If you are looking for that perfect gift for the racing fan in your life, the Wireless Racing Wheel is now US $99. It may be worth checking out if you are in the market for a large box under your tree this year.
Nice, but what is it CDN? $125?
Great. Something I never plan on buying or using.
How about a price drop on the wireless adapter? I mean, $100 retail after 2 years? You can find it cheaper and on sale, but this thing shouldn't cost any more than $50.
Same for the 20GB HDD. Why is it still $100? In fact shouldn't the 120GB be around $100-120?
I wonder if it still sets your house on fire?
umm, yeah. I just looked at wal-mart.com and bestbuy.com via the link on xbox.com. They don't have them either. So where can I get one again?
Thats awesome news Major just one question will it continue to ship with PGR3?
Thats great news Major! One question will it continue to ship with PGR3?
Awesome wheel, period!!
Nice I have been wanting a wheel
Why am I not getting alerts on the new postings anymore (been that way a while now). I resubscribed via the SUB Alerts button but still no alerts...
If it works w/ Burnout I'll be getting it. Oh and what the hell does it have to do w/ the wireless adapter. Go buy a Access Point from dlink for cheaper and you can use it on something else in the future. Whine whine whine. How do you stand it Major?
For the guy who asked about the prices of the network adapter and the HDD, these things were always overpriced. The reason they remain that way is b/c they continue to sell at a rate that is still satisfactory to MS. The accessories are a large part of why MS is able to profit on the 360. I want them to make a decent profit, b/c I want them to stay in video games but I also wish they would get the prices on the accessories down more quickly. The HD DVD drive is standing at 180 when you can get a standalone unit for 200. That doesn't make sense at all other than the fact that people keep buying the drive. If you want the prices on these things to drop, you have to ask your friends to stop buying them until they are down to a decent price. Hopefully this will drop the price of the wheel a bit further on Ebay. $100 is still too much.
I have called around and no one has them in stock yet.
I wish the wheel worked with Test Drive. I'd be willing to pay extra money for that.
Glad to see the price drop. I paid $130 for mine and never looked back; love it for Forza 2 and PGR3 (I have yet to get PGR4).
Still too much for me, is it bundled and come with a game?
The wheel was on sale for $100 CDN during the release of Forza 2. And I've seen a lot of used copies of Forza 2 for $25.
Cheap things come to those who wait.
Cheaper is always good, but what about the wireless adapter??? it needs to come down!
The wheel is 99.99 ERP in Canada as well.
this is cool
You know that's great but since the end of August I've been waiting for my retrofit kit for my existing wheel.
I sent the form in.... got no response!
I raised a ticket through the Xbox.com website... it never got a response!
I phoned the support line... guy thinks I want a replacement power supply and then promises that it will be delivered to me on 25th December 2007 (possibly by Santa as he'll be the only person delivering on that day)
It's now been 4 months and still I cannot safely use my wheel. I'm not sure if other people are in the same boat as me, but perhaps Microsoft needs to prioritise ensuring existing customers are safe and that helpdesk staff are aware of recall information. I'm technical saavvy, but a parent may not be. I'm frankly appalled that I am jumping through hoop after hoop after hoop and still getting nowhere.
Obviously my family's safety isn't important to Microsoft!
I just hope there is a UK price drop. £90/$18o is way too much.....
god - whatever news it it good or bad - people find something to critisise don't they
If it comes with Forza 2 at that price, that's a steal.
Cool, now maybe I can find it on eBay for a price that's actually reasonable.
