Stream Orb content to your Xbox 360

If you are an Orb user, you can now stream content to your Xbox 360. Check out the Xbox 360 section of the Orb site for all the info.  This may be just the think if you don’t want to go the whole Media Center route.

I have not tested this software, so use at your own risk. Your mileage may vary. etc etc.

Works pretty good for the 360 and it can also be used for the wii and ps3 also.

Does this mean I can stream DivX video? That would be so awesome! Hopefully the 360 will be as good a meadia machine as the PS3 someday, but maybe this can be used until that day comes.

Hey Major, do you know what today's Oblivion patch was about today? I mean, there should be some sort of site where we can go and see what all these patches are addressing.

Pretty stupid if you ask me.  Just use Windows Media 11 and your fine. I don't know why it says it can use Youtube. Unless you want to stream video files that aren't WMV, its worthless. I wanted to see if it streamed music from iTunes and it doesn't. That is all I want.

I don't think it is a big deal.. if it let you stream files OTHER than what it already lets us do ... then it would be fantastic.. but it doesn't.. so ya.. pointless.

Allows you to stream ANY file type capable of being played on your computer.  Streamed a few Divx files to test.  Takes about 30sec to start transcoding then it plays fine.  Just dont try to skip ahead.

How did you get it to play those files, Mike?  My computer can play divx files but they don't show up on the files list for me.  Do I have to turn off Media Connect to use Orb?

You have been able to stream just about anything you want to your 360 using Tversity for a very long time now.

I have not used orb, but tversity works great for me so I see no reason to switch. I can stream divx,xvid,wmv,avi,mpg,aac,mp3,to name a few.
