Go! Go! Break Steady and 1942: Joint Strike will hit this Wednesday for 800 points each.
Man, at first I thought this was a Wario Ware/Rhythm Tengoku type game, but it turns out it's just another match-the-buttons- game like Boom Boom Rocket. Shame.
release castle crashers!
Where be Castle Crashers, gawd-dammit!?!
No one cares about these games, Major. Castle Crashers or Bionic Commando, please. That will silence us for another month.
No!!!!!
We want Castle Crashers! T.T
Any plans to return to offering XBLA games at the 400 MS Pts price point?
Better than last week for sure.
1942!!!! Finally I can't wait to download this bad boy!
Well at least 1942 is good, as for the other one...I actually forgot its name. Enough said. Better then last week, true. How about Samurai Shodown?
what is going on with arcade were are all the classic games ?? you asked us for our opinions and youve just not listened ? comon ms give us some classics
JOINT STRIKE! Excitement!
It is amazing to me how fast arcade has gone down hill. I know they don't want to exclude the non-fanatic-gamers, but they seem to go out of their way to NOT accomodate all tastes. 1942 is nice to see, but really, where are the cool new games like Castle Crashers and such? And (in agreement with a previous post) where are the 400 point games? Here we're dealing with a product that is simply downloaded, so there's absolutely no physical production costs (other than the manual programming labor) and yet we're still seeing 10 and 15 (even 20) dollar games that aren't that good. I remember when both Microsoft and Sony created their cheap budget line of games you buy in the store for $10 and $15. Those sold, and companies were happy, even though they still had the physical production of the game to pay for. They still made money.
But, price aside, I would be happy if they would gear the games more towards what all gamers would want, rather than appealing to a niche segment and saying, "See, there's something for everyone!" When in reality it means, "Sorry, you'll just have to wait."
Bottom line is that I was expecting a significant improvement with the Arcade experience, and all I've seen over the past couple of years is a stagnant experience that has been hampered by someone, somewhere, thinking that they know what we want when all they had to do was ask.
since people are talking about other arcade games, PLEASE MAJOR CAN YOU ASK THEM TO BRING AGE OF EMPIRES TO ARCADE. PLEASE
Ahhh crap :( Wanted castle crashers.
MS points will be saved this week for sure.
Where is Bionic commando!??! Such a let down...
"No one cares about these games, Major."
Speak for yourself. I've been looking forward to 1942 ever since it was announced.

You should bother reading a few articles about Castle Crashers and other mega-games coming to XBLA. CC will be out within a month, and so will Braid.
What 400 Point games has XBLA produced that are top-notch new IPs? What about PSN, or WiiWare for that matter? Answer: Few. Very Few. You don't understand the budgets that go into these indie games, and the amount that has to be charged to see any sort of return on their investment.
XBLA has a huge, deep, catalog of games appealing to all gamers. Problem is, not every company out there wants to greenlight a bigger game (ala Castle Crashers, or Braid) for XBLA, when they can only charge, as you, like other gamers are crying over $15-20 games. And guess what? If a company charges $10 per game, after MS's cut, they make no more than $7.00 per game. if the game costs $250,000 to make (which is on the lower end of the XBLA cost spectrum), they have to sell no less than 35,714 units to make their investment back. This can take months if the game is "OK", which can be a problem for companies revenue streams.
Again: in 1 month, Castle Crashers, Braid, Geometry Wars 2, Galga Legions, and a few other big games will be on XBLA. If that doesn't make you happy, nothing will. XBLA isn't retail.
nobody wants this, period. even the developers' mothers aren't interested.
