In case there was any confusion about what Don Mattrick said being unique to Xbox 360 for GTA IV, he was referring to the exclusive episodes that will be on Xbox Live starting Fall 2008. I hope that clears things up.
Hurry get the torches ready!!! ;)
I entered my details wrong on GTA website lol, i put Jan 99, rather than 90.. and not its being saying "You cannot view this site" for a week now.
Anyway to change it, or a Rockstar just playing silly games.
Still though, yay for episodic content. Always a plus.
Xbox 360 for GTAIV?
Major, can Don or yourself clarify if Krusty the Clown was to blame for the RRoD epidemic?

Thanks for the correction...
I can't believe that his comment made that big of a splash. I read it and thought he was only talking about the exclusive content and basic Xbox Live service. People just love to start flame wars.
major i know you trying to help the guy but really its his job to "To clarify..." hes the one that mess up not you, not to be rude but really people need to fix there issues on there own like this example just in case..
you know i mean?? you should just told him to explain it but reminded him on how to say it..
The 360 version is already going to stomp the PS3 version into the dust sales wise thanks to the exclusive episodes but if i were MS i'd run with it and expand the exclusive episodes to 4.Releasign the episodes during the fall/Christmas season is also a smart ploy if inded that's what's happening.
Off topic...
I really hope Microsoft is working behind the scenes on a more lenient DRM scheme, especially for people who get replacement consoles or have more than one 360 in a household.
If I can't download these episodes around that time, I will be amazingly pissed. I'm already limited to what I download by trailers and demos and I hope these episodes won't be blocked or expect angry letters.
thats what i thought, but i was wondering if he was talking about both... thanks for clearing it up
thats what i thought, but i was wondering if he meant both... thanks for clearing it up major
Sony likes to claim that the PS3 version is superior - but they always forget that the 360 gets exclusive content.
It's also guaranteed that you don't have to install the game on the 360 either.
"We can use 200gb hard drives!"
"Yeah, well we don't have to install our games because the read speed for BluRay is so low..."
The Sony crowd seems to have somehow forgotten that a 2x BluRay has a constant read speed that is just barely higher than the minimum read speed of a 12x DVD. But since the speed increases as you near the center of the disc, a 12x DVD at it's fastest is twice as fast as a 2x BluRay's constant speed.

@ ANon22
there talking about the DRM on the downloadable episodes.
If you own both consoles and one of them has DRM issues making the downloadable content a risky venture, why not just stick with the PS3 version?
Anon 22: The exclusive episodic content for the 360 is going to be DLC (hence the DRM issues if they don't fix it by then), and I haven't heard anything about it being sold on disc.
it's sad that this was even a story on these "big media" blogs and such. if they bothered to even listen they wouldn't known what Don was referring to instead of just running with a "hot, get me hits" story.
