National ban is not correct. It is not published by MS Germany and gets no advertising. But you can buy it everywhere as an imported version from Austria or UK. Believe me, everyone here in Germany is also playing Gears like in any other country right now.

The most important question is: Will the downloadable content for Gears Of War be available on the german marketplace...
if not - it would give XBL-Goldmembercounters a boost, because almost every german GoW-owner (and those are more than you might think) would create a new false membership with fake-adresses and stuff just to get the downloads.
I just heard from a friend that GoW is completely sold out in Austria for the next 2 weeks. Guess who gets a big share of their copies ?
