To all the people whining about the people whining about achievements: quit! It doesn't take a genius to realize that "Xbox Originals" are a bad deal and a poor investment. I wish Xbox/Major Nelson would just stop pushing them. They offer nothing that you can't get at your local used game store/craigslist for the same price or less. Then they don't take up HDD space on a very small drive. Don't even get me started ranting on the price of the 120GB hard drive. It's not profit at that price, it's gouging the consumer.
Is this program an abysmal failure or what? We'll know if Major has the program manager on his show to extol its virtues, a la Shadowrun.
In regards to achievements. Digdug has achievements, but little to no effort went in to retooling that game. Dig Dug is emulated.
What if 200 achievement points was simply awarded to you if you completed the game? The X Box emulator could trigger the achievements. Just having trouble buying, “Nothing” can be done.
Okay so we don’t get achievement points for the current titles, but does that mean that Microsoft should make no effort to change it?
Also, forgive me people… I’d like to play Wings of War and Snoopy vs. the Red Baron, both original Xbox titles, neither supported through backwards compatibility. Don’t be too mean to me. Lol!

Bring Matrix: Path of Neo and MGS 2 to Xbox Originals! I'd definitely buy them since they arent BC at present.
Richthofen, you aren't seriously comparing an 80s arcade game to an Xbox game, are you? You're talking apples and oranges there. No one's saying you can't have your WoW or Snoopy (although I doubt you'll see them as an Xbox Original any time soon), but why MUST it have achievements to be worth your money? It may be possible to tack on a game-completion achievement, but in order for it to be worth doing at all, it would have to include achievements throughout the game, and that, as already said, would require redeveloping a LOT of the game. And that would pretty much defeat the purpose of it being an Xbox ORIGINAL in the first place.
Im tired of seing people post about how the service sucks, if you don't like it don't use it and keep it to yourself cause I could care less what you think.

Ninja Gaiden is hard to get hold of in PAL format, it's on amazon but nobody ships to my country. 6GB sounds a bit steep though, and maybe not even available.

That both games are running off emulators. That is how I was saying they where the same. And that it could be included in the emulator to look for key events to trigger Achievements.
