Am I mistaken by thinking that this is not a deal at all since the subscription only works for current players? If they are in the playoffs now then this will "expire" at the end of the season. Yeah, no thanks EA. I'm going to spend my points on cheat codes and weapons that should've come with a game. Thank you!

lol Microsoft puts a crappy item on sale which 1-2% of users will buy that comes from EA, aka "Set-a-price-on-anything-they-feel-the-need-to-which-is-just-about-everything-that-can-be-unlocked-within-the-game". Yes.. I refuse to pay 1200 points for Lode Runner too, but at 800 i would consider it.

With 1200 and 1600 points for games, they lose alot of money in the end.

They should stick with 400 and 800.. Then i would buy alot more. I refuse to pay more for games on Live, than blockbuster budget games in a store.

Xbox 360 is my main gaming console, because its the best... But i also have PS3, and buy much more games on PSN because the prices is better, also because you often get more value than Live games. I dont like Sony, and the PSN selection isnt as big as Live.. but its overall better on pricing and quality on games.

As for Retail games, 360 beats PS3 by a mile! :-)

Go to amazon for arcade games, their deals are way better.

I guess microsoft is trying to set up some business points. There are going to be some people that will buy a certain item, no matter what it is. It would be smart for them not to put a deal on something very recent, like Lode Runner. (although increasing the price on an anticipated title at the last minute is just douchebaggery) So far the only good deals I have seen are Braid half off and Alien Hominid half off. One deal I would like to suggest is the expansion to the first Puzzle Quest.

And whoever said MS should stop doing deals should STFU. MS have may been giving useless deals lately, but some time around they might give a totally awesome deal. Everyone just has to be patient.

Your 2009 subscription will end at the end of the Playoff season!  Hahaah you're paying for NBA Live 365 roster updates that end the beginning of June.  It would be different if you were offering a subscription to next year's 2010 season, but this is pathetic IMO.  If you bought the game it came with a free sub.

EA, oh EA...am I the only person who remembers when roster updates were FREE? And who really cares about a roster update every day? I think most fans, of sports games, have their favorite teams, and modify their own rosters to be what they WANT their team to be, not to reflect how this stupid athlete is in jail for the next week, that one is in rehab, and oops, your key to success just hurt his toe and will be out for a month. I refuse to BUY any EA game with the awesome "EA MAY RETIRE ONLINE FEATURES AFTER 30 DAYS NOTICE POSTED ON www.ea.com OR 30 DAYS AFTER THE LAST DAY OF THE 2008- 2009 season" disclaimer...if that is what my business means to you, I will take it somewhere else. And FYI, I do PLAY their games, but I either pick them up used or rent them.

Nice to see that EA is just using the deal of the week to get some free advertising for their games.  If microsoft really cared about their fan's they would release good deals.  There's plenty of good content on arcade that we would love to see go on sale.

There should be some law against calling these dreadful offers "deals"

This is a great deal for the following reasons:

1) A Live 365 code came with the game, so only if you bought a used copy, you would already have Live 365.

2) If anyone was going to buy Live 365, they'd most likely have done so in the regular season.  

3) If anyone was going to buy Live 365 after the regular season, they'd most likely have done so before the 1st round started instead of in the middle of the 1st round.

4) Live 365 updates player tendencies each day according to a team's actual game the previous day, so it's good to jump in and buy it now when half the teams aren't even playing.

5) All this for a whopping savings of $2.50.
