Xbox Games Store, Xbox One By Jeff Rubenstein

  • Kravex

So how many songs come with the game?

    • Rudy Bienaime

Like 8… But they’re so many routines plus store has so many more at $2. Its the same DC that we all love…. Get it if your a DC fan if your not its good to have variety in gaming catalog and its only $10.

    • Michael Burden

It comes with 8-10 songs (I can’t remember the exact number), but nearly all your previous DLC purchases will carry over from the 360.

      • Rudy Bienaime

Yeah… Its 10 and your right all dlc will carry over…. Should be all games carry over from 360 as long as if they were purchased digitally.

      • Patrick Tuohy

But they need to be available in the store in the first place won’t they. What about when buying the tracks from previous discs to work with the newer titles

  • Tyler Lundberg

Finally. The only game worth playing with kinect IMO.

    • Rudy Bienaime

It’s DC fun… Same type of game same fun….

      • Tyler Lundberg

Yeah it’s pretty much the same old same old. The new kinect however makes it possible to use with sunlight coming through the windows and it tracks my movements much better. I think i’ll be having fun with it.

        • Rudy Bienaime

Yep…. Im enjoying it sun and all….. Worked up a good sweat as well.

    • Daniel Gomes

      Amen!

  • Nick King

£7.99, picked it up at 6:45am this morning for the kids.

    • Rudy Bienaime

Lol… Tried picking it up @12:01 but had payment issues so i fixed it and got it at around 1 AM or something like that

    • Tyler Lundberg

for kid’s? why not use it yourself? it’s a great fun way to work out. I lost 15 pounds on the previous games.

      • Nick King

When I’ve had a few vodkas maybe, the kids loved it on the 360 so I had to get it for them. Saying that they’ve just discovered Peggle 2 so I can’t get anywhere near either Xbox at the moment :-(

  • Daniel Gomes

There is a known bug. For some people (like me), the game simple doesn’t open. Harmonix recommend to change gamerpic and then open the game. After that you can change back your gamerpic. That issue is related to the way Xbox One used to save things or something like that. Just google it for yourself. I hope that helps.

    • Nick King

Yes just had to do that and the workaround is fine.

  • Daniel Retamero

Which is the resolution of the game? There is no information about it.

    • Davie

      Because it doesn’t matter?

      • Riddick Snipes

Wrong. Why does 4k look so good? Do u think if bluray movies were in 720p or 900p they would look as good as they do. This is fact.

        • Davie

Lovely fact, what did that have to do with what I said?

          A game like this doesn’t matter if it’s 720/900/1080 because it’s a dance game.

People need to stop buying games based on resolution, it’s kinda sad.

        • https://twitter.com/Ganon255 Ganon255

Bitrate and less compression are a big part of the Blu-ray fidelity, that’s why often times a 1080p Blu-ray movie looks better than a movie streamed at 1080p. Resolution matters, but other factors are more important first, like graphic effects and frame-rate.

    • CXK

16k, can’t beat it. Honestly it looks like a 720p. I don’t care though, I do have an issue with it not even coming close to using all of my tv. I have a 60″ but if I had to guess I’m using 57″ of it. It’s really weird. I saw no calibration for screen size.

  • Paul Cedfeldt

Played it at PAX a few days ago, can’t wait to get home and purchase tonight!

  • CoD Master

You can dance songs from talentless artists or from the so called popular pop stars for only 10 bucks, no thank you Dance Central, I would if you would add some Classics and pure songs. Every single track of this game is garbage.

    • MURD3R HE WROTE

don’t hold back, tell them how you really feel.

      • CoD Master

        I wish.

    • Michael Burden

You do realize you can customize the game with your own preference of songs via DLC, right? And any DLC purchases from there previous three 360 games carry over as well.

      • CoD Master

What do you mean, put my favorite songs and dance them?

  • Michal

    Love this game :) Finally!

  • MURD3R HE WROTE

so happy to see more games on xbox one!

    • Carnage Rules

You do know there are over 65 games available right now

      • MURD3R HE WROTE

yep and i already own 32 of them. :) More games are always better.

        • Carnage Rules

          true that

        • Liquidfx Xboxdude

          unless you go blind.

  • CXK

So the trial seems to be completely broken. We launch the game, it says “Enjoy your trial” and it loads up only to crash. I deleted the trial, fully rebooted the Xbox and downloaded again. Same thing. The one time it worked fine my wife walked in and wanted to play, the screen went black and the game crashed. Its like it can’t handle someone else being signed in.

    • CXK

More issues, , when it did work anytime we got an achievement it crashed the game.

    • ImTheMetalLord

Is your system plugged into the wall or into a surge protector/power strip? This is a major issue for the X1. Actually this is where every Xbox is suppose to be connected.

      Taken straight from support(dot)xbox(dot)com/en-US/xbox-one/system/about-power-supply

“Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a wall outlet.”

      • evilfangs .

Who in their right mind would plug their £400 console straight into the wall? You’ve got to be crazy not to hit that into a surge protector.

        • ImTheMetalLord

The brick operates as a surge protector including a fuse in it that is not replaceable however. What else in your home has a powerbrick like all the Xbox machines? Nothing.

Go to the link I included above and read it from top to bottom. I was not a believer either until I plugged my 360 directly into the wall and stop having any freezing issues whatsoever.

Besides how many surges have you had in your home in your lifetime? I’ve been using electricity in my homes for almost 50 years now and have never had one. And most of them are cheap and really don’t do what they say they will do.

          • CXK

I don’t know how it would only affect one game though. My console runs flawlessly other wise. It is running through a power strip because, like most, I have a million things to plug in lol.

          • ImTheMetalLord

Been known to happen. Depends on the amount of power it’s trying to get and maybe it’s not supplying enough for that game. The brick regulates the amount of power sent to the console and if the amount coming in don’t match the amount going out some games may have freezing issues.

  • Liquidfx Xboxdude

ok a reason to look like an idiot for an hour. i’m in.

  • GMUPatriots

So will there be a Major Nelson vs. Laura Lollipop dance off for this game?

  • Ronny Stickney

If you owned Dace Central and Dance Central 2 will your on disc songs carry over? Or will only the DLC songs carry over?

    • CXK

Sadly, I think its only the actual DLC songs. I originally thought it was all of the export packs but I read on rockbandaide that it was only DLC.

      • mcmax3000

Correct. It’s only DLC. No disc exports.

(Glad to know somebody read that note I put on the RBA post when I was writing it)

  • Bad Dog Daddy

its a fun game and a great workout! The price however is the true icing on the cake, it’s a steal! My wife played them on the 360 and it became a regular part of her workout routine. I had to buy her a 360 of her own, now it looks like ill have to get her a One as well.
