Xbox One By Jeff Rubenstein

  • GamerKablammo

I have almost all the tables on 360. I am extremely disappointed with you, MS. Playstation gamers can transfer their tables. What is wrong with you, MS?! I will definitely not spend a cent on the Xbox One version. You and Zen Studios should respect your customers, this is disgusting. I am glad I bought The Pinball Arcade on PS4. I am a huge Xbox fangirl but I am incredibly disappointed by the greed on display here.

    • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

I Get your point but if you own all the table already what would be the point of having the cone version in the first place. Does a 1080 resolution would make any difference on a pinball game ? Come on…

      • deadbox102

The point is the X1 is being outdone by the PS4 again.

      • Torrey Ham

It makes a difference when I’ve sold my 360 for an XB1.

        • Liquidfx Xboxdude

that is your problem. get an amazon credit card and buy you 360 back. they give you 6 month financing with no interest if paid in full. if you can’t pay off $150 in 6 months then i don’t know what to tell you. maybe, sux to be you?

          • Torrey Ham

            You’re being ridiculous.

          • Liquidfx Xboxdude

            just being practical.

      • Richenbaum

I get your point, but why is this so important to you when you obviously are not affected and/or don’t care about the situation? Does belittling people over being unhappy with an unfortunate situation make any difference in your life? Come on…

      • gamer04

actually it makes a big difference for an number of reasons.

        1. it gets you into the game with the latest console generation and all the perks of the new OS

        2. It gets you the ability to twitch stream while you play

        3. Allows you to record cool moments or highscores

        4. Allows you to play with more friends who might not have a 360, but have an xbox one.

        5. Allows you to have your previous tables and any new ones all in the same “cabinet”

  • StudioMultimédia Gon’Interacti

I guess I’m the only one happy. Everyone seems to be complaining everyday.

    • GamerKablammo

They complain when MS can’t match the generosity, or should I say, reasonableness, of Sony. Totally justified.

      • Xhawk27

I don’t see Sony having an upgrade program for people that bought The Last of Us DLC on the PS3.

        • GamerKablammo

Totally different situation. Sony allow free upgrade of pinball tables. Xbox didn’t have an upgrade program for Tomb Raider DLC. Not the same as pinball tables, buddy.

        • Michael Burden

But they do for THIS game, hence the justified outrage.

    • Richenbaum

I would be happy if I were unaffected by this issue and doing some passive-aggressive trolling too.

  • Joao Silva

Man, this is ridiculous … It seems that MS doesn´t learn from their mistakes…. I´m starting to feeling like an idiot after 8 years sticking with the XBOX brand.

    • andy

0 years for me and I have never been happier, and this was even years before 21st May 2013, the day Microsoft shot themselves repeatedly with a 12 gauge in the foot. ^_^

      • http://www.youtube.com/SabzilaTV SabzilaTV

so why do u troll here cos that makes u the biggest tool

      • Liquidfx Xboxdude

you prob only have a GameCast.

  • ima420r

We already have this game and all the tables on the 360. Can you give us some NEW content please, quick trying to sell us the same games over again!

  • Axcalibur

Purchased most of the tables on my 360 – why not offer some form of “upgrade” program. Example: If you own a virtual console game on Wii and it’s available on Wii U, you can upgrade to the Wii U for a significantly reduced price. Why not allow us to “upgrade” to Xbox One versions for 0.50 cents a table. You would still get money out of consumers, without completely ripping them off – it really would be win-win. Plus you already got money for those tables when we purchased them initially, and I doubt there has been much work done to the tables between versions. We know you have the means – you have our download/purchase histories tied to our MS accounts. I know Microsoft thinks backward compatibility is “backwards” (which is a ridiculous philosophy that has impacted your sales negatively), but at least offer a compromise for your consumers.

  • Ross Kemp

Once again……MS dropping the soap in the shower whilst stood right next to Sony .
Go on Phil/MS………bend righhhhhhhhht over .

Phil , if you keep dissing the loyal XBOX customers like you are – your short tenure will go the same way as the ” Deal with it ” guy .

    • Liquidfx Xboxdude

the soap line is too funny. this is why i keep looking at these blogs.

  • Xhawk27

Even if MS allows the tables to crossover to the Xbox One you people would find a new reason to complain.

    • Richenbaum

He says, while complaining about the complainers.

      • Xhawk27

I don’t complain about everything on the Xbox One like a lot of people here do. This might be the first time they have a right to complain though.

  • Karl Cramer

If there’s a feature that’s available on other platforms, the Xbox One has to at least match it if not do better. Especially with the current state of things. I would even be willing to pay a $5 import fee akin to Rock Band but this situation is unsatisfactory.

  • Jon Taylor

    Lol….”eagerly awaiting”
Talk about being out of touch with your customers.

  • defgufman

There is nothing unreasonable about these complaints. If Microsoft wants to build brand loyalty they would at the very least allow 360 users to do what PS3 users can do. It is becoming harder and harder to defend some of these decisions. I also have purchased many tables, I should be able to bring those digital rights over to the new console.
Now if Microsoft really wants users to jump to the One, they should add backwards compatibility for 360 games. That would change the console race instantly.

    • Some guy

Considering the xbone has no region lock and has external storage, I’d buy one just to be able to play my 360 games properly.
But of course it’s not happening.

      • ImTheMetalLord

Agree. I haven’t bought me the X1 and keep putting it off since I have so many games I still need to finish on my 360. However if they made the X1 backwards compatible then I would make the switch much sooner than later.

        • Alex_Atkin_UK

I switched to PS4 because its a stronger system and the controller is more innovative. Had the Xbox One been fully Xbox 360 compatible I would almost certainly have picked up Xbox One instead.

Right now I am still waiting for that one game I cannot live without on Xbox One, and its looking to be a long way off as its probably going to be Crackdown.

I picked up a lot of PS4 games that I would never have bought the console for but as I already had it seemed interesting. I would have done the same had it been Xbox One, so Microsoft lost a few sales there.

    • Nick Peck

The best part about backwards compatibility? 0.001% of the people that would buy / already own the system would actually use it making it totally worthless to even bother with. Keep your 360 to play your 360 games, it will work 100% better than some emulator on the XBO.

The 360′s BC had such low stats of usage, not to mention sony even cut their full BC on the ps3 because it wasn’t used and was too expensive to carry forward with. Moral of the story? Play your old games on your old system :)

      • Alex_Atkin_UK

Which may have broken, and takes up space in your living room that you may not have. In the case of Xbox 360 the reason it might not have gotten a lot of use is because not many games were supported and few people knew it even had it, or when they tried the game they wanted didn’t work.

I might not use BC every day, but I mostly did and still will use it on my Xbox 360. A reason I might not use it quite as often is it was still really buggy, bits of Burnout 2 used to slow right down to slide show speed.

Also, I had a Spyro game that at first ran at 720p in BC which looked really nice but was obviously a bug as they “fixed” that later and it never looked as good since.

Most of all, even if its never used BC builds brand loyalty. The sheer fact its there if they want it makes people feel more comfortable and making the switch.

I wouldn’t have bought a Wii U at launch if it hadn’t been fully BC with Wii, because there were games I still wanted to play and didn’t want two consoles cluttering up my room.

  • Brandon Taco-joe Watts

WAIT WAIT WAIT….. am i reading this right? Why is IT THAT PS3 and PS4 are able to do so, but 360 and XB1 users can’t. This is purely INSANE! I downloaded every-single-table and your telling me I have to download them all again? for the same price? Sooooo even if I jump ship to PS4, i’m still screwed! I have 2 fork over money for a new console and still have to buy all tables again… If this is not changed I AM DONE! I AM DONE! I AM DONE WITH M$!!!! Been on XBL for over 7years and have owned a xbox for longer then that. This truly hurts me to the core! VOICE YOUR OPINIONS GAMERS AND FANS OF THIS SERIES, WE STOP THE DRM, WE DISCONNECTED THE KINECT! THISSSS ISSSS XBBBBOOOOOXXXX!!!!

    • CyberneticHFX

I understand your disappointment very well, but there is justification for recharging people like us on that: The upgraded softwares of Pinball FX2 require still to be distributed and provided in separation to their original versions – and this is costly.
A motivating marketing campaign would be to initially provide eligible costumers with an off-price solution, when they are purchasing relative digital contents.
Otherwise, we can simply not go with the flow. Since people (friends and people of the community) have knowledge about this recharging – those people can value your decision, of not playing the modernized, with greater respect, than if you would do. Because they know, you are not about to be fooled the easy way.
Not everything can be designed or provided in the most demanded way: Of course, we are expecting a free world – but it is not. If I had designed those things, like Pinball FX2 Pinball Tables, I was forced also to recharge existing valuable customers – even if this is against my ideal. But, I would try to provide a good enough solution for the related situation, regardless of the economic results or relative plans – because, it is a matter of respect and common logic. A basic key marketing aspect is to maintain respect-gain from the customers. Perhaps this alters a project’s success rate more positively than ever before believed.
If the wrong mass of people are not cool with the deliveries, success can be drasitcally reduced – since the media is also online, and we are a part of it.
Alright, let us give more time into it.
A lot of people trade their respects with Microsoft, as Microsoft turned themselves around the world, in order to realize our desired design of the future.
Therefore it is suggested to spread true constructive criticim to help developing the tomorrow of the digital world.
Behave yourselves. Make your true logical and natural decisions.
      Have faith! Be good!

  • Peter

Agreed somethings fishy here. It wouldnt be that hard to tie a free dl of the one ported tables and match it with your previous 360 purchase. Not sure who’s b.sing here. Maybe zen is making excuses to cover them wanting to profit by claiming vague ms tech probs. I dunno whats going on that logistically this isnt doable.

  • Peter

This probably wouldnt be an issue if this new port only included a handful of dlcs. But this game has many tables and cost over 100 bucks to collect. Alot of users I imagine bought alot of tables. Theres really no reason to start over once youve sunk that much into it. Pretty much everyone by now has this game or has passed. So not imagining many will suddenly jump at this point just because its on another system

Push ms or zen to allow free dl or minor cost for transferring tables

Still I weirdly suspect zen is trying to cover by pretending they are all for free transfer (yes regardless of the whole free ps3 ps4 transfer) Dont they stand to profit the most in this mess?

    • ImTheMetalLord

Actually you are correct in they stand to profit a LOT more than MS. And at least MS isn’t pointing their fingers at Zen saying it’s their fault even though Zen is pointing the finger at MS. I think you and I are in the minority here feeling there is something up here.

      • deadbox102

If MS is at fault then what ground would they have to point their finger back at Zen?

        • ImTheMetalLord

“IF” is the key word in your question. We don’t really know who’s decision it was now do we? However everyone is so quick to think it’s a MS issue. WHY would MS allow it in some games and not in others? What would they have to gain from it? NOT nearly as much as the game publisher that is for sure. More to lose and less to gain for MS IMO.

          • deadbox102

This still falls on MS shoulders. It is their console after all.

          • Peter

Could be that ms usually fails to directly answer criticism directly and since they are usually the badguy most are quick to blame ms. The fact that zen is quick to blame ms and play up sympathy makes me wonder. Fact that zen ultimately stands to benefit from it while allowing ms to be the big meanie here.

Again just conjecture and theory no proof and dont mean to imply otherwise

          • Alex_Atkin_UK

The developer may very well pay a fee to be able to offer it free, if they think its worth it for future sales. In this case I think Zen decided it was too costly but were able to meet a deal, possibly no charge, on PSN.

      • Brandon Taco-joe Watts

after reading both of your thoughts i see my rant was out of angry. But this is very true…. We don;t know the full story, maybe SONY said they’ll pick up the tab for the existing users in order to gain more and retain the existing players they have. But again that is a thought…

so i’m with you guys…. we don’t have the full story, but we can only hope that WE the people are not the 1′s being screwed. I spent well over $100 in this game and didn’t even realize that every check I got, I went and bought a pack of tables. This game is awesome but I’ll be damned if I re-buy everything again

    • gamer04

i don’t think Zen would have made several statements about it if they were concerned about not profiting from rebuys. Their statements are obviously made to sympathize with fans and help push MS to action.

Many might jump back into the pinball scene on xbox one if they could twitch stream and record their highlights/highscores. So offering the previous tables for free could actually boosts sales, depending on how you look at it. I’m going to hold out for one, until my tables can move over before i buy more on the xbox one.

    • Alex_Atkin_UK

I am one of those people who had moved on to Pinball Arcade from Zen, hadn’t played it in ages.

Being able to get the tables over on PS4 for free has meant I have been playing it again where otherwise I would not have. Its definitely a plus for Zen as even if I do not buy any more tables on console (prefer it on PC now as it runs nicely on my tablet, in portrait) I may use it as a platform to try new tables then get them on PC.

I find it bizarre that Microsoft have the whole XboxPC market where they could do cross-buy, at least if you buy the more expensive console versions, but they did nothing with it. I had thought cross-buy/cross-buy was there plan back before Xbox 360 launched. Its a big reason I switched to Playstation this time.

  • Christopher Walsh

No way I’m buying this again! I was already suckered into buying it a second time on Android.

  • deadbox102

    Well there goes Xbox Studios.

    • Michael Burden

You need to clarify that by saying Xbox ENTERTAINMENT Studios, and not Microsoft GAMES Studio – big difference.

      • Death Dealer

It’s a darned shame though. I was actually looking forward to some of the stuff. Fortunately Halo:Nightfall and the documentaries about gaming are still on. Didn’t care for Every Street United because I despise the mass hysteria that is soccer but I sure wish this was given more of a chance for another year or so.

        • deadbox102

I understand the move, but I was looking forward to the content produced the by the studio as well.

      • deadbox102

I had already edited my post when you posted.

    • Some guy

So MS is closing their cutting jobs on nokia, marketting and TV divisions.
Hard not to approve their decision.

      • deadbox102

If they can cut that much and not be hurting then I believe they could teach out government how to do it.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

anyone snag a destiny beta code they don’t want? lol

    • Retro

All you have to do is pre-order on Amazon and they send a beta code right away. Then you can cancel the pre-order if you want.

      • Liquidfx Xboxdude

that is a lot of trouble. are you kidding me?

        • deadbox102

How is it a lot of trouble? Once I received my code, I logged in and cancelled the order.

          • Liquidfx Xboxdude

why you got to do amazon that way? it doesn’t matter i spent a whopping $2 for my beta key and didn’t have to do all of that. it took me a mere 2 seconds to do it and i didn’t have to do anything shady.

          • Schniebel

Beta code with Amazon trick = free
            Ur stupid method 2$ =for a DEMO

    • Professor Oak

Must be on PS, not out yet on Xbox

    • evilfangs .

I got two codes left from my beta pre-order.

  • deadbox102

Anyone having trouble logging in to LIVE?

    • Death Dealer

Still up here but I was still logged in.

Edit: Re-logged in. No problems on my end.
Can’t see any friends online though, so something’s going on.

      • deadbox102

Apparently I’m one of the lucky ones who is affected by LIVEs troubles. My 360 can connect, but not my X1.

    • Ash2X

Jepp – the XBL Status Website says it too.

  • NIGHTW1NG

I’m sorry – I don’t care whose fault it is – if Pinball FX2 tables are free to PS4 users as long as they own the table on the PS3 – then Microsoft should have matched it with the One/360. The last thing that MS needs is to give gamers more reasons to get a PS4 over their own.

Needless to say – I won’t be buying any older PFX tables for the One – as I own everything that’s out on the 360.
