Nice! Is this available for all regions?
Nice! I'm a big fan of the Mr.Driller games I'm getting this for sure.
This was a great game but it should have been 400 pts like the other Namco games on XBLA. It seems as if there's hardly any more 400 pt titles lately.
Sweet, this is going to be a definite download.
CUE DRM unhappiness and anger posts.........
*runs*
Sorry its not a constructive first post from me, but i saw the page was blank and well it is inevitable....
What about Ikaruga! I can't wait!
What about Ikaruga? I can't Wait!!!!!!
I haven't played this game in years! I can't wait for it!
Mr. Driller is awesome! I have loved this game since the Dreamcast days. The Nintendo DS version is pretty sweet as well. Definitely a great release.
So is this a classic arcade game (in which case it would be 400 points) or is it a new game like Pac Mac CE (in which case it would 800 points)?
Rumours point to Ikaruga next week.
I'll be picking this one up, along with the COD map pack this week. Need to go and buy some points cards as Debit still isn't accepted over live :(
Is there a dashboard update tommorow .. or just system maintenance?? (srry off topic.. but an e-mail will never get through) ;-)
Is this an adult title?
;)
Sweet keep the puzzle games coming.
The Arcade guys at Microsoft really need to start thinking about what they have done to the service. Ask around and you will find that a lot of people feel that the XBLA is filled with "crap" and I have to agree that it is.
Yes, there are a lot of good games in there too, but they are difficult to find in all of the madness. The sorting provided by the Marketplace doesn't help either.
I really hope these guys are noticing how the service seems to be degrading while it's competition is upgrading. There needs to be a lot of major releases (Bionic Commando is a good one) this year. Passing out games such as this will only add to the nasty clutter and detract customers from purchasing games.
commando 3 plz
What a coincidence! A game with the same name that the ladies call me. ;)
Oh and Infn3on, I don't know how they do it over in the UK, but here in the States, you can use debit cards to buy points and memberships through Live.
This game will be worth $10 for me---I don't think we ever had multiplayer Driller before since the Gamecube Driller game was never released here. If you don't want it, don't buy it, but this game is hardly crap. This and (hopefully) Ikaruga next week means two straight weeks of win. And I agree with the poster who brings up the Crave shooters, as I asked about them in a previous entry but my post got deleted. Old-school shooters are excellent, be they arcade ports or not, for 800 points I'd snatch them up.
And I don't see how anyone claims that the competition is upgrading---Nintendo is releasing at most two classic games for months now (usually crap too) and Sony's PSN, regardless of what update they give to their poorly designed store, is run by morons, where they lack in original content they lack even more on PS1 releases. I'm beginning to think Sony is allergic to making money.
I will say that MS needs to update the XBLA store to make it easier to find games... when you want to look up shooters, for instance, they all aren't listed there. They can also phase out lower-performing, non-Arcade Hits games and cycle through them to keep from cluttering up the 'digital shelves' with too many options.
I will admit that I have never played Mr. Driller and I am not purchasing it because it does not look interesting and doesn't look like it is worth the price by description, reviews, screenshots, and gameplay videos.
I apologize to the fans of this game for implying that Mr. Driller is "crap."
My post was not to say that this game is "crap", but that the XBLA is full of it. "crap" is a generalizing word describing games that lack that certain something. In comparison; think of it like a 5/10 or lower rating. Also there are a lot of things that just aren't worth the cost of admission.
XBLA is cluttered too. Things are not always were you would expect them to be either. Searching by genre is not the best way to do it.
I really think that the Marketplace as a whole needs its own search engine. That would help a lot. Then add more filtering options, such as esrb rating, publisher, developer, et cetera.
Nintendo is coming out with WiiWare and PSN has advantages that XBLA cannot compete with without MS having to make exceptions (see bionic commando again for an example). Nintendo also has a lot more popular classics than XBLA. And its much easier to locate a game on their service (albeit they need some filtering added too). No matter how much you want to argue, I continue to believe that Nintendo and Sony are in fact "upgrading" their online services and adding more/better content. I don't own a PS3, so I only say this from what I read, hear and see (on others PS3's). I do have a Wii and an Xbox360.
Sorry to offend. You shouldn't take peoples opinions so harshly, though. It's just my opinion. I don't really even purchase digital downloads because I am not in support of that form of delivery until a "hard copy" process is in place. I'm just a geek who pays attention to the things going on in the gaming industry.
Take it or leave it, but don't "attack" me for supplying my personal opinion.
