baseball, but that’s one of the reasons why I have a PS3 in addition to my xbox 360 and xbox one. I bought MLB 14 The Show so I could actually enjoy my baseball game.

      • Dylan

MLB The Show is great. But I hope EA steps up to the plate and brings back their excellent MVP Baseball series. Loved those games.

      • bickle2

Really? Because Imdont buy those horribly over complicated games because I want to enjoy them. This game scrappy quality and price made me sad, but it’s the kind of gameplay that encourages actual fun when dine competently

    • maxy

Why the hell you are here then?

  • Jon Taylor

So how much are we expected to shell out for this undiscovered masterpiece?…

    • chrisbaker3

      • Jon Taylor

        Lol….no chance

  • Davey Maguire

I’ve been waiting over 25 years this! I played hundreds of hours of the original as a child. I hope it plays close to the original. Nice and Simple and from what I hear it does. Buying this as soon as I get home. Can’t wait!

    • Scott Beasley

If you loved the NES version then prepare to be disappointed, the engine here is based off the genesis version with pretty much the same animations. They also changed all the music. I was super disappointed with the 360 version and this is pretty much the same.

  • E-realist

A little over a gig, should be 5-10$ at most. And people wonder why consumers are moving to mobile gaming. They dont overcharge for arcade games. This is simply not a $20 game.

    • Death Dealer

I agree with you that this isn’t worth $20, I disagree with you that price should be proportionate to install size.

      • E-realist

True I shouldnt have tied the two together like that i kind of was just writing thoughts down without any organization. I just saw the graphics and style and thought this game shouldnt be 20 dollars

    • usrev

skyrim was 4gb. you can’t go off install size.

    • Some guy

Well, I could argue that mobiles game used to be free(and still are) on flash game sites and that putting a price on them is overcharging.

    • roozbeh, again

Minecraft is what? 200MBs on Xbox 360, so that doesn’t deserve 20$?

      Flawed logic.

  • Dave Breadner

I wish they would have given us the whole roster, especially with the pitchers. The 4 pitchers only aspect of the original is certainly not a favorite of mine, especially with a full season.

  • jase

    Is game like rounders?

  • http://www.jpitta.com/ PittaMan

Store pages really need to mention if there is online multiplayer or not. Treat them like the back-of-the-box. What is going on @ Xbox… FML

  • https://www.youtube.com/user/bigporras Álvaro Ortiz Porras

    again not for Europe…again….
    bravo, claps, bravo…

    • bickle2

MLB doesn’t operate in Europe to my knowledge, it’s the same reason. Cricket games don’t come to the US

    • kaepteniglo

Change your Console to US and buy it, than change it back to your country and download & play it.

  • John Smith

Anyone know if this is Retail vs Arcade vs Indie? I can’t tell anymore with the One.

    • Locke

      Xbox 360 version is Arcade

    • Will Muscat

It’s an id@xbox title, however don’t let that get in the way. A few of the ID@xbox titles have been of arcade quality.

  • Mr&Mrs Ninja

Mr Ninja: Is game good? There’s noooooo demo & I can’t tell from just looking at twitch. Man I wish the new ultra street fighter was on x1 ; ) *wink wink* MS

  • deadbox102

I appreciate all the games being delivered, but the pricing is a snag.

  • Tony Streetman

No home run derby? I spent $20 on this game without doing my research… I got burned.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

LOL remember when this came out on 360 and no one bought it? yeah lets put it out on xbox one and they will come or not. probably not. im a rocket man.

  • Michel Simmons

When will either Microsoft or the developers realize these bite sized games don’t equate to a $20 price tag simply because we are playing them on a console. This same game could easily be ported to ios or android. Games like this really are $9.99 our bust.

    • http://angryfacing.com/ Nick

Developers choose these prices, so don’t blame Microsoft at all. I do completely agree that this game, and a handful of others are NOT worth the $20 tag that developers expect people to pay for them. Definitely a $10 top game.

  • Death Dealer

OK, I’m going to try and not make this sound like a snare, it’s constructive criticism, believe me.

    Dear Microsoft,
Why, oh why aren’t there demos for these spruced up Xbox 360 ports on the Xbox One?
We understand the liberties given to developers now that all games fall under the “Games” nomer and that there is no more “Arcade”, that required mandatory trials, on the Xbox One. The downside to this is your demo policy.
Could you please, pretty please, give developers the freedom to release their demos for these port games for FREE on the Xbox One? Maybe let them leave that Arcade version with integrated trial intact and adapt your own Store to this, so that it goes both ways, with and without integrated demo?
We get that there are Xbox 360 versions with a trial that people can try out, but what about the people that just “jumped in” and only have an Xbox One?
Please don’t forget about them…they are your future customers.

    • Avalanchian

Demos are up to the developers/publishers. This game was done by MLB so ask them for the demo.

      • Death Dealer

And you don’t get it. This game has a demo on the Xbox 360.
Do you really think they’d want that extra work removed for no reason?

        • bickle2

No, you’re the one who doesn’t get it. “That work” has to be redone on the X1, and since the game is probably selling terribly due to it’s stupidly high price, and poor quality (and don’t have multiplayer till next month) they don’t want to spend the money. Demos are required on x360. So if you want to try it, download that version.

          • Death Dealer

Wrong. The demo already exists and sure the game requires some work to make the game look better on the Xbox One, this doesn’t negate the fact that the demo already exists in their code that only requires a recompilation to run on the Xbox One.
Yes, demos are required on the Xbox 360, under the Arcade section. That’s why it’s stupid that there is no demo for this “Arcade” game on the Xbox One because of this policy change that now requires developers to make a separate demo.

          • Avalanchian

You’re so wrong again. There is a demo for the PS3 version of the game, but guess what… the PS4 doesn’t have a demo. Put 2 and 2 together. It’s not MS’s fault it’s all MLB not putting a demo on next-gens.

          • Death Dealer

PlayStation never had integrated demos, even on the PS3. Put 2 and 2 together and once again you don’t get it.

  • Gazza!!!

If you are buying this because you have fond memories of it as kid, don’t. Save your money and get Another World instead, better priced and much more fun.

    • yassine db

yeah 2 games released today on Xbox One are much fun: Another World and valiant hearts. try them out.

  • Nathanzz

Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Xbox One. Just in time for the 4th of July.
