Looking forward to seeing some Quantum Break

    • Heidi Holappa

Hate to say this, but it looks… kinda weak. :(

      • m1nh0ca

The “generic” part is ok… but graphics seem to be pretty decent.
At least for me, the transmission is losing quality, from time to time.

      • Tony Winkett

It did seem very Alan Wake in terms of looks and feel to it, but still look forward to getting some hands on time with it.

    Here we go…

  • Kelly Felhaber

The Live Events player on the 360 is showing the E3 briefing.

  • Gazmaster3D

    Yassssss Goat Simulator!!!!!!!

  • Kevin Fell

Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusive!? Wow

    • m1nh0ca

      Yeah, but until when?
This seems to be another timed exclusive…

Off-topic: Only here I’m not being able to post through my Windows Phone 8.1… but on Android, comments are working fine. Please, admin, check.

    • Peter M.

      They said exclusive in 2015.
So PC and Xbox in 2015
      PS4 in 2016

        Dear Tomb Raider Community,

As you may have seen, we’ve just announced that Rise of the Tomb
Raider, coming Holiday 2015, is exclusively on Xbox. We consider all of
you to be the lifeblood of Tomb Raider and the work we do at Crystal.
I’d like to give you some insight into this decision, and why we feel
this is the very best thing for the Tomb Raider sequel we’re creating at
        the studio.

Tomb Raider in 2013 was a success due in large part to your continued
support. Our goal has always been to deliver something truly special
with Rise of the Tomb Raider. Today’s announcement with Microsoft is one
step to help us put Tomb Raider on top of action adventure gaming. Our
friends at Microsoft have always seen huge potential in Tomb Raider and
have believed in our vision since our first unveil with them on their
stage at E3 2011. We know they will get behind this game more than any
support we have had from them in the past – we believe this will be a
step to really forging the Tomb Raider brand as one of the biggest in
gaming, with the help, belief and backing of a major partner like

This doesn’t mean that we’re walking away from our fans who only play
on PlayStation or on PC. Those are great systems, with great partners,
and amazing communities. We have Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
coming to those platforms this December, and Tomb Raider: The Definitive
        Edition is available on PS4.

We know that there are probably many more questions and concerns.
Please do send them to us, and we’ll answer to the best of our ability.
Meanwhile we’re going all out to try and make something truly special –
the most ambitious Tomb Raider game ever built.

          And boom goes the dynamite…

        • Some guy

And 3 years later they get Rise of the planet of the tomb riders: ultimate edition.
          Same as on 360.

    • IN_YO_FACE_86

Yeah I didn’t think it would be.

  • Gazmaster3D

So is it safe to assume the Kinect is almost, if not already dead? No Kinect in any of the new bundles in the coming months. Shame as it did work this time round.

No. This show showed even more how important kinect is. Also they already explained kinect is coming out separate later this year.

      • Gazmaster3D

I must of missed that part on one of my many tea breaks.

        • MURD3R HE WROTE

lol Yeah they didn’t mention that at gamescom. they announced that before the june sdk went on sale. This show made me realize how important recording game vids and doing social things on your kinect is. With halo channel and all these new games coming and what not.

          • Gazmaster3D

Good point, I can’t imagine my One without Kinect. Can’t wait to see how D4 looks and plays as well.

          • MURD3R HE WROTE

Also I noticed that before i buy any game on the x1 I go and look at the recorded vids other people have posted on the game dashboard. It’s not as good as a demo, but very helpful and awesome.

This gamescom show was awesome. It showed xbox truly is the best place to play games.

    • Gazmaster3D

Agreed. It was a lot better than E3 IMO and I’m genuinely excited for some of the upcoming titles including Scream Ride, which looks like great.

agreed way better than e3 cause you got a more in-depth look at these games. I’m most excited for smite that MOBA id@xbox game.

  • UNSCleric

You guys have absolutely OWNED Gamescom. I’ve been following these types of shows for over a decade and this is in the top 5 showings of all-time, probably top 3.

  • PawnSacrifices

the last game (in my opinion) is still one of the best looking games on the x1, and that was with attention being given to other platforms/consoles.
So looking forward to what Square/Enix can do focusing 100% on the x1.

  • Mitchell Hall

anyone have any idea when the on demand version of the gamescom conference will be available? Major nelson?

  • 0rtep

Dang it Blane you had one job.

  • Mc Knights

I’ve seen all three briefings: Call of Duty, Microsoft and Playstation. Microsoft was my favorite cause of many cool exclusive games (the best of it for me is Halo Masterchief Collection). On the Playsation briefing there were many ID Games. And I likes the feature to share the gameplay and play with other player even they don’t own the game (I hope we will get this feature too, cause it was announced one year ago by Microsoft on Gamescom). And I was disappionted by the Call of Duty briefing, cause for me it looks like a Titanfall-Clone without Titans.

So all in all thunmbs up for this great Show Microsoft. I was entertaint and now I can’t wait to get all the new cool games!!! Thank you

(Question: Does anybody know if Xbox One also get DayZ?)

  • Guest

SUPER, HOT, SUPER, HOT, SUPER, HOT, okay we get it…awesome.

  • CyberneticHFX

I am viewing this now on Xbox 360 with the relative Event Player, and it handles the aspect ratio wrong. But I really appreciate that you did not dub the video, by leaving it to its original, letting me enjoy the original atmposphere.

  • CyberneticHFX

ID delivers an extreme amount and variety of very interesting video game projects to Xbox One – this is really unbelieveable!

  • CyberneticHFX

Haha! I can’t wait for Quantum Break! It was even supposed to be coming out at Xbox One’s launch, or not? It’s the video game with the best introductory teaser, that I have ever seen about! That cold girl’s reaction reveals that there is some mystery about what she have been witnessed. And this, is amazingly done by her acting. I could look at this forever!

  • CyberneticHFX

Continued commitment – thanks, Phil Spencer – well done there!

  • PeterPantyDK

Everytime this video auto-starts when visiting the frontpage of the blog…. God kills a kitten!

    • Brian

seriously, this is really maddening. turn off autoplay Major! I keep hearing this blare every time I check this site.
