Earlier today EA/Harmonix announced that the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band will be arriving in Europe on May 23rd. You can check out the coverage of the announcement here.

169€ for the instruments WITHOUT the game???? WTF????
never ever. i don't pay 240€ to play Rock Band. that's about 360$. i hope they fail with this really hard.
It's good to see that it's finally coming, however the price is a bit of a disappointment. What a dilema.
Yeah, and it's over twice the price of the US version! Would like to hear your thoughts on this matter (along with e) in the next podcast, Major. At £180, it's a definite no sale for me!
The pricing for Europe is going to suck along with the bundles. Their are 2 bundles:
Instrument Edition: £130/€170
Rock Band Game: £50/€70

EA ripping us off in Europe. 240€ for the game and controllers when it's 107€ in USA. What's up with that?
Oh well, I'm not getting it anymore, after todays announcements. Over double the price, only available in UK/Germany/France (as a start, costs more than an US 360 and the game (Seriously, thats OVERPRICED like hell). It's just not worth the 379$ >.>
Oh well, I'm thinking of importing it from the US (The package + getting it over here + a PAL game = Still cheaper than the price over here)...

Hey Nelson, can you tell EA thanks for screaming us over again! It's nice to know not only am I paying 3 times the price of the game than my American friends, I also can't buy a bundle. I have to buy the game and then the instruments separately. So stupid. So angry. So upset.
I usually play FPS and I was so excited after playing Rock Band in the US for something new! And this happens :(

@Rubicant: Unfortunately only the PS3 version is region-free. Although who knows, it might be cheaper to import the full game from the US, sell the disc and buy the solus game in Europe! What a load of rubbish!
Double the price of the US, only launching in UK, Germany and France, selling the game alone and then an instruments pack (only containing instruments) = Bullshit. If I'm getting it... Then I'm importing, as having to pay for a trip to Germany and double the price just doesn't suits me. It costs more than an US 360 AND the US Rock Band Special Edition...

Could this be the first time ever that a game's recommended retail price is actually higher than the console you need to play it?
6 month wait to be told we have to pay over double our friends in America to play the game. I don't understand how they can justify this one. Patient fans are now very disappointed.

You can get Rock Band + All downloadable songs for LESS than we get the game for. You can probably almost afford an extra guitar with the money left over too. Stupid.
