UPDATED: The Game Awards 2015, Free Tickets And Xbox Fan Celebration

The Game Awards 2015 is happening next week and the Xbox team (including a few notable luminaries) will be there to support a number of our titles nominated for awards. Due to a previous family commitment I won’t be able to attend in person this year – but you can! How? We have some free tickets to give away (details below) and will also be hosting an Xbox Fan Celebration to show our appreciation to those fans in the area who are able to attend.

Xbox Fan Celebration

Xbox is hosting an exclusive Xbox Fan Celebration for 200 lucky fans, who will also receive a ticket to The Game Awards 2015, happening immediately following the social. Enjoy an afternoon of food and drinks and meet special guests from the Xbox team before they open the doors to The Game Awards.

When: Thursday, December 3, 2015 – Line up starts at 1:00p PT / Xbox Fan Celebration will be from 3:00p – 5:00p PT.

Where: JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE (900 West Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015)

What: Access to the Xbox Fan Celebration and a ticket to the Game Awards (one per person, first-come, first-serve, must be 21+ years old or over). Please note, this is for a ticket to the event only – you are responsible for all other travel, lodging or miscellaneous expenses.

The Game Awards 2015

When: Thursday, December 3, 2015 – 6:00p PT

Where: Microsoft Theater (formerly Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE), Los Angeles, CA (check ticket availability)

The Game Awards 2015 will be streamed on a number of platforms and apps including Xbox Live, Twitch and YouTube, so even if you’re not going to the event you can watch the show.

What: There are 16 categories voted on by a jury of industry personalities and 6 categories voted on by you, the fans. We were pleased to see several of our titles get nominated, including:

Ori and the Blind Forest: Best Independent Game, Best Action / Adventure Game, Best Score / Soundtrack and Best Art Direction

Halo 5 Guardians: Best Shooter, Best Multiplayer and Best Score / Soundtrack

Forza Motorsport 6: Best Sports / Racing Game

Rise of the Tomb Raider: Best Action / Adventure Game

Voting for The Fan’s Choice is still open. You can vote on categories like the esports player, team and game of the year or most anticipated game. Check out all of the The Game Awards 2015 categories and nominations.

So come on down to mingle with other Xbox fans, meet video-game industry surprise guests at the Xbox Fan Celebration, and then walk on over to the Microsoft Theater to watch The Game Awards 2015 and celebrate the best video games of 2015, plus a sneak preview of what’s next.
