Domo Arigato Hryb-San.
even though I'm not Japanese XD
Fun demo, the PC version is better. "The Valve Complete" pack with 22 games including "Left for Dead" is $99.99 at Steam.
I got the full game of steam yesterday.
Great game.
How is the PC version better? I hope you're not just talking about graphics.
Major, you getting back into Dead Space got me back in, also. Can't believe I put it down!
Really nice :) Zombies Brrr !!! haha
Will this demo be removed from the marketplace after a week also?
I love L4D, but without a demo available, it's hard to convince people the game is worth the money, considering there are only 4 'movies' that can be run through in an hour each.
ImaginedBug: Yeah the single-player campaign is pretty short, but the real replay value comes from the online campaign and versus modes, and the AI Director that makes the gameplay unique with every playthrough.
@ imagined Bug try doing it in a hour on expert
I just want to be the first to welcome Japan to the greatest gave ever made.
Suggested to a friend yesterday that he download the demo and give this game a try, but lo and behold it wasn't available anymore???
Are you going to release it in the other regions again? I'm not gonna buy it unless i try it first..
@Jicky Jacks
Yeh, Maj revealed it was a limited time only demo. I had played it and deleted it, but after getting many invites for the Demo (then later the full), I decided to re-download it. Only way I could if via Download History. I thought I was going crazy for a sec. I guess recommending he rent it now then.
@ MACPH1ST0: I am talking about the graphics, but not just the graphics, the controls are better too
@ Ganon255: Could you please elaborate on the difference in the controls of the two versions? Is it more than just the typical superiority of aiming with a mouse over using a thumbstick?
Wait. Rated 'M' because of an "alcohol reference"?!?
You're blowing zombified humans' heads apart, setting bodies on fire, seeing exploding bodies and dismembered corpses everywhere, plus the strong language and general FPS violence, and the rating is tagged "M - ALCOHOL REFERENCE"?!?!
What... the... heck...?
just looking at who made it is enough to buy if u ask me, pc or box
@MACPH1ST0
ever herd of mods :D
CyberKnight - I think the general rule is that it's okay because they're not real people you're killing.
I'd be really interested in seeing the download data for this, if possible. It's not a game I would have immediately thought as appealing to a Japanese audience.
Willeth- That's cold, man. My MOTHER was infected! SHE WAS A SAINT! HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST SHE'S NOT A REAL PERSON!...
...
Ok, seriously. I think the game should definitely be rated 'M'. It just seems of all the things to highlight as reasons, I can't figure out why they'd pick "alcohol reference". I can't even remember an alcohol reference in the game -- unless you count Molotov "cocktails". Maybe one of the characters makes a quip about having a drink at some point?
Oh, I agree. I'm just pointing out some of the weirdness with rating systems. Like that violence is fine as long as blood is green, or whatever.
Willeth - I know this is not your rule, just the general rule. However, if its because we're not killing "real people" then why does alcohol get a warning. It's not real alcohol either, unless this game comes with a coupon for a 12 pack that I'm not aware of?
MACPH1ST0:
It's a combination of superior graphics, superior controls, community content (custom maps, like all Source games have, that will never be available on the 360 version), and better support (Valve's style of patching is microupdates fast and often. That doesn't work on consoles. Look at how much TF2 content still hasn't made it to the 360 version. Same will happen for L4D).
dont understand the point with alcohol reference too but this game rocks! i have so much fun at playing it
Not a huge fan of this game. It's fun but EXTREMELY repetitive. They needed more levels.
