I first played this at the UK PESRankings final on 360 and it was superb. Then the demo hit and apart from seeming slightly faster and only being single player it's still fantastic.

Roll on next Thursday when I'm lucky enough to be attending the UK Launch Party for PES2008 (Third Year Running).

Before everyone gets their panties in a bunch about how we Yanks use the term "soccer". We didn't invent it. The term comes from England in the late 1800s. From Wikipedia:

"The term soccer first appeared in the 1880s as a slang abbreviation of Association football"

In Japan it's Winning Eleven, then it's released as PES in the UK and Europe only to be rebranded Winning Eleven again for the US.

Seems a silly thing to do and Konami have finally decided to ditch it. Hence the rebranding from PES7 to PES2008 across all territories.
