So, PDZ isnt in the Top10 anymore.
They really have to release that DLC asap, or people will lose all their interest in the game.

Halo 2 is awesome, but with Xbox 360 there are so many things you cant do while playing that game.  Oblivion was addicting, but i have 50/50 achievements, so i have just put it aside, GR3 i do not have, Call of Duty 2 is a fun game, expecialy online, but I also have all of the achievements and am busy working on other games. And then I do not have the remainder of the games.  I think PDZ should be up there.  It is a fun game, but I think people are turned down by it because of the furturistic weapons.

  My whole problem is, it's a been there, done that with alot of these games.. with the exception of a few. The very few Arcade games that have online play, is awesome. The fact that it is easy to jump in a game with a friend, is awesome. The achievements are awesome. In my opinion, Dead or Alive 4 is the only game worth playing on the 360 right now, for Live. It's easy to 'team-up' with friend's, play 'ranked' games, and earning achievements is always a plus.

  I still play Halo 2 very often, because it's easy to play with a friend, or a group of friend's, and rank up together. It just seems more competitive, and fun in ranked. Even original Xbox games like, Burnout: Takedown, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow/Chaos Theory would let you play with friend's in ranked matches.

  Good luck playing with friend's in Ranked matches with Perfect Dark: Zero, Burnout: Revenge, or even Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. They could prevent boosting, cheating, etc., with a Matchmaking System like Halo 2. I will be honest, Ghost Recon's Co-Op was extremely fun, but after the 4 levels were completed within 2 hrs., there was no reason to go back and play it again... and in that awesome game, it is a mission itself just to get a game started with some friend's.

  The only games I am looking for to playing on Xbox Live are a few arcade games like Hoopworld and Street Fighter II, Phantasy Star Universe, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and of course, Halo 3.

  I'm done, I just think I am a little disappointed with Xbox Live right now.

Battlefield Modern Combat on the 360 has renewed my social experience on the 360. Halo 2 is popular becuase it's a great game and it's a social experience.

Anyway, it's nice to see FFXI up there. It really is a good MMO. Old, yes but until WoW came along and turned MMOs upside down FFXI was the biggest MMO in the world.

Dang. Whatever knocks Halo 2 off the top will have to be given major Kudos.

The reason Halo 2 is at the top is because the majority of people have multiple accounts. The average number of accounts a person on Halo 2 has is 3. So if that one person signs into those 3 accounts once a week they triple Halo 2's number of sign ins to the game, therefore making it the "most played Xbox Live game", which it easily isn't. I promise that if everyone who played Halo 2 only signed into one account at all, it might not even be in the top ten games played.

The reason PGR3 kicked PDZ off the top ten was that it got DLC first. Once PDZ gets it's DLC then it will easily go back up on the top ten. Heck, right before Halo 2 got it's first DLC it was #5 on that list, then it went back up to #1 when it got DLC. Games like Conker: L&R, Rainbow 6 and others were beating it.

The fact of the matter is that if game developers don't release new content 4-5 months after release of the game, the game will get boring and people will look for new games. But if you can release DLC 4 month after it's release it will keep it's replay value. I think if they can release PDZ content this upcoming week, they could be around #3-#5, since they are releasing maps, bot personalities, fixing ranked matches, and adding Dark Ops bots. That should help lead it being more played than most games out there.

Dashboard update May 2nd

My xbox keeps freezing so i called today to get it fixed and the lady who helped me said that Live would be down for 24hrs on May 2nd for the spring update. This hasta be the new dashboard that they promised for a spring release.

Am i nuts... is this old news. why didn't we hear about this from the usual channels. She told me to tell my friends

do they have the top 25 xbox live games on xbox.com anymore? i'd like to see what original xbox games are still popular outside the top 10

Its very sad that HALO serie means this much to MS and xbox world...

I really hoped halo2 woul be beaten,but this just prove that 95% of the xbox owners just play halo2 mp.

all the launch title games except for cod 2 and pgr 3 are dieing off now.  im surprised to see the 360 version of bf2 not in the top 5 TONS of people are playing it.  i suppose the pdz crowd migrated to it perhaps?  and i agree with Jpmoonwalker major nelson, i second upgrading the list to top 25.  i always enjoy seeing who is battling it out from 15 to 25 every week because it truly changes.  unlike the top ten which is almost always the same.  

Why is it a sad day for gaming? That so many people are playing the same game and having fun together? Halo will soon fall; each Xbox 360 chips away at Halo's base. However, I've still not run into a game where with a few simple button presses, you're in a game. And until something can replicate that, Halo 2 will stay where it is/

Holy Christ, who cares what everyone else is playing?

The Outfit isn't up there but it's my favorite game, and I'm not complaining.

The reason why Halo 2 is still on top is because it's very easy to get into, the game does everything for you, from finding and putting you into matches to helping you aim, which is perfect for joe casual, i have a few cousins that won't get off Halo 2, why? Beause they're too scared to try something else, and because whenever they do try something else they usually suck ass at it and crawl back to Halo 2 since it's easy to play and they don't give anything else a chance.

I myself left the game ages ago, it has one of the worst online communities i've come across and i'm sad to see it at no1 since i think other games deserve it more but there you go, i don't think anything will knock it off the top spot until Halo 3, maybe something like Gears of War will take the spot for a couple of weeks, but i doubt anything other than Halo 3 will knock it off the top spot completely.

ITS SAD because of three things.

1.we have a extremly big majority of gamers who left all other online games and never came back.

2.Why would dev even bother to try and fully exploit online games if they know halo3 will just steal all live players,and why even dev content for it then.

3.It shows that halo2 is the only online game xbox live users seem to think its good enough to play,also this will surely lead to MS forcing bungie or delay halo3 and to care  for their MP part much more then the SP,im not supriced if halo3 sp will suck so much this time that its only worth buying for the MP part.

I am wanting Halo 3 even more now i think that Halo 2 has been onto for too long
