Arcade, Game Add-on, Marketplace, Xbox 360, Xbox 360 Games On Demand, Xbox Games Store, Xbox One By Jeff Rubenstein

  • cubs223425

Wow, this is the illustrious Deals with Gold that they hyped as being new and improved in June?

Do the people at Microsoft realize that the majority of folks aren’t going to spend MORE money for a digital copy of a game when the physical copy comes with the option to trade it in as well?

  • https://www.youtube.com/user/bigporras Álvaro Ortiz Porras

    17% off Ryse??? 17%!!! SERIUSLY?!?! omg…

  • skullivan

Was expecting this to be $20 on sale since it was $40 months ago. Or even a Games with Gold title. This is the exact reason no one was on board with MS’s original digital vision for the Xbox, digital games should cost less than retail games, not more. They just don’t get it.

    • Nick King

I was expecting at least 33% off like Forza 5 or 50%, sorry 40% like Tomb Raider.

  • Derek D

Not to sound like a jerk, but will the Europeans who frequent this site, please stop complaining about how your euro is more expensive. I would really think that’s an issue you should complain about to your countries government, not an American software company based out of Seattle. LOL

    • Please Clarify

Don’t you understand that these ridiculous currency conversions are made by US companies, not European governments? The difference is far more than VAT.

      • Maritox

on the other hand here in Argentina weird stuff happens. Sometimes the Arcade titles are cheaper in our local store than the US store, but the on demand titles are cheaper on the US Store than local

    • Nick King

I don’t think the government price the games.
What we are saying is $49.99 isn’t £49.99 or €49.99 but that’s how things seem to be priced. Once I’ve spent the £100 I have in my Microsoft account I’m going to start buying from the US or Canadian store, not only are games available 3 days earlier but they are generally £10-£15 cheaper.

      • Derek D

Yes, but isn’t the difference all relative? If the euro is more expensive then that should imply that in Europe the cost of living is higher.

        • Nick King

Most things are a rip off in the UK compared to the USA, petrol for example, a pair of Levi’s, 99% of electronic goods and console games :-)

    • Bennijin

Actually MS jacked the prices up in November, I have every right to complain and not buy things that are too expensive. Rights I intend to use to their fullest.

      • chris

Yeah, same thing here in Australia. When we first went to paying everything with money our prices were similar to the US prices. Then out of nowhere they started to charge more.

    • Some guy

I remember the time we used MS points and everything was almost half cheaper in Europe and can understand why they’d be mad.

  • John Smith

17% off? My goodness, MS is really bringing out the big guns for Deals With Gold. Play your monthly free games Sony, I got $10 off Ryse!

  • ambuckle

Honestly at 17% off you shouldn’t have even bothered.

    • Nick King

Perhaps someone cocked up and it’s 50% off Ryse and 17% off the add-on :-)

  • mauszx

Is this the so called Summer Sale?

    • Death Dealer

      No.

  • Peter

Weird that sega is selling sonic 2; but not sonic 1, sonic 3, nor knuckles on sale

would get 1 and 3 for a full set but yeah you need to kinda go under the 5 buck barrier a bit for me to bite for those oldies but goodies

  • Mário Okamura

Tomb Rider 50% to 40% MS still time to change Ryse 17% to 50% to compensate this bad joke

    • Nick King

50% I’d buy it now, 33% I’d probably still buy it, 17% no chance.

  • Steven Heuer

Like the 360 selection this week, but can you please increase the USB storage restriction?

    • Peter

we have tried we have begged we have pleaded for a long time. Sigh….file that under not likely given ms’s deliberate silence on the issue. Long as they sell their overpriced/undersized proprietary drives it’ll continue. Also it looks like the 360 will continue for awhile until the x1 hits its stride.

My only hope is that at LEAST when they discontinue support for the 360 they finally let that one go as a final patch.

      • Steven Heuer

I don’t get it. Maybe someone can explain it. What benefit does microsoft have in not upping the restrictions on drive support? The 32 gb limit seems so contrived. I’m not seeing how there would be performance issues by increasing it, but maybe I’m wrong. MS is all about building your digital library now, but they are not giving us the tools to conveniently do it.

        • Some Person

It’s a XFAT format restriction and would require major work to get around. Bluntly speaking it’s not worth it to Microsoft.

        • Some guy

The future is the xbone, they stopped supporting the 360 around 2010. I’d wish they’d so something about the “related games” thing too because most of the time they make no sense.

        • Peter

Well if you look at it in the sense that ms does still sell proprietary hd’s for the system and its not open to anyone else selling such drives. Modchips clearly show that external support beyond 32 is obviously possible. So ms claiming it can’t is obvious b.s

MS isn’t above gimping their own hardware to sell proprietary stuff While obviously not the only company that does this ie: apple for one.

The X1 for example CAN support 360 controllers which they give the b.s its completely different yeah right.Use a cronusmax and its clear they did that on purpose its a normal controller with inputs like any other. Nothing radically different there.

Implemented a proprietary headphone adapter which they can sell to you gladly for 25 bucks for a cheap plastic converter.

The list goes on. MS thinks that we buy their b.s which is insulting.

  • kingcrusher

I’m assuming Ryse will be the next “free” game for Live members and they are just trying to squeeze a few extra bucks out of it.

    • Peter

agreed the scent of desperation is permeating this discount.

trying to grab some desperate extra bucks while they can hold on. My only q is the season pass if it will go stay at that range or will ms try to jack it back up again?

    • Paul Josephson

If they want to piss some people off who buy it at 17% off that would be a good way. Buy today and in a week it is free. This applies to any sale item. If it were more than a month fine. If this happens (sale then free) then next month, even if it is an actual good sale nobody (OK some will) buy it because people will assume the next free item will be the sale item.
Furthermore, this Xbox One sale just shows how out of touch Microsoft is with this digital experiment. Currently disc version is 25% off at Amazon (and I have seen better). Why are we buying digital? With digital there is never a deal compared to an actual disc, no preordering, no resale, no sharing. Oh yeah, we have to get up to replace the disc once in a while (I see why digital is a winner now /s)
As for the free game I suspect the next main game will be a sport game, maybe Rayman. Perhaps, Ryse but it still seems unlikely.
Of the 2 free games one is supposed to be a digital only game. That has me more wondering what it could. Perhaps, Nutjitsu?

      • Peter

nut no as its too new and recent. Has to be games that have been out for awhile and they usually put it on sale multiple times in last attempt bids to squeeze out some last sales. Also helps if ms published it. Ryse may not come for awhile gwg but if you hold out I’m sure it will eventually.

Powersh-t golf did the whole crappy nobody really cared discount sale multiple times and i assumed it would eventually go the gwg route. Instead they did a twist where they basically broke it up as p2p route of breaking up into pieces and basically came back up again in price. Not sure anyone expected that tactic. Kinda genius method. I fully expected it to hit clearance bin and become gwg.

  • King

Anarchy Reigns is fun if you can get a lobby of 4+ friends going considering the online is pretty dead unfortunately. Vanquish,Diablo,Sonic EP1,Ep2,generations all good titles. PayDay 2 can be fun…but you need friends, coordinated ones at that.Fable Heroes is also some light hearted fun with couch co-op

  • ChelseaGrinK

Can anyone tell me with would be better to buy? VF FS 5 or VF5, from what i’ve played with the demos, the VF FS feels better, but the quest thing on VF 5 have anything to do with the story?

    • Jesse Meating

Final Showdown is better in my opinion.

    • Sigognac

Officially, Final Showdown have lightly better graphic elements, mechanics and animations that had been reworked. There is two more fighters: Jean Kujo and Taka-Arashi. Having only played the original (the different screen presentation made a difference for me), I do not know the difference about the story mode, and it appears that Showdown have its part of “DLC”. But finally, as this is a digital purchase, Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is in fact more achieved.

    • Bennijin

Get Final Showdown, it’s the finalised version of the game. Virtua Fighter’s story literally only exists in instruction manuals, SEGA have never focused on it.

  • http://people.ign.com/ltsjoemama ltsJoeMama

These sales are really terrible when comparing to what’s going on with the Steam summer sale.

    • Does Not Equal

      So don’t compare them.

      • http://people.ign.com/ltsjoemama ltsJoeMama

Why not? Should we be happy with terrible deals from MS? You guys are so blind.

        • Does Not Equal

Not at all. You just can’t compare the two.

  • Jessie Pozos

    $10 off Ryse?
I can go to gamefly and that game is currently $17.99 not to mention I can resell it and make nearly all of it back. Microsoft is really out of touch. Enjoy your steam sale, enjoy the ps+ free games… we get $10 off Ryse

  • Harold Rivera

Why no bayonetta?! Anarchy Reings it is then :(

    • Does Not Equal

Yeah, I’ve been wanting Bayonetta digital for a good price.

    • Sknots

Vanquish is awesome too and its the same guys Platinum Games, they never disappoint trust me

  • Nikki Mond

Ryse Microsoft super sale for gold members 57 €.
Ryse at the retail store 5 minutes away 45 €
Diablo xbox 360 in microsofts super gold member sale 29,99 €
At the retail store it costs 19,99 €

  • Rafik Bouchaala

10$ is actually Microsoft cut off the game price. Crytek and Microsoft are in a disagreement and they even cancelled Ryse 2 development because of dispute about who’s going to be the owner of the IP. Microsoft was publisher and even funded Ryse development but Crytek retained the IP. There is also alot of rumours going around about crytek not paying employees in time and that it is about to go bankrupt…

So according to the latest rumors, MS tried to discount ryse for us, reached Crytek to confirm price. Since Both companies just cancelled Ryse 2 back in march and they basicaly hate each other lol, Crytek told MS to go F them selves. And because MS already promised us a deal for Ryse this month, they simply discounted their own cut of the full 60$ price.

(MS is only publisher of the game, The IP is a property of Crytek)

    • Blankman6

Where’s the source of this info?

      • Rafik Bouchaala

everywhere, go to xbox one subreddit. there is alot of information about crytek is in deep financial problems and there is also a handful of articles about MS and Crytek dropping ryse 2 development, the rest is pure speculation based on these information made by me :D

        • Blankman6

Crytek’s financial situation has been well documented along with the cancellation of Ryse. However, it’s just conjecture that Crytek refuses to budge on the amount of discounting for the digital d/l of Ryse. That $10 hit on MS’ chin is giving them far too much credit. Since MS published the game, they have far greater control of the pricing format than you’d believe.

          • Rafik Bouchaala

The owner of the Ip controls the price, this how it works in the industry I’m involved in (not video games obviously).

Microsoft would have had the control on the pricing if Ryse was it’s property. what happened in this case is that Crytek showed MS a prototype of Ryse, asking if MS would finance the project and get an exclusivity deal in return while crytek retain the owner ship of the game.

I will give you an easier example: If I make a phone game and publish it through google play. Google is the publisher, I’m the owner! I decide what is the price my game is going to sell for. Google just take a cut from it.

          • Blankman6

You are aware that MS funded the development of Ryse, right? They weren’t just the publisher, but the primary source of funding for the game. Therefore, MS has a large say in what the pricing is. That renders your example a moot point.

          • Rafik Bouchaala

they got the exclusivity of the title to the xbox one for funding the project dude. MS was desperate for an exclusive, they should have had the ownership of the IP since they funded it all the way and even published it.

They asked for ownership of the title in return of finding a sequel, Crytek refused even though they need the money (Crytek family owner are stupid and arrogant)

Mass effect 1 on xbox 360 is another example exactly like Ryse. Microsoft funded the project and published it but had no control over the IP what so ever. All they got in return was exclusivity.

          • Jessie Pozos

By your logic, Valve owns 95% of games since they reduce everything.

    • joevsyou

interesting, I was looking forward to ryse 2, first one sure had flaws but i think it was a solid ip. With crytek, I really think they are a crappy studio and honestly wouldn’t care if they went out of business. nearly every game i play from them looks nice but the gameplay is just trash.

      • Dylan

Maybe their collapse could mean a real, caring, company can take care of the currently dormant Timesplitters property.

      • slasaru

This way Ryse II will be a multiplatform

    • Some guy

Would be a shame if some terrible company like EA were to buy Crytek’s IP such as Timesplitters and turn it into a mobile pay2win game and shut down the fan game(not that it would ever be finished)

    • Jessie Pozos

By your logic, Valve owns 95% of games since they reduce everything…

      • Rafik Bouchaala

Valve doesn’t reduce games on it’s own, they always ask the owner for permission and that have been talked about many times on the internet.
they convince the owners because steam is a DRM where you can’t share or resell your game after redeeming it :P

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

Vanquish is such a great sleeper. i wish they would make a sequel and condemned 3 would be nice.

    • joevsyou

      true!

  • Stephen Nowak

go, go sonic. Hopefully multilayer is up online.

    • Bennijin

Unfortunately the multiplayer for Sonic 2 never worked properly, Player 2 gets about one second of input lag. Also odd they would only discount that one Sonic game of the four classics. Sonic 4 episodes have been cheaper too.

Taxman’s update to Sonic 2 on mobiles has multiplayer on EVERY LEVEL, I’m hoping we get that.

      • Stephen Nowak

what is taxman’s update? is that for android and ipone?

how about sonic 4 episode 2′s online co-op play, is that any good?

        • Bennijin

Taxman (Christian Whitehead) was the man mostly responsible for Sonic CD’s updated rerelease. He and another hacker, Stealth, have worked together on updated rereleases of Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 for iOS and Android with new features and even levels.

Sadly there have been no plans to release these versions on consoles yet (the Backbone ports are a bit poo) but it’s plausible that SEGA may wait for updated versions of Sonic 3 and Knuckles to come to fruition then release the lot on consoles as a collection.

As for Sonic 4 Episode 2′s online co-op, it’s not bad (and you’ll need to use it to get one of the achievements) but short of letting you play as Tails it brings nothing new to the table. it does at least work, though.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

ryse is the perfect rental game. it takes about 5 hours to get through it.

  • Some Person

So a bunch of 5-10 year old games get $10 off their price tag and Microsoft calls it a sale? I keep a Gold subscription for the sales, free games, and apps. It seems we don’t need it for the apps anymore, the sales repeat or are being made open to everyone (Only really decent buys right now is Alpha Protocol and possibly Condemned; both of which are on sale for everyone), and there’s been one decent game with the free games platform the past few months that I didn’t already have. It seems it’s time to cancel the gold membership.

    • Some guy

Sonic Generation for 8$ and Vanquish/Viking for 5$ is also a good sale.
And obviously sonic 2 for people that didn’t buy it yet.
Funny, I was waiting for a great Gold sale to renew and get the GWG as well, seems I’ll have to wait an other week.

      • Some Person

Yeah you’re right about Sonic 2… I’ve not enjoyed the later Sonic games… Vanquish is like $7 or $8 not $5 and Viking is pretty bad…

  • Soldier Zero B

Lego The Lord of the Rings at $7 is a nice deal!

  • Death Dealer

Partly on topic: MS could you hire the 30 people that were laid off at Crytek UK?

    • Mr&Mrs Ninja

…and while you’re at it buy Capcom.

      • Harold Rivera

        Please dont.

        • Mr&Mrs Ninja

          lol

      • Professor Oak

I could Nintendo or Sony jumping at it first…. for many reasons

        • Mr&Mrs Ninja

H#ll yes! Xbox will drag their feet but I definitely see Sony or Nintendo buying Capcom. A lot of awesome forgotten franchises are just waiting to be revived!

          • Professor Oak

Microsoft may be able to, with Nintendo Dealing with Philips over copyright and sony loosing money on every console sale…. it is possible

  • Smegtasticus

I wouldn’t play Alpha Protocol if you paid me.

    • Peter

agreed AP while not bad persay is really really really vanilla plain. Simple spy shooter cliche game and gameplay isn’t that good. Very lackluster, Trust me save your 5 bucks and pass or use that towards anything else vanquish or anything else here

      • Smegtasticus

I made the mistake of picking it up from a bargain bin once. I figured Obsidian made some games I liked (KOTOR II, Fallout: New Vegas), plus spy RPGs aren’t very common= win. I was so very wrong. The action gameplay was clunky as hell, and I hated the hacking mini-game with a passion. Talk about eyestraining. Needless to say, traded it in…

        • Dylan

Obsidian has an excellent track record, don’t forget to add South Park: Stick of Truth to that list!

They’ve surpassed Bioware as far as I’m concerned. CD Project Red and Obsidian are the only two RPG developers left that put heart and soul into most of their works.

          • Some guy

Agreed, too bad they put so much stuff in their games they run out of money before finishing the game. I’m surprised they managed to finish Stick of truth(even if it took them half a decade to do so)

  • Mando44646

Are you kidding? $50 for a launch game? On what planet can that be called a sale? It doesn’t even bother price matching GameStop. What a joke

    • smber2c

Calling it a “sale” is rather dumb, at this point all those launch games should have price drops to $50 or more realistically even less. Chance I buy any of the launch games I missed for over $30 is essentially zero.

  • Luis Cajigas

Still Waiting For The Ultimate Summer Sale.

    • Brian Eyekon Koehler

Hopefully they have an Ultimate Summer Sale this year.

  • Sknots

I have to highly recommend VANQUISH its a great game, its challenging, stylish, awesome presentation and brutally fun, Platinum games has never failed me :p and its a great price for it, my only complain is that i didnt find the story too good, its just decent but everything else is Excellent

    • Sknots

Avoid Alpha Protocol its terrible, feels like a cheap ps2 game

  • Bennijin

    Meanwhile on Steam.
    LEGO The Hobbit – £5.74
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes – £3.74
LEGO Lord of the Rings – £3.74
    LEGO Batman 2 – £3.74
    LEGO Batman – £2.49
    LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 – £2.49
    LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 – £3.74

And most of these other deals are pap too. Step it up!
See what your rivals are offering and beat them!

    • Brian Eyekon Koehler

Yea but you need a gaming pc to play those not like they are ever gonna release a steam box or allow steam to be played on your tv any time soon

      • Sknots

        Touche

      • Some guy

Are LEGO games so demanding that you need a gaming PC to play them?

      • Gary Eller

I hope you are being sarcastic….

        • Brian Eyekon Koehler

Yea I was but I hate people who compare steam to PSN and Xbox Live. Microsoft and Sony doesnt view steam as competition so they wont set competitive prices.

  • Gary Eller

So this is $44.99 on amazon and you have it as a digital copy for $50? Fail.

    • Frank Awesome

To MSFT it’s all about convenience and many people will impulse buy these products so they don’t have to wait.

  • TheSchwartz

I’ve grown tired of waiting for MSFT to get serious about digital pricing. Today I finally went to Craigslist and bought Ryse and Dead Rising for $45 total. I like buying new and supporting developers, but this is getting ridiculous.

    • Rafik Bouchaala

this is what making the devs losing money. they want us to pay full price or almost for 8 months old games then they start crying when we go to used market lol. why don’t they adjust their prices? Imagine how many copies Ryse would sell at 30$! 10 000 at least if not more. Crytek would have got about 300k – 500k $ of cash to pay their employees (they are in deep financial crisis)

But with this deal and pricing they would be so lucky to sell 1000 copies and simply make way less money. Bad management and pricing is what killing The game industry. It’s turning into cinema industry where just few Big corporations owns 99% of the studios and publish 99% of the films…

      • Some Person

Your logic is severely flawed. Movies come out on BluRay 6+ months after the theatre and charge $20-$30 (more than ticket prices) and TV shows generally come out before the next season starts (around 9 months) for $60+. 8 months isn’t a significant amount of time, you just want free stuff and it’s pathetic.

        • llortretsam

Your comparing watching a movie ONCE in theaters and owning a disc that you can put in and watch any time you want, that’s not even remotely the same thing and TV series?… No one asked to receive Ryse for free, just a better discount than a measly 17% off a game that scored very badly with critics and didn’t sell well enough to cover development expenses. Like others have stated this game can be bought else where for cheaper, so yeah i think 8 months IS a significant amount of time, at least in the game industry… Myself, I wouldn’t buy Ryse if it was 90% off, it’s a horrible game.

          • Nick Peck

Have you even played it? It’s a very fun game with a great story / characters. I liked it and thought it was worth the $60. Obviously depending on the studios future and if they (or anyone else) make a sequel, there are things that can be fine tuned for sure.

But I have found out since the game launched that most people saying its “horrible” have never even played it and just jump on the hate bandwagon. Obviously you had some interest in it if you decided to argue about it this long…?

          • llortretsam

I played it for about 2-3 hours and felt the gameplay was sluggish, it got very repetitive and the story wasn’t interesting to me. The game does look good visually though.

          • TheSchwartz

It sort of feels like a cross between Infinity Blade and Batman.

        • smber2c

His point was completely valid. There were a certain number of consumers that thought Ryse was worth $60 back in November/December…they bought the game. Now 8 months later, having a “sale” for Ryse at $50 is just dumb, especially when I can go to Gamefly and buy Ryse used for $18.

Regardless of if you think 8 months is long enough or not, the used market absolutely does and the price has been dropping significantly and if a publisher wants to compete with those used sales they can’t be at 3 times the cost of used purchases. Lots of people will pay a $10 premium to support the publisher or know they have a “new” game, but paying a $32 premium…not me.

  • Mr&Mrs Ninja

Ryse is $20 on Gamefly and was $30 on Microsoft store site for the hard copies. But I will get that juicy season pass!

  • disqus_RTUgm6j2wr

17% off … 17% off wtf was that really worth the effort for someone to change the database for… 17% do they really think that would convince someone who wasn’t going to already buy it to buy it… no.. the Games with GOLD promo says games at 50-75% off.. not games that were out 6 – 7 months ago at 17% off!!!!!

  • EXbob

17% off for Ryse… what a joke. Steam has insanely better sales and I don’t pay Steam $60 a year to get them.

  • EXbob

Note when Tomb Raider was down to $29.99 for gold members I picked it up instantly. That’s a good enough discount for this kind of stuff, not $49.99, especially for a launch title, especially with microtransactions.

    • Peter

Thing was it was one of those RARE blue moon things where ms actually beat the hardcopy price which is around 40 or so still. Kinda hoped the TR:DE would drop down much faster to around 20 or so since i already have the 360 version.

Don’t recall ms very often managing to pull off such a simple thing as actually getting a sale price significantly lower. Its usually higher or just about what hc currently costs

Thats why people bought it as that price. Because usually ms can’t grasp the simple albeit for them difficult concept of Making games on sale be lower than hardcopy current prices.MS take the current market value and knock of significant amounts. Not some b.s like 17%? of ryse at the price it was way back when it was released? It looks pathetic More real sales like the TR one

It doesn’t require a MBA or some special degree to understand that lower prices means more customers purchasing. Nobody wants to pay more for a digital copy.

  • Lloytron

    17% is nowhere near what I had expected as a discount on Ryse. Check the announcement;

“Deals with Gold will also launch for Xbox One in June, delivering discounts for great games each month, with significant savings for Xbox Live Gold members. The first titles offered in June will include “Forza Motorsport 5,” “Ryse: Son of Rome,” and a few other surprises. In the coming months, we will offer significant savings of up to 50 – 75 percent off certain titles. This program will continue to be available for Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox 360. And new on Xbox One, we will launch a virtual VIP room exclusive to Xbox Live Gold members where we will feature free games, monthly deals, and other great benefits.”

Tomb Raider was a bargain, Ryse at this price? no. And what happened to Forza in June?

    • James

I really hope someone with authority over the matter is reading this because it’s an insult to the Games with Gold and Deals with Gold program, and an insult to us as paying members. Someone should send this entire comment feed to Phil. Maybe he can do something about it.

      • Some guy

He read it, then laughed and went back to play pong.

        • James

          Haha. :)

        • Peter

Yeah I’m sure Phil is racing here daily to check back the feedback from gamers who feel entitled vs. you know dealing with shareholders and business matters.

          • James

Feeling entitled? Give me a break.

“Exclusive Discounts. Deals with Gold will also launch for Xbox One in June, delivering discounts for great games each month, with significant savings for Xbox Live Gold members. Sorry, but 17% isn’t “significant” savings on a game that was a launch title.
I think most of us here are a little upset that every Deals with Gold game to date, besides Ryse, was 40% – 50% off, to see 17% is a bit of a shock to be honest. It has nothing to do with feeling entitled.
As paying members we have every right to complain about this.

          • Rupert Oldcorn

I’m glad that I picked up Ryse when it was on sale months ago – can’t recall the date but it was before the Tomb Raider and Thief sales. This is shocking – I read a comment lower down that implied there is an issue with MSoft and Crytec that has sparked this, I hope that’s true otherwise this is embarrassing.
I didn’t think it could get worse than them making a discount poorer during the sale period … but somehow they have.

    • Michael Burden

Forza and the season pass were already on sale 2 weeks ago.

      • Lloytron

It was? Wow, I totally missed that

        • Nick King

It wasn’t posted here, I saw it on a tweet on the right hand side by accident. £25.69 I think it cost me, that’s the sort of price Ryse should be right now.

          • MadDragon1846

If Ryse was £29.99 or less I’d of got it straight away. At the price it is now, I’m still trying to decide if I should get it or wait for another sale in the future…

  • Justin Plunton

Why is Viking never available in the UK :( very lame!

    • chris

      Australia shares this pain

      • Death Dealer

        …and the Netherlands…Alpha Protocol isn’t here either.

    • http://www.carincress.com/ Xenmic

It’s not available here in Canada either. I was actually hoping to buy it but can’t.

    • Some guy

Vikings are known to be proud free Americans, that’s why.
But yea, it sucks and they don’t want to fix it either and since a lot of games are IP blocked, you can’t change region.

  • http://Www.mylifewithgaming.wordpress.com/ Mitchell Hall

I’ve been interested I alpha protocol for a little while now… anyone have some opinions on it they’d like to share? I haven’t turned my 360 on in quite a while but if that game is any good I would definitely like a reason to play some 360

    • Rupert Oldcorn

Like a lot of Obsidian games it has moments of excellence and moments of ‘how on earth did that get through testing’. I completed it but I was in my KOTOR, KOTOR2, Mass Effect and Dragon Age hayday, compared to those it’s not even a blib on the radar – unsurprisingly it is most like KOTOR2 (also obsidian) for it’s feeling of being a bit rushed. But it has excellent moments that were really enjoyable.

    • Some guy

Just like every older Obsidian games, they ran out of money before they end so a lot of things will seem to end abrutly(SEGA was short on money thanks to gearbox), gameplay is far from great, you need pistol upgrades for bosses if you want to enjoy the game, the story and interation are great, choice do more than just chance the color of the ending.

Unlimited external storage for XBox 360 feedback idea now has 663 votes, has gone up a bit in past couple of days.

    • Peter

i think its kinda pointless to bother as this has been an issue of contention for quite some time. The equivalent of a company having a suggestion box but it’s all for show. Their silence on the issue only tends to confirm the idea that they place profits over their customers needs. MS isn’t above straight out lying and saying its not possible when it clearly like with the 360 controller use on the x1. They would straight out say something isn’t possible when it clearly is if it means more money in their pockets. Ms would purposely limit users using their system.

Funny thing is at the same time they wanna push digital on the 360 but this artificial limitation is actually making some users hold back on digital purchases as a result. Like shooting yourself in the foot so to speak.

      • Some guy

They’re not really silent about it, major nelson keep telling us that they are working on it and they also fixed it on xbone.
So either we belive they have been working on it for years or either they are lying, I’ve made my choice and gave up on it.

        • Peter

Working on it? for so long??? if it walks like b.s and talks like b.s its most likely b.s They know its possible but they don’t wanna give it on account of profits from their proprietary drives. They already know if its possible or not. If it is. Anyone with a modchip can tell you it is.

They will most likely wait until the end of the 360 lifespan and suddenly be able to pull off the miraculous and come back to us and be like see we listen! it is possible! See how great we are like they did with the gold requirement for netflix.

MS takes us all for guillable morons too blind and stupid to see the obvious. MS your not as smart nor clever as you think you are if you seriously think we buy what your saying.

      • deadbox102

I’ve passed on the last few sales because of the storage issue. I’m already swapping out 2 expensive drives and I’m not adding another that will fill up quickly.

    • Steven Heuer

      I gave it a vote.

  • Leonardo Delbem

has no sonic generations to Brazil? :(

  • Benjamin

They really, really need to do something about the Xbox 360 storage issue now that games are widely available for very low prices on the system. Has any one even heard any response to the large number of gamers asking for a solution to this problem?

    • Karl Cramer

Buy a 32GB USB stick. They’re cheap and fast.

    • Mando44646

cant you use a flash drive?

  • Pasajero82

    Vanquish finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sam Smith

Did you call it the Xbox One because it only ever gets one deal each time?
£37.19 for Ryse isn’t a sale.. It’s £20-£25 in shops and that’s for a physical copy that I could resell again.

    • Nick King

It was £33 at one point before Deals with Gold was introduced :-)
      Something isn’t quite right here.

  • James Hale Steele
