I have mentioned Photosynth in the past, but now it’s time to get the community involved. If you are going to attend the US Presidential inauguration next week in Washington D.C., head over to CNN.com to see how you can help create a Presidential style Photosynth. I am sure a few of you may go, so this is your chance for you to capture the moment for the rest of us to enjoy. Head here to read (and see) more on Photosynth or read more on the team blog. Dust off the camera and good luck.
It will cost you 50,000 M$ points.
yea im going, hopefully it will be great because i didn't pay 10,000 for nothing
@ravinshield
Pay 10,000 for what??
????
Funny, I just watched an episode of CSI: NY titled "Admissions" on Spike that mentioned Photosynth.

I'll be there! I would love to participate in the Photosynth, maybe we can get the whole parade route. :)
What does this have to do with XBox?
@UnHoly One
I heard hotels in the central DC area were renting out their rooms for the period at ridiculous rates. Not sure about as high as 10,000.
I am incredibly excited to be going to an inauguration. Until now they haven't really been appealing to me - but this time around I hope Obama will do a good job.
Please don't let us down in the next 4 years Mr. Obama.
wow.
10,000 dollars just to see him sworn into office?
unbelievable...
Although... I would gladly pay that much to see him removed from office, so I can't say much.
This has nothing to do with Xbox and not everyone here is from the United States or cares and not everyone likes Obama. Why didn't you post how Team PlayStation kicked our asses at CES 2009?
don't do work for these schmucks for free. when Major says this is your chance to "capture the moment for us all to enjoy", he really means "do the work that would otherwise cost us several $100k for free".
From their terms and conditions...

@Anon 3: Nothing, why does it matter? This is really cool, I can't wait to see the end result.
This is my blog where I blog about Xbox 360 and other tech items I think are interesting

@ Anon5 OMG the Blog owner went off topic for something that he is interested in. Stop the presses.
Nothing stupid about it at all.
Can't wait for the 20th, it's like xmas all over again!
I'm so sorry you have to deal with people like this, Major.
I seriously cringe every time I see such ignorant comments.
I'd go if I cared to be crowded by DC people, fellow Marylanders, and other people from out of state. But I'm not a fan of that. Getting kinda annoying watching the news with everything between that (especially since he'll be in Bmore tomorrow), an the Ravens/Steelers game.
Major,
I couldn't disagree with the anonymous guy more. Please post more things like this. Also, I thought that you said that when NXE launched you wouldn't need to post so many "Marketplace" updates here. I think the blog is still overrun with them. You added a new Marketplace tab at the top, any chance you could only show the Marketplace items there? Or have a "non-marketplace" tab? I remember Engadget did something like this around the time the iPhone launched because every other post was about the iPhone.
Later,
mAdAk
I live in the DC area and have no interest in watching this event. I really don't understand why people fly from far away just to see it? huh?
maybe if he was playing football and they sold beer and I could gamble on the outcome.. but just him talking? meh... I guess i'll stay inside since most of the roads will be closed.
@mAdAk Check out http://m.majornelson.com, it's in beta but it posts pretty much all marketplace content
Welcome to the Peoples Republic of America.
Socialism ftw??
I agree with rastansaga.
CNN is always asking for people to submit stuff for FREE and thus saving money off your free work. Also, I'd prefer not to help out the media. Unfair and Really Biased IMHO!
CNN can go back to making reports about their stupid war.
I also not digging the inauguration.
