Not to be picky but the Blue Angels are actually Naval Aviators.  The Thunderbirds are the branch of the Air Force.  Awesome show, can't wait for HD-DVD!

The same here. One of my friends was round yesterday playing on my 360 and said and I quote "Wow, XBOX is taking over, I hope the PS3 is this good...". It seems that Sony brand is too much for people to let go for some reason or another. I don't get it.

The show was off to a great start. For the first time in many episodes I got the impression that this was not going to be the typical "hyrbaganda" routine. I appreciated the Saints Row comments and your conversation with the PS3 user. "THERE WAS NO REASON AT ALL"...Thank you!!!!! Welcome to the maddening world of fanboism, this is what I have been talking about all along (and been banned for). Some people (on either side) just are not willing to hear a voice of constructive reasoning. I must also commend you on this version of HD-DVD comments, much better than the "experts" you had on before that seemed to be very poorly informed about the "other" format (for example Blu-Ray's superior, although thinner, clear protective layer). Thank you for also bringing up the HDMI thing and watching the fellas dance around it. It was fun watching them attempt to backpedal the entire lack of HDMI issue. They should worry about it, although they say and attempt to justify that they don't, it was the greatest single failure of the 360 console design at launch. Some people really can see and know the difference, maybe not 95% of gamers, but some others can and do. I will correct the guests implication that Sony is somehow "forcing" Blu-Ray on people. Sony chose a hi-cap optical format to deliver it's games on. Even if the format were to "fail" how would that stop them from successfully using it for games? All game discs are painted into propritary corners, big deal. It's not like you can take an Xbox or Playstation game disc and stick it in any other player and use it. Movie playback on any console is a bonus not a purchase determining feature. Sony and Apple chose Blu-Ray, therefore MS must choose HD-DVD, is there really anymore to it that that? Not really! Are people actually suggesting that least open-source company in it's industry is making this decision for the good of consumers? I think not.

They seamed to blow off the HDMI question, as far as i know the concern is if they start using HDCP on the disks (part of the HD spec) we will not beable to play movies. Can you find the answer to this major?

I'm listening now, and just heard the part about HDMI.  Why down play the option?  We all know there are alternate connections, but HDMI is easier (one cable connection).  Why the reluctance to support it?

Good show Major, any possible way to check to see what date the next wave of XBLA games will be announced on and/or what they will be. We've heard dates all the way up to Pac-Man and I know Texas Hold 'Em had a date originally on the xbox.com website, but has since been changed to TBD. Any info on when the next announcement will be or what games will be the next to be released would be greatly appreciated. The whole XBLA Wednesdays program has been great, Street Fighter especially.

Smithy NZ, I think it would be safe to assume *if* studios start enabling HDCP (and they have not announced any definitive plans), MS would release an HDMI cable in order to support it. At this time, cost isn't justified to MS - just not enough people use HDMI (I do, but I also have my own home theater ;)). On top of that, most HDTVs only support 1 HDMI input (there are a few with multiple, Pioneer Elites for example, but mostly high end), that means if you run your cable box through HDMI or anything else, you need to have an Amp that supports HDMI switching (not many do, and those that do are expensive). For right now, HDMI just doesn't make sense.
