yea!!!!
What's the point of releasing a demo after the game has been released.
nice, try it out... waiting for it cheap.
@Grumpybum: to lure in people like myself who've been on the fence after mixed reviews maybe?
Will be downloading this, love the lego games. Easy to pick up and play.
kool
Thanks Major!
I tried out the PC demo that was released a while ago. It was pretty fun.
For one thing it lets people who might not have known the game came out or couldn't afford it have a chance to play...the full game was a lot of fun, and other than the lack of Online Co-op, it was just as good as the Star Wars games. Highly Recommended for the whole family.
Yeah really wish they had online Coop. That's why I'm settling for the cheaper PC version (can still use the 360 controller, so it's no different).
But what about the DRM tool? When will that be released? June is almost over!
Huh, it's already out? Oh.
Quick couple of questions.. how big is the file? and how much does the demo cover?
I downgraged from Gold to Silver last week (after being an XBL member since the original Xbox beta) and assume this is another demo that will be delayed for Silver members?
Just a point on this Major: I can download the likes of the Top Spin 3 (demo) for the PS3 but have to wait a week for the 360 version - this will have a knock-on effect to your software sales: if I (& others) try the PS3 version & like it then naturally that's the version we'll go out and buy. By the time the 360 demo becomes available to us Silver members it'll be too late.
I know you're trying to give perceived value to your paying Gold members, but in view of what I have said perhaps Microsoft should review this 'delaying' policy?
PS: I downgraded because of 2 reasons: PSN provides a similar (free) service and online gaming is losing its appeal due to the amount of half-wits that populate the online 'community'!!! No offence intended to the vast majority of 'decent' gamers that I've met and played with/against on XBL.
I passed on the retail version due to lack of LIVE co-op. So I'll definitely be getting the demo, thanks.
Maybe we'll hear more about the next gen Indy title at E3.
About time, deffiently will check it out since i wasnt sure about buying it. Anyone know when the real version of Indiana releases?
decent enough game...just traded it in today though towards GH:aerosmith :)
Does this have co op on live?
I've been waiting for this demo for ages. Can't wait to try it out.
picked this one up used for 40 beaners.
It has a good old school feel. best with 2 player co-op
Very nice indeed, I loved the lego star wars games and ASDA (Walmart) have this game on offer so I get to try before I buy.
Because not everyone buys a game the day it's released.
I think that releasing this demo was a good idea (even after the game came out). This allows players who were trying to decide if they want to buy this game or not an opportunity to at least test drive a portion of the game. I am going to be downloading this today and trying it. I just may make the $49.99 purchase sometime this weekend of the game play is fun enough, and captures my attention.
Played the PC demo when 1Up linked to it a while back. I have the PS2 version here because it was the cheaper one to find and I also found it used.
If you like LSW, then you will like this. If you like Indiana Jones you will like this. If you like achievements, this game will make you work for them if LSW is any indication. Don't die hehehe...
As for the other Silver user who mentioned they downgraded. Welcome to ghetto town baby, population YOU, and I am the Mayor, Major Healey. Your reasons are pretty much why a lot of us left Gold. Just not worth the hassle, online achievements be durned dabmabbit...
So no Kiss Of Death because I already own this (PS2), so it will be nice to find it for the 360 USED soon. I meant what I said about that. Any company that supports MS' carrot and stick show with this "wait one week" junk, you lost my money and many others too I bet. So don't cry about USED games when you are helping MS keep this policy intact. This is a stupid policy, and you know it.
One day the PS3 is going to put out a game that MS won't have an answer for (it might be MGS4 at the rate it is selling, and the Wii already did it with Wii Sports); then this policy will really hit home.
XBox 360 - There is a better way. Slap the moneyhats and tell them to sit down.
what's the point?, after i bought the game and found it to be crap, and now it's gathering dust like so many of my other games. now they release the demo?, why not two months ago. Duhh.
