Star Trek and Texas Cheat'em will be released this Wednesday on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 800 points each.
Yay, for 800 point games. Although Texas Cheat Em would probably drive me insane since I don't like cheaters.
Cool, count me in for Star Trek. Still recovering from the movie. Amazing stuff.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn
Sounds a bit crap to me. Still, I'll give 'em a go.
I'll try the demoes like I always do, but they didn't look that interesting on their profile pages on Xbox.com.
I haven't bought that many XBLA games this year, but I've had a great deal of fun with Peggle on Live, and I'm looking forward to Battlefield 1943 next month.
Don't you mean "sweat", DUSTIN? :P
A poker/card game I could probably get behind. Sounds kind of fun or at least not boring.
FIX THE GUIDE
will give a try... ;)
BTW...people are saying all the time that the guide is freezing...i just wanted to say that i dont have problems with my guide...never freezing.
Argh, Star Trek has my pet hate in its trailer - footage from the movie to try to make the game look better.
Isn't it about time all game trailers were forced to ONLY use in-game footage? It doesn't even matter if the game includes that footage, the fact its in the trailer makes the game appear better than it really is as its out of context.
Pass on both of this week's games. Both look very dull.
At least theres plenty of good upcoming XBLA games, with Cellfactor, King of Fighters '98 and Garou: Mark Of The Wolves all apparently due out soon.
@KristofferLygre - why pay $15 for 3 maps?
Oh well, another week to wait for something decent.
I'm suspicious that Star Trek may be a 1200 or 1600 point game
in "disguise". i've heard that many DLC packs are required
to get the full experience.
@TayGettaVendetta
I'm and oldscholl Battlefield fan since 1942, and so I'm looking forward to BF 1943. If people pay 1200 MS points for Braid and Castle Crashers, (which are good games btw) I don't see any problem in paying the same for BF 1943.
I might go tired of the same three maps after a while, but Wake Island is in the game, and if you ask me Wake is the best multiplayer map ever, so it'll keep me busy for several months I reckon. It's not like 1943 will be a tiny arcade game. It's a full blown FPS, only with fewer maps than normal.
A map pack normally costs 800 points, but 1943 isn't a map pack. It's a new game. If it's going to be good is another matter. I always try the demo first, anyway.
They had to mix scenes from the movie to advertise the game. That's not what I'd consider as a good sign.
Where is RBI Baseball? They announced it last year, I figured it would be released around the start of baseball season. Anyone know if that got cann'd? Or is it still coming out?
Really surprised me that a new licensed game coming out for only 800. I was expecting Star Trek to be at least 1200. I might actually try it out, if it was 1200 then I wasn't even going to bother with the trial unless it got spectacular reviews.
800 points for Star Trek? Sounds good to me! I'll be getting it if it doesn't suck. I wouldn't even consider it if it were 1200 points.
will see
Glad to see SANITY return to the prices! Star Trek is probably a must buy.
Ill save my points for the Fable DLC.
star trek screens look ok and 12 player online can't be bad can it??
800 points = cool game
1200 points= Sucky Game
I don't get it!
...wow.
Usually you put up more of an update than this Major. Meaning..a little more than "so and so is on for sale for this much".
In much of a rush or something? That post in itself was a little suspicious.
