In a world full of performance, intrigue and deception, you play as Dawn, the imaginary friend of a little girl, Didi. Every kid’s imaginary friend is special, and you have powers that no one else does – you can walk up to a lit wall, and become your shadow. You can shift in and out of your shadow, at any lit surface, to help Didi explore the mysteries surrounding her family.

This is a damn good game!!

  • Gazza!!!

According to the developers this is ”the tightest version available” what ever that means but they put a positive spin on it when comparing this version to others.

    • ElektroDragon

Of course they’d say that, since they get full revenue on X1 whereas on PS4 it was given away free on Plus.

  • Lloytron

Doesn’t score too highly on Metacritic. Demos for Xbox One arcade games should have been compulsory!

    • Death Dealer

Agreed, just like XBLA on the Xbox 360.
      The game is good though.

If your going to search for reviews, the absolute last place anyone should ever use is metacritic. That’s pretty much the equivalent of asking a mentally handicapped 5 year old child.
As someone who has played it, I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend it.

    • NarcoSleepy

Strictly speaking, XBox One does not have arcade titles. No indie titles either. Just games. I believe this was their way of leveling the field for those Indies that didn’t like having their games cordoned off in a lot to the side where nobody went.

      • Jorge Garza

And they are going to level the prices…

  • Derek D

This is one of my absolute favorite indie games! Played it on PS4 about 6 months ago and loved every minute of the game. Great story, great music, and absolutely beautiful visuals. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that it’s somewhat short, but that’s to be expected for an indie game. My hope is that they someday make a full game sequel.

  • Nick Peck

Already beat it but if you haven’t played it, it’s worth a play through. Fun game.

This looks so beautiful – like Bioshock Infinite and Child of Light. Looking forward to buying/playing it after I finish Red Dead Redemption…

  • ElektroDragon

All I can say is that if you don’t like jazz music, stay far, far away. It’s also kind of mediocre, but I guess the becoming a shadow puzzles are innovative.

    • Lloytron

      Thanks. I hate jazz!

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

it was original. i love weird games though so i might be bias.

  • JohnnyXB1

    And again no demo (((

    • Dex

A rental option would please me done on a % of the total cost.

Demo are not a good intro to all games. Yes for some but I’d rather pick up from where I left off in a trial version (rental)

      • Catalyst

Most demos – on 360 arcade games at least – already let you continue from where you stopped. They even included achievements you had gotten if you paid for it.

        • Dex

That’s not the case on Xbox One trials and demo’s so far. They are timed, pieced together parts of the game and nothing carries over even if you upgrade to buy the full version while in the game.

      • Some guy

Instead of free demo you want paid rental?
You should have a look on ps4 because that’s what they’re doing.
you can buy the game for 10$ or rent them for 24 hours for 5$

  • evilfangs .

Both the X1 and PS4 are lacking demos so far this generation and it’s annoying me to high hell. Both companies say they listen to us but do they f***.

    • http://socialsteak.com/ Stephen Robinson

That’s up to the game devs, not Sony or Microsoft.

      • Dex

Yep yep but let ppl just rent. Demos came as a result of the digital options.

Let me give you $2 to try it for a day or two. Then let me keep doing that OR let me buy it.

Demos require additional development time. It’s a waste. Just make all games digitally rentable with a partial download.

        • renslo689

yeah a rental service would be cool, like 10bucks for full games for 48hrs and maybe 5 for arcade games for 48hours or something, then if you enjoy it you can buy it

      • Jeff Randall

Well, that may be true. But, Microsoft used to enforce certain standards, as in, all XBLA games had to have a trial mode. All of that was thrown out the window when Xbox One came out. The crew that created the One seem to have no knowledge of their previous consoles. Count me as one customer that is truly disappointed with the One.

Between a scale of 1-10 how high is it that I should pick up this game? is it a good game?

    • deadbox102

Watched some video on Twitch and it looks interesting.

Yeah I’ve been watching vids, still not sure. Might wait til a price drop, no rush for it.

    • Smegtasticus

thnx mate, i commented that i’d like this game for free, but if not ill probably pick it up anyways.

  • deadbox102

Watch Twitch until demos come. It’s really not that big a deal.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

this game was awesome. it was how i was introduced to the ps4 because it was my first free game. it is a very original game that to me is worth price of admission for $14.

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

be warned though. my opinion is mine alone and you might want to burn your house down after playing from being so bad.

  • deadbox102

Went ahead and purchased this one. So far it’s been money well spent.

  • Smegtasticus

Great premise, cool art style. Pity the gameplay is not quite as awesome.

  • Jason Boyd

God forbid you have to pay for the game.
